You may see me around here alot more depending on how this goes, my computer is pretty nice but this mod-pack strains it alot and makes it very hot very fast, normally this is postponed greatly when mod-pack has Optifine allowing me to no life the mod for hours at a time, but without Optifine I have to quit like 20-40 minutes into it due to computer reaching like 140-150 degrees (f not c).
Anyway I hope you add it because I am really "digging" this mod-pack (yes, i'm ashamed for that pun) I have a few more suggestions for mods like morph, balkons weapons mod, and openblocks, and buildcraft.
Also I finally made an account on these forums just to say this and I have been playing since like beta on many different accounts lol.
That's rather flattering, thank you sir.
But, 140-150 degrees F is pretty high, have you cleaned out your fans recently? Sounds like you may have some dust buildup.
You can also lower the render distance to help reduce the load on your computer.
I also, unfortunately, decided to remove Weather2, as it causes multiplayer servers to become unusable. Many other people who use that mod also experienced it and as such I will wait until the mod author himself fixes the problem to re-add it back in.

Yea I clean out my computer atleast once month it's just really prone to getting hot since the airflow is pretty crap in it, also I usually like to lower everything else but the render distance using optifine since the view on mod such as this is pretty important since they have many dungeons and biomes you need to look out for.
Also here is an example of what my computer does with graphics down but render distance to far without Optifine.
And here is an example of far render distance with Optifine on a different mod pack with a few more mods I believe.

Do you have Vsync on? It looks like your fps is ...really high either way and putting Vsync on will help lower the load on your computer greatly.
Vsync basically forces your computer to limit how many FPS it can do to whatever the refresh rate of your monitor is. (because any higher and it's pointless)
Most if not a great majority of monitors refresh at 60 hz, or 60 times a second, meaning the max FPS you can do and still notice should be 60 fps.
You may need to fiddle with your GPU's settings; sometimes there's a vsync setting in there too and it may be disabled preventing Vsync being used at all.

I have found the problem, It is toggled on but not actually on! You must turn it off then back on again (I didn't know Minecraft was an apple product XD). With it keeping my fps at 60 I can run my Client on max graphics and even on far distance with out it breaking a sweat haha. You saved my computer and have my gratitude, if you ever need help with something I would be more than happy to try to help you. I have a Skype if you ever want to know it and i'm also 18 so i'm not a squeaker(It bothers me talking to really young people especially when I ran a Minecraft server and had to listen to them). I'm not very handy with the programs but I have Sony Vegas Pro 12, Cinema 4D, AfterFX, Fraps, and Photoshop cs6. So maybe if your computer can't handle graphics of HD minecraft at far I could get some shots of biomes or something for you. Idk food for thought thanks again!
That's great to hear, glad I could help! I don't know of anything I could use right now... Maybe a review of the modpack would be cool!
In other news;
Weather2 has been re-added to the pack. It's compatible with multiplayer now and works wonderously!Keep in mind though Tornado destructiveness is set to default ON!! You can change this in the config settings under the Weather2 folder.
Well, I did have the Twilight Forest in the modpack originally but the author (at the time) was not allowing it to be in modpacks.
It seems like he changed his policy towards mod packs so I'll take a look at re-adding it again in the near future.
Alright, thank you, your modpack looks excellent and I'll be trying it out in the near future. Those two mods are my favorite and it seems like there are few mods that add them.
Running latest version of Truecraft, I'm currently working on creating the spawn point.
Feel free to join and play!
Are you running this off a server or your own computer lol? also think about getting some bukkit plugins such as factions so people can build without the worry of being blown up all day.
Never mind... your server doesn't seem to be up now.

Btw if I look down at the ground and max out settings to lowest possible ones I get this for fps;
