Now calculate the weight of all the items in your AE system.
Also: That looks awesome! Perhaps even on par with thaumcraft… Can't wait to see it when the textures are completed.
I made my own shader pack, by the way.
I just did the math (it took an hour)

So the total mass is 6.422x1011 kg, or about 1.5x as much as the mass of all humans on the planet.
EDIT: The table formatting screwed up, but the order of the data is name,number,mass-per-item,total-mass,scientific-notation.
and this is why we can't have nice things :P~ i would have designed a python script to calculate all of that and saved all the data for future uses, however it is very interesting how much junk you can store in an AE system. just exactly how much of that is useable vs. useless?
It is all usable, though not necessarily useful.
I has followed your tutorial and still it wont Work :/
Double-check solenoid placement and power, VDG usage, and toroid rotation.
Also:
Toroid is pointing towards the center.
And idk what VDG is?`
Id like to point out that those rings look in NO way aligned to how they should be
Right, remember the "Solenoid Magnet" in the center-bottom of that 3x3x2 bit RIGHT in the very middle of the reactor? The one that's supposed to be powered to let the whole pretty thing spin all awesome-like? Place a "Tokamak Blueprint Highlighter" DIRECTLY under that block. As in where the final shaft is that SHOULD be making the solenoid structure spin.
Then compare that to these three screenshots
http://imgur.com/2chlTsT
http://imgur.com/0mTiirz
http://imgur.com/HEJaq2z
Here's the album: http://imgur.com/a/ygOok
Also double check to make sure the yellow bits of the blueprint are centered in the toroid magnets (it's not too hard to spot one that's off, even by 1 click) and that the big blue arrow signifying the magnetic force is pointing IN, not out.
If all that is the case, then you constructed the structure of your Tokamak correctly. Now make sure the 8 to 268 Megawatts of power going into the Solenoid isn't coming in at less than 32768 Nm of torque, and is somewhere between 256 and 8192 rad/s.
Now check the Van DeGraff generators that you have placed underneath the toroids in 4 equidistant places under toroid magnets, I stick mine under the toroids that are located at the end of the 4 diagonal Hysteresis Rods from the solenoid multiblock. It doesn't really matter where you put 'em, and the amount of power you need to pump into them is pretty small... A steam engine looks sufficient.
Honestly though? It just looks like you screwed up the toroid placement... move the whole structure up a block and it'll probably work.
I think it's high time I remedied that
So now I'm planning to put together a small suite of mods with Rotarycraft at its core, together with Reactorcraft, Electricraft and Geostrata. And to that end, I'm looking for some suggestions for mods that play well with those four. Meaning, they don't double up on functionality and/or add something really valuable that Rotarycraft itself doesn't offer. Specifically I'm looking for tech mods - there's a time and place for spellcasting, and this is not it! What do you guys usually pair with Rotarycraft?
Also, I have a question regarding the sizeable amount of ores added. Can I customize the spawn parameters? And if not, can I tun them off entirely and use for example CoFH Core to manage their parameters? Reason is, I love playing with Alternate Terrain Generation. That mod utilizes the entire 256 block world height to make terrain, as opposed to vanilla which doesn't generally exceed 100 (and only the bottom 70 are filled with any regularity). And though ATG populates the upper reaches with a little bit of iron and coal, that is still a whole lot of empty stone that's just begging for ore to spawn in. Therefore I usually customize the spawn ranges of ores so that they are spread out over the entire height range, requiring me to make mines in different places at different heights to get access to all the materials.
When it is ready, ChromatiCraft will be designed to specifically not conflict/overlap with RotaryCraft and other tech mods, in order to avoid the common problem that magic mods have of being made obsolete by cheaper equivalents in tech mods. It already has some features, the next release will have a good portion of the crafting system, and it will expand from there.
CoFH is capable of modifying the ore spawns, but I am not sure I recommend it, as it is very easy to screw up and make some ore too common/too rare/too easy/difficult to (auto)mine and shift the balance in either direction.
Gonna remove that again. Also, playing on normal terrain for simplicity for now.
(But hot damn, that sound :O)
Those are some of the most common ores, with fluorite being common enough that I had over 500 people complain to me about it when ReactorCraft was put in Monster.
Little bug report: when clicking the high strength coil in the handbook, I get java error chat spam ingame. Using v25z versions of all your mods.
What is the error?
Just FYI, I get an error in my server log when trying to use the latest (v25z) DragonAPI with the latest Magical Crops for 1.6.4 (3.2.0 beta 23).
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: magicalcrops.mod_mCrops
...
at Reika.DragonAPI.ModList.getBlockClass(ModList.java:137)
at Reika.DragonAPI.ModInteract.MagicCropHandler.<init>(MagicCropHandler.java:201)
at Reika.DragonAPI.ModInteract.MagicCropHandler.<cinit>(MagicCropHandler.java:191)
Happens after DragonAPI loads the handler for magicalcrops. I'm guessing they changed something fairly significant for that to break. It's not game breaking or anything (I don't use any of the magical crops stuff with any of my RC machines), just thought you'd wanna know.
This must be the cause of the other user's error as well. Try "magical_crops_1.6.4_3.2.0_BETA_15a".
Yeah, that one does work. Was just trying to update magical crops for other reasons.
