I have this weird lag issue with this shaderpack. My pc seems to handle it just fine, I have on Silder's in High, 32x textures, Optifine and a normal+ render distance and get around 40-50 fps in jungle biomes and 100-120 frames in every other biome but after I've been playing awhile, maybe an hour or so I start to get this strange jittering even though there's no fps drop. It looks like it's running at 15fps even though it's not. I try swapping to the lite version and turning off fancy graphics ect ect whenever this happens but it makes no difference, only thing that fixes it is to stop playing for awhile. Does this sound like overheating issues? I've never experienced this without shaders.
Edit: this was caused by the texture pack (Conquest). Other texture packs (and the default) are just fine.
Hi Sildur! I'm a happy user of your 1.054 shaders.
Could you please refresh this series with new sky and sun effects and probably add water colors from Chocapic13's 4.10 shaders? This is a short version of my humble request. Now more details:
Without torches visible even at full daylight the inhabited lands look flat and dull and in newer shaders you cannot see where the torches are until very late at night.
Closer fog and softer colors give a feeling of greater distance and hight in 1.05 shaders.
Lava looks more like ketchup in newer shaders.

it may be because my game is modded heavily but it doesnt crash it just wont come up with the button in options!
i have downloaded both this and GLSL. but for some reason it just wont work.. this isnt the first download i have made of this mod because it shows up with (3) after the file... i dont know if that was the problem
also i tried getting SEUS it worked after crashing a few times, but it said i had to update my graphics. i thought that meant upgrade to 1.8 so i did, but when i realized and went back to 1.7.10, it wouldnt work! im about to SCREAM PLEASE HELP

I NEEEEEEEEEED SHADERS
Are you using this shaders mod? If so are you using the correct version of Forge? What Minecraft version are you running? If it is 1.8 or higher use Optifine instead of the shaders mod because it has built in Shaders (Forge is not required with it but it can be used). Also what are your PC specs?
firstly apologies for my lack of skills at posting this stuff, i’m not great at getting the pics properly linked up and getting the words is a bit of an issue too to be honest, though i feel i may have some valid information so this was a necessary attempt.
i see that this is listed as "upto" 1.8.8, not sure if that's because it doesn't actually work properly with 1.8.9 or something else as i've not yet noticed anyone having a 1.8.9 tab in their areas i'm thinking it might just not be available?... so what follows may not be as relevent as i hope.
i'm running 1.8.9, using forge-1.8.9-11.15.0.1718 if that’s useful to know, i’ve tried to get shaders working with minecraft for years and so far have never managed to have the right version to do so, but now it seems with the new optifine options this can be achieved (at least mostly).
so i’ve spent a while trying out as many as possible and it seems that this shader pack (Vibrant shaders+v1.13+high) offers the most comprehensive options (there are shader packs that i’ve yet use as they’re not compatible with optifine it seems without rooting around their files and performing further modifications) as most other options offered are usually just and on or off switch rather than your occasionally scalable options, though i must say i think it’s the best at what doing what i’m looking for and would likely still chose it without those most excellent optional extras.
it’s the best of the bunch for what i’m after but i feel it falls short in a few pretty fundamental places, i like to see:
1- view distance fog: i’m not keen on seeing how broken the world is outside of my loaded chunks but it seems every version since “basic” has had this fog stripped away.
2- water reflection, because i love to see watery looking water.
3- non-shaky shadows, the kind that don’t “track back” on themselves every second and don’t cascade so obviously.
4- standard sky day and night brightness, not sure if this is factually correct so i’ll explain that i’m using a mod which adds brightness set by the moon phase, half moon=some visibility eclipse=severe darkness, it also adds a red moon so i like to see that colour too (not sure now if they’re from the same mod but they’re from the same author if not, they’re: Hardcore Darkness and Bloodmoon by WayofTime i believe.
5- a subtle glow to the runes on the Runic Matrix from Thaumcraft, unfortunately the runes to become quite hideous with some shaders, this may be wholly due to texturing on the Thaumcraft end so maybe you can’t do anything about that.
here’s the Sildurscore out of 50:
1: 2 points, though there’s is fog it looks like it offsets to several time the distance i’d like.
2: 9 points, love the water, it’s so good but is there a way to still have the light from glowstone etc visible under it? (if that’s just my computer then adjust that score to 11 even though i can’t see it i appreciate the effort;).
3: 9 points, it really is top par though i still feel there should be better ways to handle some of them.
4: 3 points, the night-time does at least appear quite dark and doesn’t have the luminosity that some shaders seems to add to mobs and water:/
5: 4 points, at some point between the “basic shader” and the “vibrant shader” a quite hideously pixelated glow has been appropriated to the runes, what ever part of the shader does this needs an option to minimise it if possible, this is not really important as the other points so i score a bit higher there to make up for lost revenue.
i don’t know about this, i was trying to edit the images because i can see they're not going into spoilers as i wanted but just appearing as links... it's a pain to edit the things though so from now on i must warn you there no point in opening the "spoilers".
i also don't know enough about the graphics to know why that shadows have to appear triangular rather than square in the case of the “crops” borders, maybe that’s just me too but i thought i should point out that the must be a better way:/
at the end of the day if it means having this sort of thing happening all over the place then i think i’d prefer to not have the shadows at all so having an option to turn them off would be super (again not knowing enough i think it might help to have an option to have a “standard shadow” which is cast at a set angle but just increases and decreases in opacity with time so the position need only be calculated once). at least having the option to turn of shadows for grasses and flowers would be pretty great.
while you may be looking to add more options i’ll also suggest having an option the alter the opacity of the shadows as standard and have a little variation in daylight brightness too.
i think fire shouldn’t cast a shadow but its smoke should
that’s without shaders also notice the distance fog fading the horizon nicely out…
and with the shaders
there’s the “blueness” starting at about the correct distance for the fog to be but beyond the slight colour change the air is left quite open..
maybe i’m experiencing a masking/occlusion problem somewhere.
also notice the smoke particles look like they’re going behind the sky:/
i assume that the fire is giving off light but the bloom/radiance and surface light “isn’t visible” because the daylight light is so vibrant.
here’s night-time without the shaders, the black sky blends in with the black ground:
and with the shaders
the brightness is too much i think.
i know the file states it’s vivid but i also think that it’s either a little bit broken or that it’s not working as intended because of some compatibility issues, with that being said here’s a final picture of what it looks like at a couple of hundred blocks elevation…
thaumcraft specific screenshots:
no shaders and basic version

