Quick question, what is the easiest way to heat a friction heater 1350C?
In my opinion, the easiest way is to use two industrial coils outputting at max setting (1024 rad/s and 1024 Nm). This is a purely Rotarycraft solution (it doesn't depend on RF like the Magnetostatic solution).
I cannot reproduce the problem; try uninstalling other mods.
I've tried uninstalling all mods that aren't yours, and the problem remains. I also tried creating a completely new instance using v25z of Rotarycraft and Electricraft as my only two mods. The recipe still wouldn't work. Now, just to be certain that I'm doing things correctly, I am putting this recipe into the Worktable: HSLA steel ingots on the four corners, silver ingots on the two middle side slots, and in the center top to bottom it's glass-redstone-gold . Is that all correct? I'm not going to stress about this if we can't figure out what's going on. I'll just cheat in superconducting wire and destroy the appropriate ingredients. But I just wanted to triple check that I'm doing stuff right and that for whatever reason it isn't working on my computer.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

That recipe is correct.

Is it just me, or do industrial coils seem very picky about what provides them with redstone signals? Vanilla redstone dust and levers seem fine, but not so much with redstone from some other sources.
If I use a redstone signal provided directly by ender IO conduit, rednet cable or even the redstone output of a redstone lamp, the industrial coil freaks out displays a jerky animation and will not output energy.

(Using 25z)
Redstone lamps do not emit redstone signals, and enderIO has trouble connecting to non-opaque-cube blocks.

One last thought before I let it go, then: is it possible that my use of MultiMC to manage my Minecraft instances could have anything to do with this? I hadn't seriously considered this, since, as far as I knew, all MultiMC did was behind the scenes was put together Java launch commands I could have typed into my terminal myself. When I get the chance later today, I'll make a new instance without MultiMC to check on this.
That is not the problem. You can force a connection but the redstone signal coming to the block seems to be AC. I tested it with your DC electric engine and it gets flipped on and off several times per second. It can be seen by putting a fermenter at its output and see the power bar on the right side of the GUI.
Then the problem probably has something to do with how its redstone transmission is coded.

Well, the update is technically done - the game boots and blocks can be placed, and small mods like VoidMonster are probably 100% functional - but I have decided to at least try to fix some of the glaring errors. Right now, that is the game taking a crap all over my beautiful byte buffers.

Alright... Been playing with the mod for over an hour and a half... And I'm still completely lost on many if not all recipes. (Other than simple ones like the DC motor, those are easy.) Many of the needed items for many recipes are not listed in the book, like a brake disk or the gold coil, etc. I spent 20 minutes alone on trying to figure out the coil. XD Finally figured it out though. Was the... vague-ness intentional? Are we supposed to figure things out on our own? Because the brake disk and other items are giving me a headache. (I've looked at the official(?) wikis, and they seem pretty clueless too. I searched "Rotarycraft brake disk recipe...gold coil recipe" etc. in google, still nothing.)

Do you not have NEI?

Sadly... No. I run linux (go figure) And have failed to find a linux version that works without brutally destroying everything and anything in my minecraft folder. I do have Toomanyitems, which I hate. But it's good for potions and enchanting, so I guess I'm stuck with it UNLESS you have a linux compatible download link for NEI. In which case I will happily be on my way. I'll look more, in the case I find one. (Crep. I should have quoted you to make it easier to see this.)
EDIT: Er. Mah. Gerd. After two years of having my computer I FINALLY manage to get NEI working. Thank's for giving me a nudge into finding the right link for NEI. I like this mod a LOT. I wish you well in your endeavors into modding!

Wow you work quite fast. Looking forward to crash*cough*test

So far known to be not working:
Sounds
Localizations (yay for item.rc.machineplacer.45.name!)
Sync Packets
I have a temporary workaround for the last one to ensure the data is still synchronized, but it is a lot less friendly on the performance than the original system.

Jeez. If you're this close to done updating to 1.7.10, I should probably start testing out the 1.7 edition of my still-in-construction pack. Pretty much all I was waiting on was your stuff and Azanor... and seeing as how your mods are so integral (and Azanor's retrogen is pretty decent) I was waiting around doing nothing.

In other news, I just got my sounds working by chewing through the entire sound engine. : P
now that is what i call a dedicated mod Author. i was out running the tractor threw my neighbors corn fields today when i was thinking about this mod and came to a conclusion: Hydro-static Transmissions, i think this would be a good addition to Rotary craft you already have the canola oil for lubrication maybe set it up like a repeater so you can control the rad/s on a hydraulic motor or something similar im just throwing ideas out there for ya.
keep up the good work Reika cant wait to update and check out the new stuff.
I don't like that red bit.

Curse PremiumI just need to do the registry changes that I was holding off until 1.7 and then these should be ready for preliminary release.
I will of course not be releasing DyeTrees or EnderForest as they are being absorbed by ChromatiCraft, which is not expected to be ready for weeks.
now that is what i call a dedicated mod Author.
