I'm having a very odd crash, and don't have a clue what it means. It happens whenever I press "u" over an item to show its usage in NEI; the game freezes, then crashes several seconds later with this error. I tried with and without Optifine; no difference. I also tried disabling the "crafting table can make machines" config setting, but that didn't help either. Anybody know what's up here?
Oh, and I'm using v25z of Reika's mods. Do I need to provide the full "client-0.log" file? pastebin won't let me upload the file; it's over 2 MB, but let me know if you want it, and how to get it here.

You should search this thread before reporting problems. I had a similar problem to yours. You are using MFR + Magical Crops. The current version of MFR and Magical Crop will not play nice with RotaryCraft. The only solution I've come up with is to downgrade Magical Crops to 1.6.4_3.2.0_BETA_15a with a side benefit that Fans will now automate the crops. The usage function will work normally on my test setup.
Reika has also fixed this particular problem for the next release.

I will search further next time. I only went back a few pages, so sorry.
But isn't 25z the last release for 1.6.4? Is Reika going to do a ninjupdate?
I'm eagerly awaiting and looking into Chromaticraft-- wouldn't have learned about it if it weren't for r/FTB. I honestly look forward to it. If there's any way I can help at all, be it testing, typechecking, idea-throwing, or squinting really hard to make sure there aren't stray pixels on anything, do tell. I thought there was an alpha somewhere, and there may be, but I think it's closed, so I won't go nosing around-- too much.
Keep up the good work! While Rotarycraft wasn't my cup of tea it was -definitely- well made, and Chromaticraft's preview blew me away.
Quote from BoredomKils»Don't know if this has been brought up yet, but in 25z, when trying to connect an engine to an AE system (controller or power relay) the game crashes with this error:
Taking the assumption that there will be no further updates (as is explicitly stated), would there be a way to get around this? Or would this be regarded as an AE issue, and should be treated as such?
The AE support is out of date.

Now will it lag like a Openblocks tanks which are also able to be placed in custom shapes?
[quote]Quote from TomeWyrm»
Please PLEASE don't make them like OpenBlocks tanks where they're basically BC pipes on crack and any liquid change updates every other tank every tick for "rebalancing" and lags the everything out to hell... I had a floor made of OpenBlocks tanks before I knew what kind of game-crippling lag they could create... I pumped lava into it for lighting and... gods that was bad.
It's one of the reasons so many tanks are "must be regular rectangular prism". Easier to render, easier to code, and doesn't kill Minecraft if you've got evena complex system of sources and drains.
No. These are coded completely differently. They will never lag.

I'm glad you're able to reproduce the lag issue. Is the code for Forge Event Bus something under your control or Forge people? Unbeknownst to me, I found that someone else had a related issue and reported on FTB a while ago but did not suggested any build to reproduce the problem.
Their end, but the problem seems to be one of java. My custom event classes are not being registered properly, as they are somehow failing to inherit the zero-arg constructor in Event, causing the reflective instantiation (.newInstance()) for cpw's registries to throw a NoSuchMethodException. Nothing crashes, but it does mean that ElectriCraft wires do not melt, MeteorCraft defence guns do not fire, and other things also fail.
What is perplexing to me is that the code used to work perfectly, and the Forge event types, which also extend Event, do inherit the nullary constructor.
On a separate issue, is there anyway to wrap as peripheral any of the Electricraft blocks, including wires? I'm trying to implement an amp draw or a power metering sensor. Actually, a block that registers the amp draw or power metering would be a fantastic addition to Electricraft. If such a block can be wrapped as a peripheral for CC or OC then it would allow for much control of downstream Electricraft circuits.
I like the idea.
Also, regarding my internet:
My home internet went out at 02:35 Sunday morning, and has been off since then. The ISP refused calls for most of the day. The times they did pick up were to claim that the entirety of the GTA (metropolitan area surrounding Toronto) has lost its internet, a claim I find highly unlikely seeing as I am on the internet right now, and such an outage would affect more than 15 million people, inflict billions of dollars in business losses, and be the largest in the history of the country. Since then, they have refused all calls except one to say to call back the next day.
Because gradle does not work without internet (one more reason to love the new system ), I cannot compile my mods until my internet is restored. As soon as it is, I should be able to release V1, the first official update for 1.7.10. I do have some new features I added during this time, including the turbine flywheel.
Got a strange bug here... MC 1.6.4, Rotarycraft 25z. When trying to plant canola seeds on wet farmland, about 10-15% of the blocks can't be planted on. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it.

Hm, either Railcraft hidden block or light level issues. I have a farm tower on my world and I had to make sure lightning was good otherwise planted plot would start to disappear and eat my seed as well.
There has been a number of graphical optimizations between 1.7.10 and 1.8.0, in an effort to improve fps, and a number of bug fixes on some of these optimizations that were implemented in earlier 1.7 versions but had issues.
Did you try 1.8 to see if you have the same error?

No, I am trying to run my dev environment.

I'd guess an outdated OpenGL implementation combined with missing fallback paths, yes. Possibly Minecraft believes the driver about what it supports. What graphics card is that? Intel?
If you're lucky, and I was right about that guess, it'll work in a modern Linux installation. If you're already using Linux, well... erm, I don't really have enough info to even try debugging this.
This is a 4-year old laptop with integrated Intel HD graphics and 64-bit Windows 7. None of those things is able to change.

Still having that odd bug planting canola from before... also, found something else. To restate: MC 1.6.4, Rotarycraft 25z. The air compressor is not outputting any Buildcraft energy even when there's a machine that needs it. It animates, I can hear its sound, and WAILA shows me the pressure building up, but regardless of if it's adjacent to a Buildcraft machine or feeding into a wooden kinesis pipe, it outputs nothing.
Edit: Further testing shows the pneumatic engine doesn't work either; it doesn't take in MJ from any source. Other BC-compatible engines from other mods all work properly - tested engines from Forestry, Dartcraft, and BC itself.
Reika, DragonAPI from your GitHub has a special dislike for Thaumcraft and Buildcraft, is it me failing to compile or is it me using an alfa version? PS - Problem persists with you all alfa package you've given sometime earlier.

That's your problem. Downgrade to Magical Crops 1.6.4_3.2.0_BETA_15a
I think Reika should probably put that in the FAQ and Known Issues

No, but I would guess that the fixes will be in the 1.7.10 release.
As a result, he isn't able to reply to anything, read anything, or fix any issues.
v1 for 1.7.10 of Reika's mods are delayed until further notice.
Cheers for letting us know, always seems to be a thing when He's close haha, im sure we can all wait, hope its fixed soon

Fluctuating input lag or a different lag? Good news either way.
No. These are coded completely differently. They will never lag.

Your ISP sound like a bunch of assholes that obviously need better technical support
^^Every ISP ever.