i'm just going to have to hope the images are linked correctly and all fit into the spoilers as i've attempted, i recall having issues with this before so will just go ahead and applies now for probably having made a mess of things.. the preview suggested things went not quite right, sorry.
stated that i’m using a mod to two that mess a bit with the light settings of minecraft so if that’s the reason for the apparent appearance issues i’m seeing then i am quite sorry about that and i must say i’ve not yet even tried these shaders without this/those mod/s, though i’ll point out that the earlier “not vibrant” version keeps the fog and only 2 other shaders that i’ve found to work so far do this.
the final images are looking directly down from 167 blocks
standard (no shaders) then basic and finally vivd.
editing note: i went back and edited the image because it was so much of a mess but i left the initial editing mentioned.
Edit: this is the section where i apologise the both lumien & wayoftime for confusing their work. sorry guys.

Btw Sildur if you dont know, which im certain you do, i have a few codes that will remove shadows from your fire and stained glass if you want to use them.
im using 1.7.10, and yes, i have got the right version of forge. my computer is an acer windows 7 and its second hand.
i have tried that version many times and also alot of other versions but none of them have worked.
i just dont know what im doing wrong
Make sure your hardware is supported. You've never said what GPU you have.
Start with vanilla minecraft and follow the instructions carefully. You don't need the latest and greatest here, just use the versions mentioned. E.g. Minecraft-1.8.9, Forge #1715, OptiFine 1.8.9_HD_U_H2.
Once you have the shaders working start to add other mods one by one.
Yupp, as I said. Update your GPU drivers and it will work fine.

Take the 64bit version. As you're running win8.1 64bit.

Hi there!
I'm using shaders for 1.7.10 and I can't make my hand/itens work proporly. They become transparent.
I'm using the latest shaders mod version for 1.7.10 (v2.3.31) and I've tried every single shaders (ultra, medium, lite) and it doesn't look good.
Well, I have read a lot about this, but I did not find any solution that works so far. If someone here knows how to fix this, I'd be greatful.
Thnaks!
------ Edit -----
Ok, so I was visiting a AMD forum and I found the problem. Is an issue with Catalyst v15+
I did a rollback to 14.9 and it wors fine now.
So to everyone having transparency issues with shaders, the problem is Catalyst.
