Thank you for all the work you are putting into these shaders. The game looks awesome with them.
I seem to be having an issue with FTB quest screens. When running any shader pack the blocks go almost fully dark unless I walk up to them with a torch in hand. Meaning anything displayed on the task screen is very hard to see. I'm thinking since it is a newer mod it may not have shader support? Is there anything I can do to fix or will it require waiting for that specify mod to have shader support.
Thanks again for your work Sildur!
Enhanced default might work, since the way it renders things is more basic and closer to vanilla mc.
Hello and thanks first of all for this amazing shader. Sadly I can't use it to its full extent and I don't know why.
Every time I run the Vibrant Extreme Shader with either 8GB or 4GB of RAM allocated via the JVM argument in the launcher, the game crashes after a few minutes. The same is happening when running the Vibrant High shader with 8GB of Ram but if I use only 4GB and the High shader it works.
My system is an Asus Zephyrus M Laptop with an i7 8750 6 core CPU, GTX 1070 and 16GB DDR4 2666mhz. Java 8u202 64bit is installed but the issue occurs when using this version as well as the version Minecraft comes with. The laptop is in graphics mode so the Intel HD graphics are shut down and Minecraft uses the GTX 1070. Performance while using the shader is fine, 100-140 FPS at 1080p/16 chunks, until it crashes under the environment described above.
4gb of ram should be all you need for minecraft, you definitely don't want to throw to much ram at it. As for your crashes, make sure your gpu driver and optifine are up to date, also try launching minecraft in admin mode.
Thank you for the wonderful shaders! I got this pack a few days ago and on the small multiplayer server I'm in, several of my chests will glow brightly if I look at them a certain way. Some will only glow at very specific angles, while one in particular will glow most of the time. Other people using this pack on the server see it too, and no amount of setting changes, driver updates, or reinstalling things has fixed it. I really love how the game looks with your shader pack and don't want to turn it off, but the glowing chests are driving me nuts.
Might be a server or optifine issue, block entities have their own lighting code it vibrant shaders, so they shouldn't break like that. Disabling bloom might fixes it aswell.
Here is what is happening with the task screens. I did try the Enhanced Default but issue persist. Seems to happen with any shader I run not just yours. Why I thought it may be a mod issue.
1st pic is vanilla
2nd is with shader
3rd is with shader torch in hand
Do modded blocks need to be able to accept shaders?
I have started to use the Sildurs Vibrant Shaders v1.20 Lite with the Chroma Hills Resource pack and was wondering if I could change the water to be more blue. In the underground it is almost totally clear. I really would like to see a deeper blue. Here are a couple images
Also where do I change the torch color?
So far those are my biggest wish as this pack works well with Chroma Hills for 1.13
Hi, I recently installed Sildur's Enhanced Default Shaders (most recent version) on the most recent version of 1.13.2 Optifine. I'm getting weird artifacting as if everything's out of focus and I'm looking through a fish eye lens.
I've recently been using the Vibrant Medium pack and I'm experiencing a weird line being drawn through the clouds when I look up. Above the line, clouds are there, and below the line, they are not. Is there a way to fix this?
Vibrant shaders has no wavy underwater effect, there's the animated textures in 1.13 and rain drops on screen which can be disabled.
But, there is...
This underwater effect: (Taken with Sildur's Vibrant Shaders 1.20 Extreme-Volumetric Lighting)[/b]
Compared to Vanilla:
I think it's pretty clear here? It warps the entire image in a wave-like fashion. Non-VR it's fine, but in VR it's like you're looking through vaseline or something.
4gb of ram should be all you need for minecraft, you definitely don't want to throw to much ram at it. As for your crashes, make sure your gpu driver and optifine are up to date, also try launching minecraft in admin mode.
Thanks for the help. Extreme still crashes with 4Gb of Ram but High is stable. The laptop is set up brand new and has all Intel and Nvidia drivers installed and up to date.

Modded blocks and such cause alot of issues. Adding your new block ids to a working block/id inside the shaderpack - block.properties might help.

Try enabling the water texture, found in the ingame shader options, that might help for now.

Caused by astralsorcery, disable it's custom sky stuff or remove the mod.

Extreme might crash because your gpu is close to overheating with it.

Don't think that's the issue but thanks anyway. My GPU only gets 85°C hot with either shader. The high shader now runs fine, I once had a crash in around 6 hours of play.
Do you have plans to add specular maps in the future? You've mentioned it would be tricky in the past, but I am curious if at the moment you have any plans for it.
Im having an issue where the shaders dont reach the full render distance, it wasnt an issue before, but i had to re install minecraft, java etc and try to remember the settings i had used before, and when i changed things, i noticed this happening. Is there a certain setting that i need to change to prevent it from not reaching the full render distance?
Using Enhanced Default *****
My biggest guess is that the shader itself doesnt render that far, if that is the case, can it be manually increased somehow?
I thought that was what was causing it as well, but no dice
I'm actually not quite sure what causes this, but I noticed that enabling motionblur disable it / overwrites which ever texture buffer is causing this.

Planned for the rewrite, not sure if I'm able to make it somehow work in vibrant shaders, would be a rather hacky solution.
I'm getting almost 50 FPS less than I was getting with version 1.18. Also, I'm having this really annoying god rays glitch: https://imgur.com/UcGepVA
I don't know what's causing this or how to fix it. I really like your shaders and I really want to keep using them. Please help.
Don't use godrays and volumetric lighting at the same time, they don't work together. As for your framerate, check your ingame settings, try updating your gpu drivers and make the game is not running on your integrated gpu.

Increase the shadow distance in the ingame shader options.

Turning on motion blur does indeed disable it, but motion blur is broken in VR, and turning it back off re-enables the effect.
I'll try and find some other way to disable it, thanks for your help! Despite this, I really do like these shaders-overall they're the best I've tried so ar.
I'm using vibrant shaders 1.20 medium with TerraFirmaCraft and everytime i ride a horse, every once in a while the screen gets very dark with a red tint to it, it also happens every time i open inventory while on a horse or every time i look at a horse attached to a lead. it doesnt show in the screenshots for some reason, only the gui is red

I have found that with Cubic Chunks, I need at least 12 GB when having shaders enabled.

Ah, I see, that's probably caused by refractions found in the reflections options screen.

Is it possible to disable the waving effect of water? (vibrant shader - medium)
Or making waving animations in general more subtle? (a lower amplitude I guess)
I’m currently running it on my laptop. My framerate isn’t amazing but I can live with that. Everything looks so cool!
