Could anyone who got this mod running with JAS provide me with some detailed info on how this is done?
I tried setting all chances and weights in Lycanite cfgs to zero, "control vanilla mobs" to "false" and let JAS do the work, but no Lycanite mobs are spawning at all, even the geonach and cinders arent emerging from stone or lava.

Model code updated in the likes of a mob? Either boss or doppleganger. It's only what possible. Either that or the Raiko is advanced or something.
Edit: I've studied lycanite's github. he updated the asmodi and trite model code, he's hinting us somewhere. But the other demon mobs did not change in the latest update.
I think Asmodeus is not so far into the future.

I had a great idea. When you breed the farmable mobs, and they're both uncommon, you get the rare species!!! Also, I have an idea for a special mob, but this is just placing it into the catagory, which is a mob that arose long ago, the result of crossbreeding, the unvenraptor!!! And think of a RARE unvenraptor. That is a man's wish. Also, make it so when you you soulgaze an uncommon or rare mob, it adds a page to the section with that mob to the beastiary. Infact, I had a brilliant idea. A The beastiary has incomplete information by simply gazing on it. You have to gain more information by soulgazing blocks it puts, and also you expand the beastiary from breeding, taming, fighting, killing, and riding mobs. Even summoning them! It adds a page for each new piece of information. Also, you should make the beastiary an item or a tab to make it more realistic. Like you have a book on you. Also, better page turning.
So, please use these ideas, definately the one about the beastiary. Whelp, I didn't make a pun today, but this update sure was "Shiny"! Also, what's the different between scarlet and crimson? Shading? Also, you should add some semi-common varyities that are nothing but different textures, but count as something a little different. Just a little rarer than the common version, and any color tint is very small and goes by normal colors, like "Yellow". Their only difference would be minor health difference and maybe damage.
Subspecies farming is implemented already, if you bred two Verdant Makas, you'll always get a baby Verdant Maka, if you breed a Verdant Maka with a Golden Maka, it's 50/50 on which you'll get, regular mobs are more likely so if you breed a Verdant or Golden Maka with a regular Maka there's around a 90% chance of the baby being a regular Maka.
A cross-breed between the Ventoraptor and Uvaraptor is a Special Mob that I'd like to add in the future! It will jump half as high as an Uvaraptor and half as far as a Ventoraptor mixing it a mix of the two, so rather than making it the best, it's another choice instead.
When i tame ordinary ventoraptor and wear the saddle, all right and i see this cute picture:
But if i tame ventoraptor with subspecies and wear the saddle, i see this horror:

I'll fix that in a 1.9.0d hotfix, I might as well update the Russian language in that too then! This bug will affect armoured subspecies too, anything with extra overlay textures!

No Asmodeus just yet, the first boss is likely going to be Rahovart. The Asmodi's head now has a bottom, I've been working with Ganymedes adding support for his Headcrums mod, with it you'll be able to have a head for each mob in this mod, I think subspecies too, you can even wear the head!
I am having a problem with nether mobs spawning lobbers afrits and the other two lava mobs I cant think of do spawn but all the rest are not spawning. I checked the config and all are enabled. I do have other mods but took all them out and just used this mod and still isnt working. Any suggestions?

It looks like Journeymap doesn't like some of my blocks, so I think this one is on Journeymap's end.

You can control all of the custom spawners in the lycanitesmobs-spawning.cfg config, none of them have a total mob spawn limit, instead each mob has an area limit where so many of its kind is allowed to spawn in an area.
Wouldnt it make more sense for Raiko to be an Albatross? They are seabirds and can fly constantly (seriously, years without touching ground!), and they are HUGE birds!
Hmm so Pure Lava sounds and item bouncing, got it! I've fixed the light level issue, the item bouncing is being tricky though, I think I need to have it destroy the item quicker or something. I'm also going to look into lowering the red fog effect when swimming in any lava with fire resistance.
Can't you just use the normal Lava's code on your "Pure Lava", then just change the color and prevent mobs from spawning in it? Wouldn't that just solve the problems instantly?
