As a question, are the demon mobs supposed to spawn near rapid fire from Nether portals? I killed a Pinky and within maybe 2 minutes after killing it, about 3 more spawned.
Also, kind of a suggestion I've been meaning to make for a while now but forgetting my Minecraft Forums login kinda made me unable to suggest it, but could the mobs play their sounds less frequently? It's very apparent with things like Chupacabras that can spawn basically anywhere underground and don't despawn like most other mobs. It's kinda weird and slightly annoying to hear something sounding like it's constantly trying to regurgitate phlegm every 3 seconds.
In the latest update Nether mobs no longer spawn from Nether portals when in the Nether (it wasn't the fire but the actual portal).
I can look into adding a config option for the mob sounds, you can also lower the volume of mobs too. Chupacabras were designed to be fairly loud so that you can hear them coming as they can be quite dangerous, but I can understand them being quite annoying too so will look into adding an option for this.
Hey I love the mod, but it simply slows my ancient computer down too much. So I want to ask this; Is there a quick efficient way to disable the mobs from spawning completely, and only have the MobEvents part of the mod be active? Basically what I want to do is to not see a single lycanite mob until an event occurs. Ive went through the configs but theyre a little vague and its hard to test with loading times reaching 5 mins every time I start the game up. THanks in advance!
I think I added an option for this in lycanitesmobs-spawning.cfg. If noy you will need to go through each json file in config/lycanitesmobs/spawners and set "loadDefault" to false and "enabled" to false, those two are always together so a mass find and replace in all these files could work. You will also need to go into lycanitesmobs-spawning.cfg and set the global weight scale to 0 to stop mobs using the vanilla spawner too.

Is there a way to add mobs from other mods to the spawning configs? I'm trying to get Ice & Fire mobs to spawn naturally in some areas and would like some guidance of how to set it up. I'm have successfully been able to spawn Betweenlands druids from trees when the player chops them down, but haven't been able to get an Ice & Fire dragon to spawn using the skyhigh spawner.
hey ive got a problem ive been trying to fix for ages regarding the spawn rates, love the mod to bits but its getting to the point its near unusable on our multiplayer server. ive tried editing the "spawn weight" in both the lycanites cfg and the induvidual mobs json files but it actualy dosent seem to work and im almost suspecting the option is just not working.
Regardless what i set it to it keeps spawning creatures with the same frequency even if i set it to,

D:"Weight Scale"=0.000000000000000001. especialy the little rivers outside our induvidual homes just **** out jengus and lorays on mass and my castle is always packed full with wisps and nymphs

Hey Lycanite, is there any way to have Cinders (And possibly other Elementals) spawn only if the fire (Or their respective element) is running rampant? I'm having a lot of trouble with Cinders destroying wooden towns because of Netherrack + fire in a controlled area, but I'd rather not disable them entirely. Is there some way for their spawn chance to only occur if the fire destroys a block (e.g., leaves)?
1) Sometimes, after I leave the world and come back, all of the information in the Bestiary is gone. Creatures, Summons, Pets etc. As if I only just started the world.
2) The text just won't fit. It keeps going left no matter what I try. This happens with vanilla Minecraft so it's not the fault of resource packs.
The second one is more-or-less an annoyance, but the first one is game-breaking. Please fix it soon
PS: Sorry if these bugs were already brought up. I tried searching but found nothing online about them.
hey, I cant seem to activate my mounts inventories and cant put saddles or armor on them as a result, any idea why (ive got alot of mods so im assuming some sort of compatibility issue, but just wondering if this has come up before) other then that issue ive had no other problems and im really enjoying the diverse amount of creatures, its definitely keeping me on my toes.

Thanks for the information, I know this reply is a little late. However, the reason why I want to alter the mod content is because I think the data is a little too much on my PC. I'm using LM with several other mods, including Techguns, but I think the data is just too much and it makes the game lag. I really want to keep this mod active, and I have to admit many of the mobs introduced are pretty cool, but I want to know if there is a way to manually reduce the content to keep it from overloading the game. I noticed that when I installed the mod, my mods overall went from 18 to 29, and I theorize that Lycanite's Mobs is actually a collection of separate mini-mods, each including different mob sets. I'm not the creator so I'm not sure

I'm not insulting the creator or anything. Lycanite's Mobs is one of the best mob-based mods I've seen in the Minecraft Community - the creatures it introduces are incredible and make Minecraft much funner to play. But the only downside is that the extremely high content makes the mod difficult to use with others. It's a full package, over 60000kb of data deal with, and it's really taxing.

No offence taken, Lycanites Mobs is a very large mod and hardware is a physical limitation. I will be improving things so that disabled mobs wont have their assets loaded in, this will save memory but still means that some mobs have to be turned off. An alternative would be a low res resource pack but would take some time to create.

Someday I'd actually like to make a mish-mash server when I get a more powerful PC. I'd include this mod along with Techguns, Immersive Engineering, Mekanism, etc. and create a type of sci-fi action server.
Hello there, I'm trying to make LMobs spawn in different biomes, but after each launch of the game, their settings are set back to defaults. I'm changing "loadDefault" option to "false" in each creature config file, as well as in global.spawner, but it doesn't work, what am I missing?

Two HUGE issues with the mod's Bestiary:

The mod has a pretty extensive spawn control in the configs. You can turn on or off all the creatures, spawn events, triggers, and all sorts of stuff.

I am running 1.14.3 with the latest forge for 1.14.3 and Lycanites always fails to load when play MC. Does lycanites have any conflicts?
