Right, because giving 2x like every other processor (or even 1x), when it is easily twice the cost and difficulty, is a good balancing strategy. Cannot cross those ever-shifting subjective invisible lines, after all.

to be fair, in this case, Reika, fluix dust is closer to a metal powder, like copper dust, than it is blaze powder. Just as you would say it is a bad idea to multiply copper dust gotten from ingots it is a similarly bad idea to multiply fluix dust, so forgive the less eloquent their attempt to say that multiplying fluix is bad.
So I didn't want to post this in the issue tracker since I highly doubt its any of your mods, but in my heavily modded environnment alot of the chomaticraft, reactocracft and rotarycraft blocks and items have missing textures or glitched textures
So just wondering what might cause this, is it already known, maybe another mods fault? Im running forge 1492(it also happened on forge 1448) i do have fastcraft, but I do not have optifine or shaders so it isn;t those two, anywho thanks for any help I may recieve
UPDATE: The textures missing were because the config files weren't being regenerated so a quick regen of them and everything works fine

Yes, and I understand that. AnrDaemon was saying that multiplying things like bonemeal was "broken"(ly overpowered), because no other mod does that.

I noticed something whilst playing Rotarycraft tonight. Sometimes the Back of the furnaces the friction heater is behind do not go through their heat up texture change. For a while it was working on one of my saves and not the other one. Now it consistently doesn't show the heat up texture change. Doesn't affect gameplay in any way just strange behavior. Also the level if heat isn't the issue as even with the ovens hitting 1800c it still doesn't happen.
I am not asking for the ideal, but merely reasonable. Also, to many people, "ideal" would indeed mean higher temperatures, as intuition, ignoring things like efficiency, would indicate it would be more effective. And things like the leidenfrost effect, not used or simulated in RC, is not what I am trying to get at. This is a steam engine question, based directly on all those people who use lava to drive it then post a bug report when it explodes. The point is, lava is so hot that yes, the water boils, but then the vapor expands enormously due to the heat. Using the kettle example above, I would not be particularly surprised if that kettle, if filled with water and then dumped into lava (and assuming it did not melt), exploded from the overpressure.
So, this is going back several days (I'm catching up with my reading ), but this stood out and I just had to comment. Here's an interesting tidbit...
Better than the kettle example, I give you the historical record:
During the first and second world wars, when most of the world's naval shipping was still powered by large steam boiler rooms, U-boat captains (that's submarines to people who don't follow history) would specifically target (and hope for) a direct torpedo hit on the targeted vessel's boiler room. The reason being that it could take several direct torpedo hits to other parts of the ship to ensure enough damage that it sunk before repair crews could stop the water from rushing in.
The boiler room, however, was another matter. The monstrous super-heated coal-fed furnaces that boiled the water were massive, with several of them lined up in rows to power the ship. A torpedo strike on the boiler room meant that as soon as the frigid sea water flooded the room and made contact with the boilers, not only would they generate a ton of steam that way, but their shell would deform and crack, exposing the hot fuel within, which would instantly flash-boil yet more water, resulting in a boiler explosion, exposing even more hot fuel to sea water. The resultant expansion of massive volumes of steam within the rigidly reinforced and confined spaces of a ship's hull meant a massive and catastrophic over-pressure explosion that would rip the ship apart from the inside out, often blasting out the bottom of the hull (most boiler rooms were built below sea level, inline with the drive shaft), instantly neutralizing the ships buoyancy, sending it crashing to the depths below.
A picture of the SS Ulyses as she was struck by a torpedo launched by U-160 Captain-Lieutenant Georg Lassen. The torpedo explosion can be seen in the plume in the foreground on the left with the boiler room secondary blasting out the opposite side of the ship on the right, background.
So, yeah, basically your kettle example only on a much larger scale!
Moral of the story: You can't just stick a bunch of water on top of a super-heated mass and expect machinery that wasn't engineered to handle the load to fair very well!

Hey Reika! I have installed your DragonAPI and ProjectE in conjunction with about 220 other mods, and the modpack crashes when trying to load. I took a gander at the crash report, and saw two main mods mentioned, ProjectE and your good ol' DragonAPI. It mentioned something about an EE helper part of DragonAPI, but of course you will be more familiar with what it all means. If you or anyone on this forum could offer assistance, that would be great. I want ProjectE for mostly nostalgia, however your mods are more important to me so it is ProjectE in my trash can.
TL;DR: crash, pls help, anything appreciated.

A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hydros are not part of the main progression. They're for people who want (reasonably) passive mid-tier power generation. And expensive (to make and operate) because, before the nerfs, it was way too easy to sidestep huge parts of the techtree by abusing Hydros.
I don't know if anyone actually calculated exactly how much power you'd need to divert for farming/grinding canola to run Hydros constantly though. Just that it can be self sufficient and still produce excess power and excess lubricant.
I didn't make an exact calculation, but I found this (difficulty settting is the default 2):
Running two grinders and two centrifuges at 64KW each with optimal torque for the grinder and the grinders' speed * 16 for the centrifuges is just not enough to supply four chained hydrokinetic engines with lubricant. It may be just enough without having to supply the shaft power bus I use to distribute the power, but I haven't tried to replace that.
Running the same machines at 128 KW each, doubling speed input, produces a surplus of lubricant.
Which means that you can easily supply a hydrokinetic power plant with enough lubricant using 25% of its generated power. The balance shifts if you want to use fewer grinders and centrifuges at higher power, since the logarithmic relation between speed input and operating speed means that it's usually more power-efficient to run more machines.
I'm getting conflicting information about chaining engines with shaft junctions and limitations about how many engines can be chained and/or load limits on the shaft junctions. The handbook has nothing. What's the current state of things? How many engines can be chained with shaft junctions, and what are the load limits, if any. I know that my setups work with four, but can I chain 8 or 16?
I have some issues with the lumen lamps and their controller. When I choose a new channel for the lamps and the controller, the lamps can be switched on by e.g. a redstone signal. But they cannot switched off again. When I choose a new channel, the lamp is off and can be switched on but not off again.
Am I doing something wrong here or is another mod interfering?
I also tried the toggle button in the controller GUI but that can switch on the lamp and not off again.
It seems that every channel has its status saved in the chunks within range and when I place the controller and the lamps far enough away the channel 0 is off an can be switched on but not off again.
I could switch off the lamps once but I am not able to reproduce this. I tried to use the lamps to light up a cursed earth room below a Bloodmagic altar with active Well of Suffering.

The controller actually saves all the data (and of course unloaded chunks will not be affected). Is this related?

I don't think so. I just set up a test world with just your mods (DragonAPI V7f, ChromatiCraft V7e, ElectriCraft V7e, GeoStrata V7e and RotaryCraft V7f). I then put down a lumen lamp and a controller in creative mode. The lamp is initially off and goes on when I press the toggle button on the controller. But it stays on if I press toggle again.
Even with ChromatiCraft and DragonAPI alone, I can reproduce this behavior. I'm using the Windows client on Windows 10 if that matters. This one uses Java 1.8.0_25. Maybe I should try Java 7...

Stencil buffer state: Function set: ARB, pool: forge, bits: 8
Fixed in v8.
They are about 2x less common since the video was made.
I feel like I should only be looking at that through a pinhole camera
Prepare for unforeseen consequences...
Half of it, particularly the "eruption/whiteout" effects, are based off of a Coronal Mass Ejection.
I will test these.
