Well im on the latest horizons update, im sorry if im being iggnorant but i had assumed that they would have updated it far enough for this, how do i check what version horizons is using of rotary/reactorcraft.
Unfortunately Horizons only updates every few weeks at best.
Reika releases updates way faster than that.
If you "edit mod pack" in your FTB launcher, you can scroll down and see which Rotary/ReactorCraft mods are being used. The version is in the name.
You can also see the mod list from the game menu if you like, I believe the version is there as well.

Regarding the rotated generator, make sure you are placing the "turbine generator" block at the end of the shaft aiming directly down the shaft else you will get strange completion renders. As for the rest, I have the same issue, i can't complete the high-pressure turbine multiblocks.
If a given stage doesn't complete, stand on the top-center block of that stage. "Drill" down until you reach the turbine shaft piece. Don't destroy that.
Replace the blocks you just drilled.
That stage and all previous stages should render.
Note that I could NOT fix stage 3 if there was ANY block where stage 4 should go. So if stage 3 breaks and stage 4 is started, I always completely removed stage 4. YMMV.
thanks.
it decided to work when I started up a new world.
I still think its a little finicky.
I had to totally remove the last stage when putting in the last block for a turbine generator.
which is why I would like the build order re-worked, maybe having the "turbine generator" block be the last one and not the one piece that requires you to either build the turbine itself second, or tear apart an already assembled one.
admittedly, its not much of an issue with the small turbines, but the HP ones are a bit of a pain.
that said, one HP is keeping up fine with my 8 core pebblebed for ~4.2GW and 760K RF
previously I had 4 standards for 3.6GW and a lot of excess steam in the lines.
speaking of which, could we have a steam valve block, and/or a flow meter to measure generation rates and buildup?
@ above: you can copy-paste from the Monster folder if you have that pack set up, as they updated to 23c with version 1.1.2
Okay - some progress with the turbine, I had a sudden thought about a file I'd seen in my mystcraft age's folder "multipart.dat" and decided to try building the turbine in a completely different world, another mystcraft age... guess what?.. it works there.. Now, how can I safely reset this multipart.dat file without destroying all multiblocks in that age? (Fusion reactor, injectors etc etc etc)
My guess for the cause of this issue is that I had built the turbine's in this age using 23b, which was essentially a bugged multiblock?
Or is that not the file I should be looking to edit/fix?
Edit: Futher testing, I got it to randomly form stage 1 (injector stage and housing only stage) in another mystcraft dimension. Tried it again for proofing, turbine wouldn't form, tried again, it did form lol. I reset the aformentioned file, reformed all multiblocks on that particular world and still no joy, I cant get it to form stage 1 even
Multipart.dat is for Forge multipart. It has no effect on ReactorCraft. Delete it, and you likely lose all microblocks and PR2 wires.

Having trouble automating the fuel. Wondering if anyone knows a solution. The uranium ingots I am using aren't rotarycrafts. I can drag and drop them into the grinders, but can't shift click them into there in the GUI. Actually trying to automate it, but nothing (AE, SFM, hoppers, TE, ... ) seem to be able to get the ingots into the grinder. Drag-drop seems only solution I have found. Any suggestions?
Ic2 machines very well could be hardcoded idk but TE machines work great with accels assuming you can great a massive amount of power to keep in reserve and flowing at high speeds lol for the time being im not building anything reactorcraft or rotarycraft until you get some more bug fixes out haha don't want anything going haywire on me. I was going to say something else but I seem to have forgotten what it was.....hmm maybe ill remember later
Rotarycraft doesn't seem to work with ComputerCraft 1.63 (the latest version, for Minecraft 1.6.4 - the version number is a coincidence). Things work as normal with ComputerCraft 1.58.
With ComputerCraft 1.58 I can wrap RotaryCraft blocks as a peripheral, as expected:
lua> p = peripheral.wrap('left')
lua> p
table: 119b6bbf
When I change to ComputerCraft 1.63, it doesn't see RotaryCraft blocks as peripherals anymore:
lua> p = peripheral.wrap('left')
lua> p
nil
As far as I know, nothing works with CC 1.63. I personally know that MFR rednet does not.
I'm working my way through trying to understand the Pebble Bed Reactor, and I have a question.
Is it intended that the CO2 exchange system be a necessary part of the Pebble Reactor? The reason I ask is that I have managed to create a Pebble Reactor that utilizes only the Pebble Bed Reactor Cores and Steam Boilers (which feed into Steam Grates to power Turbines), and completely eliminated the need for the CO2. I'm just wondering if something like this is expected and allowed, or if I've just found a way to game the system.

