So I just had this crazy two-part idea involving the gas turbine. Part one - perhaps blazes should do more damage to it, as they are made of metal. Well, okay, so maybe I'm not exactly sure on that, but they certainly sound like it. Also, it would probably do, as you must already have something in the code for specific mob = specific damage done for the chickens. Awesome easter egg btw, realistic yet lol. Anyway, part two, which may be a bit more difficult, but might still be worth it - armored players/mobs should certainly do major extra damage if you want to be totally realistic about it. But then again, these are just ideas. Do as you please with your own mod, I'm sure it'll remain fun whatever that may be.

In an unrelated note, is there a method that you suggest for using a texture pack's ingot textures in place of RotaryCraft's/ReactorCraft's/ElectriCraft's ingots? I was hoping to unify all my various kinds of ingots into one look, but the majority of your textures are not in the typical location.

Indeed, they are not. As he has stated before, though I'm not going back to find it, every item uses a custom render, as they are still pulled from spritesheets. Also, why not just use one of the many ways to make them all the same ingots via the ore dictionary? Off the top of my head, I know of several:
MFR Unifier - craft it, place it down, place your preferred ingots/whatever oredict'd things in the 9 middle slots, place/pump the different but oredict'd things in with your method of choice and out comes the product you specifically chose every time.
JABBA barrels - this one is even better - just place whichever ingot you want to change to into the barrel FIRST, then carry or pump all the ingots into it and it automatically unifies them.
A harder way is obviously to macerate/pulverize/whatever the ingots in question with the respective mod of the ones you want, then re-smelt them with any method. However, usually there are better ways in just about any environment, no matter how many or which mods you have/don't have.
Which brings me to my last idea, which usually but does not always work, and is a bit more involved if you want to make it work anyway and/or force a particular type of ingot. Basically, so long as the're oredict'd, ingots SHOULD craft into blocks, no matter how many different types you use in said crafting. However, sometimes there are bugs with this, which is why I found a tedious and slightly hacky but completely working fix. What you can do is find a mod that can disable/add crafting recipes, then disable the crafting recipe for every type of metal blocks other than those for the metals you want. So say you want Thermal Expansion copper every time, but the game likes IC2 copper blocks for some reason. Simply disable the IC2 ones (and any others besides TE, just to be safe), and bam, you'll get TE blocks from the recipe. Then repeat for all metals. Also, if for some reason one ingot or another doesn't work, even if it is in the ore dictionary, you should be able to add a shapeless recipe to allow it in the crafting.
However, talking about this again does remind me of a potential problem for you, Reika. Back when I did this, I disabled the Railcraft steel block recipe and was able to use any type of steel to make the HSLA steel block. You may have already fixed this, but I doubt you would be able to easily fix all of the technical ways in which this could probably still be done. Unless you've hard-coded HSLA of course, but then there's the idea of using other added crafting recipes to get RotaryCraft items, or vice versa, which I'm not sure you've accounted for. Just thought I'd remind you of these possible exploits.

Was this in monster? They overrode some of my recipes (ostensibly to avoid conflicts) and used oreDict.ingotSteel - since they have the option on in RC to register HSLA as ingotSteel - instead of the actual hardcoded item.

This looks very similar to an HTGR-type design running off of refined fuel pellets. In short, it adds little new content.
Also, as mentioned before, that idea hit a severe barrier: the steam mechanics do not allow for more than two types of fluids.

im trying to make a Industrial Coil. (wich is not bedrock version) run continuously without running out of wind. trying to power a grinder permanently. how do i make this happen
You cannot. The industrial coil is not a free infinite power source, but a battery of sorts.
ok thanks. also even tho i cant make the coil run permanently. what do i need to keep it running for a grinder for about... lets say a minute?. i tried wind turbines. but setting it at the minimum to what the grinder needs. t just runs out in seconds

Having some trouble with the silver-iodide cannon in the latest version.
It has power (using a gasoline engine and a bevel gear, power gauge in the cannons UI confirms it's getting full power.) and I've put silver iodide inside (tried adding redstone too, just to check) but the machine refuses to do anything and the WAILA tooltip says 'Empty Inventory' no matter what I do.

Er, or maybe nevermind. It started working shortly after it started raining...it still had 16 silver iodide after the rain started and then suddenly it made a popping sound and used one up and said operational. Does the cooldown period apply to when it's first placed to? I had assumed it only started after it was first used, but the timing here makes it seem like the former.

I currently use Gregtech's inventory unifier, however that leads to HSLA steel being the odd one out (texture-wise) since I don't have the config option enabled that registers it as ingotSteel. Oh well, I can live with one ingot being different.

If you look up the grinder in the RC book, and click on the arrow for additional description when you have the info screen open, it'll give you requirements of the grinder in terms of torque and speed. Note the minimums and enter them into industrial coil. Just follow the book basically. The wiki will also have the info: http://rotarycraft.wikia.com/wiki/Grinder
If it doesn't list either torque or speed, note the power, and plug in listed variable to calculate the missing one according to http://rotarycraft.wikia.com/wiki/Relevant_Physics#Formulas

@Reika: Any reason the cavescanner appears to be disabled? seems it wont render anything if rendermode is 0 and I haven't seen code to set it to 1. Might be missing something but just wondered
The rendermode variable controls whether the AoE follows the player. It is permanently at zero (not following).
Also, the machine works fine for me, and it was working for whoever took the wiki screenshot.

