Apologies for my impatience. Any idea why PlayerHandler$PlayerTracker would return a null pointer exception? Even that info might put me on track to solve it on my own.
This may or may not work (haven't tested it myself) but isn't that sort of avoiding a fix? I'm not trying to insult you or put you down(as I know anyone who does is put on your idiots page), I'm just saying. It just doesn't seem like a thing that would work with immersion and such, having to relog whenever you break a lamp. Understand what I'm getting at?

Hmm. Have you tried updating java? 1.6 is quite old.
I have just finished completely removing java 6 from my system and installing java 8, however, when I try to launch minecraft, I now get this error: "To open minecraft you must install the legacy java 6 runtime"
Completely unrelated to my issues, however, this means I cannot use later versions of java for minecraft.
EDIT: Tried using the linux/other launcher (not bundled) instead of the bundles mac launcher (bundled as a .app) and this allowed me to run minecraft with java 8. And now everything works! *dances*
How does one get the blast furnace to the correct temp for spring steel ingots? All I keep doing is blowing up my heater lol Anyone have any tips or links to a how to on spring steel?
use a friction heater 1MW of power will def do the trick prob only need a few hundred kW cant remember the amount needed, also matching speed and torque for best results. (cant confirm last part but reliable ppl say its true)

Not that I can think of.

Did you catch my post about why the turbine generator is putting out 270,400 times more RF/t than intended?
Already fixed.

I am having an odd issue with ReactorCraft v4c where the Reactor CPU will not attach to an OpenComputers server. The manifestation of the error is odd in that connecting the CPU causes the server to think there are over a hundred components connected to it with just the CPU connection. Any idea why that might be happening?

There was compatibility issue with OpenComputers in previous version and i don't think its fixed. If my memory serves me well it was on OpenComputer side.

It is detecting the entire reactor.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't think I could use a friction heater That makes life so much easier. I'll try it tonight!
Edit: Tried it out with the setup I had for making tungsten ingot, just replaced the furnace with the blast furnace. Worked great!
Hey Reika. Now, I'm not sure if this is entirely realistic, but for the ferromagnetic ingot, could there also be alternate recipes for it that use nickel or cobalt since they are also ferromagnetic IRL.

2. I get particle effects when using the fertilizer, but besides that, it seems to have absolutely no effect on growth rate. I have tested this with canola and vanilla crops + bone meal and compost, and also with vanilla + only dragonapi + rotarycraft.
3. My impression was different when I read the handbook, but maybe this is intended: A pump + dc electric engine seems to be enough for a sprinkler or ground sprinkler to have a range (watering and increased growth rate) of 8 blocks, and I couldn't verify any range changes by increasing the power.
4. I've tried a couple of things (replanting, multiple trees around, single tree), but my woodcutter never drops any (oak) saplings in the chest below it. It is enchanted with infinity, fortune III and efficiency V
5. This has been mentioned before in this thread: you should be able to craft extra utilities magical wood with enchanted items, but the recipe doesn't work in the pack I am using. What was not mentioned before: When using only enchanted books (versus items), the recipe does work, but you only get one piece of magic wood instead of many, depending on the level of the enchantsments.
I then made a test with hermitcraft modsauce (the pack I was playing before, because it seemed easier to add rotarycraft to this pack than to remove it from the other pack) and added only dragonapi (don't know if this makes any sense): in my existing world, the recipes worked as expected. Then I installed also rotarycraft and could observe mentioned errors. I don't know if this is caused by exu or by rotarycraft at the end, but I know that there is no such issue with exu and the other 200+ mods that were used.
I do not see how I could be related to #5, but #3 is not a bug.
As for #2, what speed were you supplying?
As for #4, I have seen this too, with Sakura wood as well.

Looking at the code, it looks like the reason this is still an issue is that the ReikaWorldHelper.softBlocks() version being used is the one that simply takes a block as a parameter, while the other version would respond correctly. It appears that the world and coordinates are being used in every call to that function to get the block, so if it was using softBlocks(world,x,y,z) instead of softBlocks(world.getBlock(x,y,z)), the Railcraft hidden block would no longer be an issue.
If that would cause unintentional effects from the other conditions for a softBlock, then I would propose instead adding a check to the version that just takes a Block to do "if (id.getMaterial() == Material.air) { return true; }"

Can you double check that there are no other mods, and post the new crash log?
I have forge 1291, and just opened my book fine. So, unless something I have is fixing it somehow, it should work.
Boom. http://pastebin.com/tN9XLhav
No other mods at all, just DragonAPI and rotarycraft.

I've reported same problem earlier. V4c. Reloading is not helping. Light still remains.
