is there any way to use a liquid or gas to transfer heat from a normal fuel core to a water boiler, im trying to make a design alike a power plant you would see irl, and how do you start said fission, the closest i've gotten to turning on a reactor is 1 of the uranium fuel being used 1% but nothing else ever happened it was even surrounded in neutron deflectors, but i was using only 1 fuel core, do i need more than that? i assumed that was enough for only 2-4 boilers cause i'm going for just a small design

The smallest "reliable and useful" reactor I've made is 7 cores, surrounded by boilers, surrounded by reflectors.
1 core won't generate enough reactions to generate enough heat to get a boiler to 100.
With three cores in a line, and a boiler at each end, surrounded by reflectors, you could probably generate steam.
Edit: Confirmed, but not enough to sustain a small turbine.
im going more for realism, not reliability, would it be possible to create a pressurized water reactor in this mod?
Don't think so. I believe Reika stuck with the boiling water reactors because ultimately a PWR wasn't functionally much different from a gameplay perspective.
Test world consists of 6 turbines, 6 grates, one 12-core reactor. Dozens of condensers. One pressurizer.
Bunch of electricraft wiring, (RoC->ElC) generators, an Aurora battery (currently input-only)
Also: several liquid transfer nodes and a bunch of transfer pipe.
Reactor is currently "boiling off" some water; I've disconnected the water supply. Hoping to switch it to ammonia if I can somehow completely bleed off the steam lines.
Cannot provide any up to date screenshots unfortunately as the world won't load.
No idea what caused this since I was away and came back to this, but the temperature was rapidly dropping and would've probably melted stuff soon had I not broken it after I took the picture.
I had the same error. The cause of it are your turbines, they suddenly start going crazy and it seems they can't decide which is the smallest and which is the largest part of the turbine. You have to remove them with mcedit and rebuild the turbine.
Afaik Reika doesn't know how to fix it.

must be related to having multiple turbines, maybe in close proximity. i hadnt run into the issue till I built an array of them.

I've found out through survival play that Magenta Pendants don't heal you. It gives you Regeneration I (or III) and everything, it just doesn't heal you any. I'm guessing it's because the timer is held at zero, but for all I know this is intentional. Then a similar effect applies to both the Purple Pendants, where they don't give exp as long as you hold them, but I'm fairly certain that this one is intended, and for good reason.
On a side note, and a slightly less important one, the Extractor cannot process Ruby, Sapphire, or Peridot ore from Project Red for some reason. It does fine with the nether equivalent of these from PowerCrystals' Nether Ores, but simply wont do anything if given the regular.

BTW if you have extra utilities, you can get away with a single condenser per turbine, using a stack of each upgrades(probably less) Using the fluid transfer nodes. Also the flickering is *usually* if you arent condensing the steam at all or not voiding/recirculating it away from the condenser fast enough. Hope that makes sense.
Yep; upgraded fluid transfer notes work fantastic. But the blocks don't always float straight up, so I get best cpu/fps performance by ensuring everything condenses as quickly as possible.
The Meteor mod, could you add a rarity config? for each kind? and allow manual ore input in the config?
I love the mod and like that i can get every kind of ore from it, but i got nether diamond ore and mimicry ore in the same shower all to commonly.
It also would be cool if you could define your own meteors and the rarity of them and not just have the three types.
Take your time, i know you just went on a blitz updating like everything. I don't really want to see you even working to put this in until you update to 1.7.9

Further info: seems to happen when there's a ton of block updates. Each time there was a crash, it was when I was restructuring things and condensers got ignored or overloaded, causing tons of steam blocks to go flying.

I just found a way to un-damage gearboxes for free. Accidentally popped down a diamond gearbox without lube in it and got a bit of damage. Took it over the workbench then disassembled it with a redstone signal and reassembled. Back to 0% damage without using any resources to repair.

Just completed another version of my 12-core reactor
For some odd reason, I'm getting tons of stray neutrons above my reactor. Anyone have a clue what caues them to appear up there? I thought they only flew horizontally.
I thought they were a graphical glitch at first, but they're hitting and irradiating me.

This also works for me. Additionally, I've found that occasionally items get stuck in the right-hand side of the worktable, in that I can use one mount to create multiple gearboxes/shaft units. It has happened to other items, but it's pretty infrequent.
Also, I placed the tile accelerator next to an extractor, just to see what would happen, and, wow, it certainly accelerated it, but it did not increase its power consumption. This seems like a major oversight. I haven't yet tested the tile accelerator next to other RotaryCraft machines to see their response. I'll go do that now.
Edit: Same thing happens with the grinder. Also, placing it next to a charging battery accelerates the rate at which it charges :/

must be related to having multiple turbines, maybe in close proximity. i hadnt run into the issue till I built an array of them.
On a side note, and a slightly less important one, the Extractor cannot process Ruby, Sapphire, or Peridot ore from Project Red for some reason. It does fine with the nether equivalent of these from PowerCrystals' Nether Ores, but simply wont do anything if given the regular.

Yep; upgraded fluid transfer notes work fantastic. But the blocks don't always float straight up, so I get best cpu/fps performance by ensuring everything condenses as quickly as possible.
The Meteor mod, could you add a rarity config? for each kind? and allow manual ore input in the config?
I love the mod and like that i can get every kind of ore from it, but i got nether diamond ore and mimicry ore in the same shower all to commonly.
It also would be cool if you could define your own meteors and the rarity of them and not just have the three types.
Take your time, i know you just went on a blitz updating like everything. I don't really want to see you even working to put this in until you update to 1.7.9
Further info: seems to happen when there's a ton of block updates. Each time there was a crash, it was when I was restructuring things and condensers got ignored or overloaded, causing tons of steam blocks to go flying.
A ore weighting option is a nice idea.

This also works for me. Additionally, I've found that occasionally items get stuck in the right-hand side of the worktable, in that I can use one mount to create multiple gearboxes/shaft units. It has happened to other items, but it's pretty infrequent.
Also, I placed the tile accelerator next to an extractor, just to see what would happen, and, wow, it certainly accelerated it, but it did not increase its power consumption. This seems like a major oversight. I haven't yet tested the tile accelerator next to other RotaryCraft machines to see their response. I'll go do that now.
Edit: Same thing happens with the grinder. Also, placing it next to a charging battery accelerates the rate at which it charges :/
