Can't get the Vibrant Shaders (both 1.07 and 1.054) to work. My display driver keeps on crashing whenever I run the game with them. The driver is outdated, anyway, and this may likely be the cause of the problem. Unfortunately I can't update nor replace it. The PC I'm using (IdeaPad Y460) has switchable graphics (Intel HD and Mobility Radeon 5650), so I'm stuck with the outdated driver Lenovo provided. For now, the Basic Shaders work for me until I get enough dough for a new PC.

Downloads can be found here http://leshcatlabs.net/downloads_unfil/ Catalyst 15.4 Beta 1 UnifL v2.0 is the newest version, but has some issues on win8.1. So you might want to set a restore point before installing them.
Neat. Thanks, Sildur1. I'll check and try this out when I have time.
Edit: I think I'll just get myself a new PC before using the Vibrant Shaders again. The game already lags with the Basic Shaders. The ATI card apparently has a problem with its RAM as well. I occasionally see some digital artifacts appearing on the display whenever I'm using it. I'm not sure if leshcat's driver can fix this, but I'll still try.
That would need you to get in to the code that makes those things. You can if you're up to it but it would require a guide of sorts.
I know that, Thats what I'm asking about. If there is any sort of info on what number needs to change, It'd be a huge help. Sildur, any chance you can throw me a bone?

What version of sildurs shaders do you want to change (like 1.07 beta normal)? and are your on mac?

The new lighting, colors, and fog in the vibrant shaders look amazing. You need to get a new screenshot of a V1.07B sunset up, because these current screenshots don't do it justice. Great work.
edit: Also, is there any way to make torches a weeee bit brighter? O_o
Specifically, I've already changed the color of torches to be more neutral with vec3 torchcolor = vec3(0.84, 0.46, 0.31)*1.5*eyeAdapt;
However, they still have a MUCH smaller light radius than torches in the game. I suspect that messing around with this bit will change that:
I just tested leshcat's drivers. Apparently, my laptop doesn't like having both GPUs work at the same time. I can only use one at a time. Windows kept crashing when it boots up. I encountered the same issue when I tried installing drivers for the GPUs from Windows Update. Looks like I'll have to make do with Lenovo's outdated driver until I get a new PC. This should also serve as a reminder to avoid laptops with hybrid graphics.
Also, remove Optifine just in case, and then re-install it once the shaders work without Optifine.
This may also be that his computer doesn't support the certain version of shaders. Maybe he has an Intel HD 2000 or wrong drivers. 4th gen Intel Hd (NOT IRIS) users need to use driver build 4080.

Getting a weird line in the sky when going from day to night. the red sky is the night sky and the darker sky is the day sky fading away. anybody else get this or know of a way to stop it?

Tried that but it's still happening. it's not a problem except for the day to night transition. It's very odd and i'm not sure whats going on. Reinstall hasn't done anything different.
You can delete the options.txt, optionsof.txt, and optionsshaders.txt files from %appdata%\.minecraft.
When you reload Minecraft, it will re-create them with the defaults.
I would turn on USE VBOs, change MIPMAPPING to suit your needs, but leave the RENDER DISTANCE / ANISOTROPIC FILTERING / ANTIALIASING all at their defaults.
I would leave the resource pack disabled for now.
Then try again..
Change a few settings, try again. Enable the resource pack, try again.

You should be able to find the drivers you need here http://leshcatlabs.net/unifl-unified-leshcat-drivers/
Those are so called hybrid drivers for laptops with intel and amd cards. They tend to work really good.

Oh, sorry. Currently running:
Sildur's Vibrant shaders 1.07 Extreme (beta)

float torch_lightmap = max((1.0/pow((1-modlmap)*16.0,2.0)-(1.5*1.5)/(16.0*16.0))*10.0,0.1);
But I don't know what number to change
ONE MORE THING: Seems like the version im running breaks maps. ANy idea how to fix this:

Update your drivers. Had this issue before too. Go to the Graphics Card's manufacturers site and you can download the drivers there.
NVIDIA CARD: http://www.geforce.com/drivers
AMD CARD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
(just enter your device information there)