My incredibly crappy YouTube channel. Come mock me. You know you want to.
I would strongly prefer that only the RC blast furnace make HSLA; also, my machines will only use HSLA.
Given the similarities between the blast furnace and the steelworks high-oven -- high temperatures, controlled impurities -- is there a reason not to consider them ore-dict equivalents?

I will never make my recipes use the ore dictionary, because even if steelworks steel is equivalent, there is nothing to guarantee everything else registered to that tag will be, and I am not going to allow the possibility of using wildly inappropriate items that just happen to be registered under the same ore dictionary name.

Is anybody else experiencing problems with shaft junctions in merge mode? (Playing the latest Monster 1.1.2) I'm seeing odd behavior;
1. If only one input is active it doesn't move at all; no sparks, no output, nothing.
2. If two inputs are connected at equal speed, only one power source goes to the output. (Since they're two turbines running at equivalent MW rates, I can't tell which is getting sent through.)
3. Connect sources of different speed/torque; lower source gets ignored, no sparks or anything. (Had higher speed/torque on bend)
Am I missing anything or is something wrong?
This was fixed in v16, then changed in v22. Get a steam boiler to 100C or more in a HTGR, and it will explode.
Tested in V23c. Your statement above appears to only be true if the Steam Boiler is next to the Pebble Bed Reactor Core. However, a Steam Boiler next to an empty Steam Boiler which is next to the PBRC will not explode. The empty Steam boiler still transmits heat.
Using 7 PBRC's and 4 Steam Boilers in the following configuration (as seen from overhead):
PPPSS
PPPP
PPPSS
The two steam boilers next to the PBRC's are left empty of fluid. The two steam boilers on the end are filled with water or ammonia (either will work as the steam boilers on the end do not exceed around 300C). Those two steam boilers can then be used to provide steam to four steam grates and power four turbines.
EDIT: Tested in V23d, and it still works. I can make a video explaining what I'm doing if my explanation isn't adequate.
Additionally, RotaryCraft flakes, other than Iron and Gold Flakes are still registered incorrectly. Silver Flakes are registered as dustingotSilver, Copper Flakes are registered as dustingotCopper, etc.
From what I can tell, dragonAPI creates the ModOreList. One field is 'product', which lists things such as ingotSilver, ingotCopper, etc. In RotaryCraft, the RotaryRegistration.class, lines 160 and 162, pulls the product label and then appends "dust" to the front of it, creating things such as dustingotSilver and dustingotCopper.
Please note that I'm not a programmer, so I'm going off of your open souce code and wild conjecture, so I don't mean any disrespect if I'm misreading or misunderstanding the code.

That's probably a good idea.
Does that mean it won't heat an empty boiler? That would be my first idea for a solution.
The other would be to treat boilers as multiblock structures. It appears that they are already considered connected if they are stacked vertically. If they are considered connected, and share their liquid internals, when they are touching horizontally, that would also solve the problem and create a nice explosion at the right temperature.
I added this to my original post, but I'll restate it here in case it got overlooked:

I meant when I wasn't doing the things from those mods I was talking about the reactors/turbines lol I am using extractors with the accels though and I love them.....haha oh btw they work with BC quarrys too but it seems that they can't find flourite for some reason they skip them and move to all the other blocks it doesn't make a column where the flourite is just seems like for some reason the flourite blocks are invisible
the mod is great but for some reason when i play the game after a few minutes it crashed, first time there was no error log but now i got one the second time
