Wait, so you know why it's crashing for me and from what you say other people?I mean I don't use firefox, I use Chrome, and even so shouldn't what file extension is shown be independent from your browser? For me it says Critter Pets and DragonAPI are JAR Files, not zip files.
The server serving the file with the version is no longer serving it so it throws that error. Depending on how many Reika mods you have, load up time will increase by up to 3 min per mod as each do their own check. I this currently only happens on version 1.6.4 of the mods.

I'm using a grass block trying to attract endermen and I can see packs of endermen about 30 blocks away and they aren't attracted to the box. I'm standing about 10 blocks away from the box, and can plainly see the endermen, close enough that if I look at them, they come to me. This happens in creative and SSP.
I'm using a coil at 524.248kw to get it to the max 128 block range, and this is v2. I feel like I'm overlooking something, but I'm not sure what.
Any suggestions?
The OP was trying out Expanded Redstone, Mob Harvester is not in Expanded Redstone.
Personally, I wish that Reika would just leave the url and option to toggle update check in the config so that if hosting becomes an issue at a later date, the url can be edited. A small addition to the TOS stating that if update checking is disabled or url is invalid, then bugs are not his responsibilities. This would wash his hands of most things.

The baitbox is currently broken.
however i know of the autonomous activator but i have no thermal expansion nor mfr in the modpack and am not going to add them. For machines i wanted to focus on ic2 and buildcraft this time and with thermal expansion in the pack i am to tempted to use them instead, so no.
totally forgot about the vanilla dispenser, so automated waterbucket filling solved, bog earth farm check :-)
guess i have to fight mobs at a spawner by hand :-) or see what buildcraft robots can do, or find yet another way, maybe vanilla has a way
