Can you post your complete specifications?
That happened to me too, but I just changed my version and it was fixed.
Do you have Optifine installed? If not, try installing it together with forge. Unfortunately I can't tell how, for I don't know how.
EDIT: Did the chat say something like "Invalid program final.fsh"? If so, try posting the adjustable variables here. Example: If this was in the chat after activating the shaderpack; Invalid program final.fsh. Then open the final.fsh inside the shaderpack zip and then paste here the adjustable variables (there should be a comment stating that). We'll see if that file is invalid/something's wrong. If nothing is in the chat box, sorry mate.
Ok, sorry for not replying sooner.
My full specs are:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
Intel i5-2430M (2.4GHz, Quad-Core)
8 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics 3000 (integrated, DirectX version 10.1, 1696 MB)
-Graphics Driver Version 9.17.10.3347
-OpenGL version 3.1
I've tried on both 1.7.2 and 1.6.4, and with both Optifine and without it on both versions.
Integrated Graphics is your problem. Your computer just can't handle it. You won't be able to run shaders on a non-gaming laptop
The basic shaders made for integrated graphics won't work either. I can show you proof that intergrated graphics work, just let me start up my other system with the Radeon 7560d intergrated graphics. But he might either have an installation/OS problem or his hardware has some weird driver/compatibility issue.
I am having some problems with the vivid shaders. Whenever I select any of them the game proceeds to crash/freeze such that I have to ctrl+alt+dlt my way out of the program and into the task manager where it claims that Java (Minecraft) is no longer responding. The freeze only occurs while in game and is usually so quick that I cannot even press the done button.
I use Forge release 1.7.2-Forge10.12.0.1024 and the most recent version of the GLSL shader mod.
My Setup is an Alienware M17xR3
Windows 8.1 Pro
I7-2670QM
AMD radeon hd 6990M which I've upgraded to the most recent drivers available from dell.
Edit: After trying out the troubleshooting methods mentioned by karyonix on the GLSL forum page I found that my AMD driver is actually being crashed when the shaders attempt to load. Though the development panel shows that everything validates successfully.
Go to AMD.com and find the 13.11 beta drivers, or you can download the latest 14.1, but for 14.1 driver version for AMD, you must apply the hotfix I'll link below or else your world will be invisible. Here's the hotfix. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=386289

Oh my god, not this again.
First off, this is advertised to be one of the most compatible shaders out there, and I could run all pre-releases of this since the first one that was publicly released, so I feel that the non-pre-release version should still be compatible, AND it's really not as bad as you may think, I can run most modern games pretty well on higher settings/resolutions with a decent framerate. For example: I can run HAWKEN at 1366 x 768 at ULTRA (highest) settings at a frame rate of about 25, which is good enough for me, so don't you go telling me I cant run freaking minecraft with a few graphics enhancements. PLUS i've lost compatibility with even the basic shaders, so something must be wrong.
In short: Please, don't reply to me unless you're actually helping.

Just to let people know :
New AMD 14.2 beta drivers are released and you no longer need to use any hotfix. Just remember to full uninstall previous drivers and restart before installing the new one
My full specs are:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
Intel i5-2430M (2.4GHz, Quad-Core)
8 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics 3000 (integrated, DirectX version 10.1, 1696 MB)

The problem might be either in the mod or the shader pack. Basic shaders, huh? Try disabling some variables.
I like this shader a lot. It gives me a whopping 60fps on vibrant while other shaders are busy faceplanting my framerate to the dirt. But is there a way to revert the skymap angle to its original position because reason:
What it should look like:
My resource pack is called Halcyon Days if anyone wondering.
Does the clouds have anything to do with the resource pack or not? I like it

Same problem, but only weird lens flares. I disable lens flares, brightness etc … but nothing change.

