Hi, Just wanted to say Thank you for this great mod! I did have one question. Will you be releasing a update to work with 1.7.2? Thank again
Updating to 1.7.2 wouldn't take to long but keeping two versions of this mod up to date would double my workload and a lot of people including myself run mod packs and servers on 1.6.4 still. Once Thaumcraft updates to 1.7.2 then my server is able to upgrade with a loss of a smaller mod or two, this is when I'll start upgrading this mod to 1.7.2.
By running my own server wit this mod 24/7 I can truly see how it performs on servers too which is excellent for bug testing and so far, this mod has never crashed a server, except one update where I forgot to remove something in a rushed release but that was fixed within the half hour!
But yeah, 1.7.2 is definitely around the corner and the Pinkies are smelling it and they think it's going to be delicious!
You taking suggestions? If so I'd like to put this out there. Rougarou The Rougarou (Roo-Gah-Roo) is a monster in traditional southern U.S.A. folklore. It's said to be an evil spirit or monster that lurks in swamps. It possesses animals like dogs, alligators, and horses, and those animals become aggressive and dangerous. It uses those animals to get close to its victims, then the animal either kills them itself or the Rougarou morphs into a horrible monster and does the job itself. It's said to be the result of evil voodoo witchcraft. So based on that I think a shapeshifting monster that appears in swamps might be in order. The Rougarou will disguise itself as an ordinary passive mob, such as a pig or a sheep. However, it will stalk you and when you let your guard down, it will morph from a harmless sheep into a terrifying monster and attack you. When in animal form it has the same amount of health as the animal it possesses, so the easiest way to deal with it would be to kill it in its animal form. There should be some way of finding Rougarous in disguise, perhaps a discreet marking or something.
That's an interesting idea... Perhaps for a special mob in the future but for now all the upcoming mobs are planned with bosses after and then dragons, also some weapons and armor, so there is much to do lol, but new ideas are always welcome!
So Lycanite, what mobs do you think you want to make soon?
I was thinking about working on the Tarantula next, it's a fairly simple Jungle Mob to do, no new major AI to add or anything and the web trail it will leave behind will copy a lot of code from the Frostweb of the Frostweavers.
After that, hmm, maybe the first free swimming water mob, now that the spawning issues seem to be finally resolved I can focus on a bigger job, it might turn out very easy too!
Hey Lycanite when i install the mod i cant see any mobs when i change the difficulty like Easy,Normal,Hard but the only mobs i see are only Aspids,Concapedes and Reivers

Hmm that's odd, are you using any mods that alter mob spawning? Aspids and Concapedes are farmable mobs that appear in the Swamp and Jungle regions, Reivers are hostile mobs that spawn in the dark in Arctic regions, but you should see more than just those three.
If you've recently updated from an older version of this mod be sure to delete your config, also make sure you downloaded the mod from the mod website, modpacks or the skydaz installer.

Yeah! Do the Tarantula next! Tarantulas FTW! Do the Centaur after the Tarantula, and after that, the Sklyus!
No, really. After you listened to Darkraptor for a second time and added the Lobber (along with the Lacedon), it's time to take my plan and make a Tarantula! Anyways, I have ideas for it:
The Tarantula should be a hostile mob at night, but neutral at day. They are a bit slower than their vanilla counterparts, however, they could jump great lengths in order to get to their prey, and they could poison their prey as well. When killed, they drop string and carapaces.
As well as this, Lurkers and Eyewigs drop Chitin, and Concapedes drop Carapaces as well.
Also, EXTRA IDEA!!! As well as ranged attacks, Frostweavers, Trolls, and Lobbers should have a melee attack as well. In order to accomplish this, give them a smidge of the Eyewig code so they rush towards you and try to melee you while using ranged attacks. Frostweaver bites should deal slowness, troll fist smashes should be as strong as ettin club smashes, and Lobber fist smashes should deal fire damage as well as throw you up into the air.

Sounds good?
I might give the Troll, Frostweaver and Lobber a basic melee attack but i want to be careful not to make them too tough as ranged mob's should be weak in close combat else they're over-powered.
I think I'm going to do the Tarantula next, I choose which mob to do based on what mood I'm in, if I'm in the right mood, the mob comes out really well, the original Erepede for example was something I did without caring much and thus it turned out a bit off, but the new Erepede I like to think has come out perfectly!
I had planned to do the Lacedon for a while and as I was fixing some issues with the Dweller I decided to start on it, I then got the urge to make the Lobber too and saying as it uses the same water dwelling behaviour as the Dweller and Lacedon (only in lava not water), I decided that it would go nicely alongside the Lacedon. I know Darkraptor love his fire creatures but I didn't do it just because he really wanted it, the Lobber and al my mobs are made for everyone to enjoy!
I think the Centaur might be a while off yet as I think I'm going to get the underwater free-swimming going and add another Saltwater mob and possibly 2 Freshwater mobs next, perhaps even some farmable ones. I'd also like to get Yetis going sometime soon too!

I have always been a monster hunter, and I always will be, even to the very last.

OK. Thank you. And please make the Tarantula this week. If you want to do swimming mobs after the Tarantula, make the Sklyus and the river eels.
Given your latest profile change, it does seem like you might be more into the Tarantula mood. Whatever you make, I am sure it will be awesome! Thanks so much for a terrific mod!
Wait, I just realized why I forgot Cacodemons are the pets of the Nether - in the overworld, they're so slow they're almost useless. :c I never tame them because of that - when they're in the overworld, they seem to sink onto the ground and slowly drag themselves on the grass instead of fly (semi)quickly around. They get lost behind pretty easily, and I have to walk a few steps, wait for it to catch up, walk a few steps, repeat.
Anyway to fix that in the next update? o:

Hmm I could add a forced thing where it is almost like it's on a long leash. At some point I'm going to create an advanced pet system where pets can be summoned and dismissed and will respawn on death. You will then be able to summon a mount at will and ride it then dismiss it in pace of a different pet for fighting instead. Some pets will be smaller and you will be able to have more of them out at the same time too.

I second that.
I can easily make them breedable, but I'm not sure if that makes having them too easy, I'll look into it though.
If you ever make Ventoraptors breedable, you should also make Uvaraptors and Erepedes breedable.
All tameable mobs would be breedable and rare breeds could be bred for even rarer cross breeds! But this is for later.
