That is synonymous with absorption. And it works.
Average ground level.
Oh goodie. Hoped it would.
Btw, since I'm a narb at thinking for myself and usually stick to ftb packs, I thought I would ask someone who uses their own mix of mods. Have you tried/are you thinking about trying ae2 and if you do you should totes make some vids about your experience.
I hate how the new AE sounds.
Oh look, riverteiglin is whining about Reika's mods combined with atg again.
So do you compute that on the fly from actual ground level? Or just the average based on vanilla worldgen? I don't care and don't want you to change it, I just want to know how that will affect my worlds that have an average surface height of 128m
New AE?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
For the Now:
Literally the in-game noises it makes or are you saying the new ae sounds bad as in you think it'll suck
But loosely, assuming a moderate temperature biome (forest?), an ideal position for a Fermenter would be somewhere between 40-60, while a colder one would be 20-30?
Also, if for example you had 256+ deep terrain, does that imply that near bedrock would be about 283 degrees? If so... Does this mean I can finally have fireless steam engines? O:
It is a vanilla function.
The latter; none of the benefits of AE will exist.
Guy was surprised when his Pulse Jet Furnace blew up at max temp. He assumed temperature altered operation speeds, since most mods that include a temperature bar use this logic, so hotter = faster. We had a bit of a banter back and forth, but this makes sense, doesn't it? You just say "keeping it cooled with water is a necessity", but never really mention that "it's gonna explode if you don't."
I'd upgrade to version 18b as its out now and a lot of fixes have been made. What your doing is correct, you do need to pump water in the bottom and liquid pips, fluid ducts and buildcraft waterproof will connect and work. The steam boilers are probably getting water just aren't reporting it. Definitely update, it will save you a lot of hassle particularly with reactors.
ya it was just a visual bug i tested it in a test world and it works, thanks for the reply .... secondary problem: steam doesnt seem to travel far and i didnt have my reactor to close to my house ( something about nuclear fuel rods and living space not going together
No, RF conversions are deliberately throttled.
Is this from that reddit threat "PSA: ReactorCraft Pulse Jet Explodes at 1000C"? I already read and replied to that.
Either way, the same answer applies: Real pulse jets are on the edge of explosion or implosion under normal operation. Heat it to the point that the metal becomes soft, and, well, you are expected to know what happens then.
EDIT:
I found the thread. He is one of those "have one thing go wrong and uninstall the mod and never look at it again" type of people, who can never be reasoned with.
By the way, I thank you for replying to the reddit threads before I am aware of them.
is there a limit to how far steam pipes will transfer steam? since tesseracts wont connect, the steam block seems to be solid so it cant be tanked is there any way to transfer the power over 70-150 blocks ?
I tried to update from 1.6 v15b to 1.6 v19b and update ftb client from 1.36 to 1.37 and I got crashes from my modified version of FTBs monster mod pack that caused codechickencore powercrystals core, and universal electricity to all crash but my concern is that no matter how many I disabled another came up until I got this please help
Ps I'm an idiot that doesn't know how to use spoilers (always forget the command)

This isn't the thread for this, really, then. But I'm using FTB launcher 1.3.7 just fine with several of the packs. Try going in and manually clearing out your MC mods and configs folder, let it get a good fresh start.
That... That sounds so amazing! I have NOT had good luck with volcanos so far... They tend to be so small as to not even have lava in them. Are you using the default atg configs?
I can put the steam in drums, from extra utils. Something to try, at least.
EDIT: wait, sorry, it's co2 and hot co2 that I have in drums. Idk if steam will work or not.
For the Now:
What am I doing wrong?

Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