THE STUPID COIL RUNS OUT OF WIND IN A PHEW SECONDS WHEN I SET THE TORQUE TO 128 AND THE POWER TO 32 (thats the minumin the grinder will move on) AND THEN THE COIL RUNS OUT. HOW DO I WIND THE COIL FASTER SO IT LASTS LONGER THAN A PHEW SECONDS.... could you read and understand that?
If you do not understand the fact that since total energy in = total energy out and that power = energy/time, drawing more power than you put in means it lasts for less time than you were charging it, I cannot help you.

Reika i think you really need to re-design how the fusion reactor can be powered. otherwise is impossible to keep it running if your doing legit survival. the only way i can see to keep it going permanently (as a fusion reactor should since it runs of its own power) is to use a infinite coil.
I've built one in legit survival, and it's 100% self-sustaining.

In an unrelated note, is there a method that you suggest for using a texture pack's ingot textures in place of RotaryCraft's/ReactorCraft's/ElectriCraft's ingots? I was hoping to unify all my various kinds of ingots into one look, but the majority of your textures are not in the typical location.
Indeed, they are not. As he has stated before, though I'm not going back to find it, every item uses a custom render, as they are still pulled from spritesheets. Also, why not just use one of the many ways to make them all the same ingots via the ore dictionary? Off the top of my head, I know of several:
MFR Unifier - craft it, place it down, place your preferred ingots/whatever oredict'd things in the 9 middle slots, place/pump the different but oredict'd things in with your method of choice and out comes the product you specifically chose every time.
JABBA barrels - this one is even better - just place whichever ingot you want to change to into the barrel FIRST, then carry or pump all the ingots into it and it automatically unifies them.
A harder way is obviously to macerate/pulverize/whatever the ingots in question with the respective mod of the ones you want, then re-smelt them with any method. However, usually there are better ways in just about any environment, no matter how many or which mods you have/don't have.
Which brings me to my last idea, which usually but does not always work, and is a bit more involved if you want to make it work anyway and/or force a particular type of ingot. Basically, so long as the're oredict'd, ingots SHOULD craft into blocks, no matter how many different types you use in said crafting. However, sometimes there are bugs with this, which is why I found a tedious and slightly hacky but completely working fix. What you can do is find a mod that can disable/add crafting recipes, then disable the crafting recipe for every type of metal blocks other than those for the metals you want. So say you want Thermal Expansion copper every time, but the game likes IC2 copper blocks for some reason. Simply disable the IC2 ones (and any others besides TE, just to be safe), and bam, you'll get TE blocks from the recipe. Then repeat for all metals. Also, if for some reason one ingot or another doesn't work, even if it is in the ore dictionary, you should be able to add a shapeless recipe to allow it in the crafting.
However, talking about this again does remind me of a potential problem for you, Reika. Back when I did this, I disabled the Railcraft steel block recipe and was able to use any type of steel to make the HSLA steel block. You may have already fixed this, but I doubt you would be able to easily fix all of the technical ways in which this could probably still be done. Unless you've hard-coded HSLA of course, but then there's the idea of using other added crafting recipes to get RotaryCraft items, or vice versa, which I'm not sure you've accounted for. Just thought I'd remind you of these possible exploits.
Still, there is one thing that I think you should add in terms of crafting recipes - since you add ammonium nitrate, and sugar ANFO is a thing, why not add a recipe for TNT using said items?
Language differences tend not to translate into rudeness on this thread. Have a look at the posts by Bankiri and Tsyklop, who speak Japanese and Russian respectively. Incomprehensible at times, yes, but never rude nor in blatant disregard of the rules. Indeed, I am doubtful they could ever get anywhere with RC - whose book is still only available in English, and for which tutorials are rare in any language - without enough understanding of English such that they could also understand "put crashlogs in a spoiler".
My recipes are hardcoded to use my steel, so this is a bad idea.
Was this in monster? They overrode some of my recipes (ostensibly to avoid conflicts) and used oreDict.ingotSteel - since they have the option on in RC to register HSLA as ingotSteel - instead of the actual hardcoded item.

Possible use of helium provided is the upshot. Not my specialty so I can't determine if there's any plausible benefit to using it instead of water or ammonia.
This looks very similar to an HTGR-type design running off of refined fuel pellets. In short, it adds little new content.

It has power (using a gasoline engine and a bevel gear, power gauge in the cannons UI confirms it's getting full power.) and I've put silver iodide inside (tried adding redstone too, just to check) but the machine refuses to do anything and the WAILA tooltip says 'Empty Inventory' no matter what I do.

Er, or maybe nevermind. It started working shortly after it started raining...it still had 16 silver iodide after the rain started and then suddenly it made a popping sound and used one up and said operational. Does the cooldown period apply to when it's first placed to? I had assumed it only started after it was first used, but the timing here makes it seem like the former.
Either way its working now.
I currently use Gregtech's inventory unifier, however that leads to HSLA steel being the odd one out (texture-wise) since I don't have the config option enabled that registers it as ingotSteel. Oh well, I can live with one ingot being different.
If you look up the grinder in the RC book, and click on the arrow for additional description when you have the info screen open, it'll give you requirements of the grinder in terms of torque and speed. Note the minimums and enter them into industrial coil. Just follow the book basically. The wiki will also have the info:

The rendermode variable controls whether the AoE follows the player. It is permanently at zero (not following).
Also, the machine works fine for me, and it was working for whoever took the wiki screenshot.
If you do not understand the fact that since total energy in = total energy out and that power = energy/time, drawing more power than you put in means it lasts for less time than you were charging it, I cannot help you.