How did you disable the lens flare? Make sure you simply added 2 slashes (//) before #define Lens_Flare blablabla in final.fsh.
It should look something like this:
//#define LENS_FLARE
Hey Sildur, it's Matthew. Love your latest shaders (1.01 max) but here's the thing... I'm getting like 5 fps where prior to all your shaders I used to get 30 fps easy. Why is this? I am very confused lol Thanks for your time
It might be due to the update, which makes it look a lot better but "eats" more performance.
I saw some videos of minecraft showcasing surfaces get wet when raining. I know this is present in SEUS v10.1 but it doesn't work for me. Is there anyway to add these wet surfaces to Sildur's Vibrant shaders 1.01 max?

EDIT: Oh, and also HDR variable exposure effect?
I think I would probably have to implent karyonix way for pom and specular mapping. (Chocapic did this already in one of his previews). But it breaks the water color, because karyonix uses a different way to..uhm, render colors? So it would take quite some time. I got holidays soon so I can may look in to it.
For the Intel users, someone posted a log with probably helps to me to fix your issues (at least with the basic shaders). Also you can always add me in skype if you're up for some testing builds. (name is feuerhase-)
How did you do that? I just updated the Vibriant Shaders from Pre9 to 1.0.1 and now i get 50 fps! Before I had about 20 fps. Thank you for this awesome update.
You are probably using a nvidia card with 320+ drivers, 1.0.1 fixed some severe fps problems that occured with said drivers.

Okay, so I kind of forgot that posting an error log would be a bit useful when being really sad about shader errors. So, if it helps, here is a log of what happened when I tried to play minecraft 1.6.4 with the vibrant shaders v1.01 on my intel hd 3000 card.
If possible, could somebody explain just what exactly went wrong in the shaders. One thing I notice while posting it, was that there seemed to be a lot of "Invalid value at gbuffers_terrain fogMode" and "Invalid value at pre-useProgram". So, that's probably part of it.

I think I know now why, it's because you've to set effects as consts to make them work for the newer nvidia drivers. Somehow this seems to cause some problems on your Intel hd 3000...

Though a good suggestion, Dell has hamstringed me here by modifying the 6990M in their Alienware units to allow for switching between integrated and discrete graphics chips. I've never found a driver on the AMD website that works with my laptop because of this. Many of the drivers (both beta and released) even say in the fine text that they don't support switchable graphics and thus my Alienware is excluded because of that. I apologize for not mentioning this sooner.

Oh wow...
Have you ran AMD's driver verification tool to confirm that there's absolutely no solution to this?
By switching graphics chips, do you mean switching between using Intel graphics and AMD graphics or physical switching (removing graphics chips and replacing)?
On a side note, I have an AMD Radeon 7970 desktop version, I've experienced AMD driver crashes during random times for no reasons, but that error has not appeared at all in the recent 2014 year. I've also never heard of switchable graphics being incompatible with drivers because Nvidia notebook graphics seem to have that option and those graphics chips can work with the latest drivers.
So I would like to ask you the specific name/version of the driver you are using and also if you have tried other shaderpacks.

Well, is there a way to fix this without waiting for a new version? Like, can I do it by myself?
I've installed the vibrant shaders with no problems, but when I open a world, I'm greeted with:
I get waving leaves, grass and water, but nothing else. I'm running Windows 8 on an Intel Core i5 processor.
Am I doing something wrong?
The errors you get are most likely because of your hardware specs. Although you haven't told me your GPU, I can tell that most Intel GPUs receive many errors and do not have any good fixes.
But I still need the name of your GPU. Try running the basic shaders as well.
Every time I use these shaders, I get this weird flickering block lag. I don't have troubles like this with others shaders that I can run on my mac. Ive looked this up and I can't find anything simelar to what I'm experiencing. Please help me, I feel like this is something really simple right under my nose.

It think you're having the same issue as me. Are you using an Intel HD 3000 as well? If that's the issue, we'll have to either wait for an update, or a fix.
Heh, it works. Thanks!
