I have this issue that happens when I try using any of your shaders and BSL's in FTB Revelations. KUDA and SEUS won't give me this black screen, but I'd like to try other shaders as well. I'm 90% sure it's a mod conflict because it works fine in Vanilla.
Reddit mods removed my post because of rule # 4
"Do not expose any bugs here. Send them straight to the mod's developers or post to the appropriate bug trackers"
The weird thing is user fcpwiz doesn't have this issue.
I've tried with the FTB Launcher, Twitch/Curse client, and the Minecraft Launcher with mods copied and pasted.
oh lol, sorry. i didn't notice that in the update log. But turning the shadows off barely improves fps if even at all. I also get an 'Error: invalid program "composite" when trying to enable normals.
Disabling shadows doesn't make that much of a difference because the shadersmod will still create the shadow buffer, no way to prevent that currently.
Just recently discovered those shaders (mostly because of the enhanced default which is pretty and allow the use of vision potions unlike all other shaders out there) but wanted to know if it was possible to have the "glistening wet" effect some other shaders have on blocks when it rains?
Or is it linked to the lightmap and as such, impossible to use with the enhanced default shaderpack without wrecking it?

Hmm, what might be possible, will see.. if I don't forget about it..
Im wondering how will Sildur deal with new water vision mechanics (new snapshots). Does shaders override it? I think it will work still in enhanced default.
Bonus question: Is it possible to give enhanced default same "orangy" tint to light like in vibrant shaders?
There's an ingame shader option called crossprocess, kinda giving it a move vibrant look, custom lighting is unlikely to happen.
By far the best shaderpack available right now, but it's just missing one feature that I love and it's POM/PBR Have you thought about implementing those? Thanks
Vibrant shaders do support parallax mapping, there's an ingame shader option for that.
Sildur, is there a tweak I can do to vibrant ones that would show the skybox from a resource pack? It would ne nice to have this as an option in future versions.
Not that easy because of custom shader sky etc, I think it somewhat works during night time.
Sildur, downloaded file comes in .zip format, i tried to download from chrome and from mozilla (firefox), but the shader didn't appear.
What's the problem?
Hmm, what's weird, might be a folder issue then. It should look something like this, just press on the shaders folder button and move the .zip file in:
I can't see the vanilla moon when I turn off Shader Moon
In ".minecraft/shaderpacks/Sildurs Vibrant Shaders v1.17 Medium.zip.txt" I have Moonshading=false and in ".minecraft/optionsof.txt" I have ofSunMoon:true
For debugging, I've removed resource packs and the only mod right now is OptiFine. The issue persists in Vibrant Shaders v1.17, v1.166, & 1.153 and Optifine 1.12.2 HD U D1 pre, C9, C8, & C7.
I can see the vanilla moon in Vibrant Shaders v1.141 (even with my other mods & resource pack) since there was no Shader Moon option back then, but it comes with old issues like particle glow/transparency against the sky so it's not ideal.
These shaders are gorgeous, so I'll use another mod to track the moon phases for now.
Check if your folder structure of the shaderpack is correct. In the .minecraft folder should be a shaderpacks folder, in that needs to be the shader.zip. Inside the zip the folder structure should look like this: shader.zip -> shaders -> (lang, world1, world-1, and a lot of .fsh / .vsh files)
I'm having an issue with my sky, no matter what I do I cannot fix the issue. As you can see in the screenshots above the cross-hair the sky seems to render mostly okay but below the cross-hair everything disappears, also there is no sun or moon.
I'm using a mod pack from Twitch called The Simple Life 2 for minecraft 1.10.2

caused by astral sorcery, you have to disable it's custom sky stuff in astralsorcery.cfg, S:skySupportedDimensions remove the 0 from that one. If it's still not working add 0 to S:weakSkyRenders.
Also you might want to update vibrant shaders, there's v1.17 already.

Hence i suggested 'simply' adding normalmap support to the basic shaders, if thatis possible without it calling upon shadows?

Slidur or someone, please help me with shaders.
I downloaded the latest version of optifine (1.12.2), and i downloaded and installed your shader (Sildur's vibrant).
I placed the shader in "shaderpacks" file, but when i go in minecraft>options>video settings>shaders i there isn't
the shader i downloaded. When i open "shaderpacks" folder in minecraft, there is placed shader but in minecraft i
haven't shader's name that i can click on. Anyone, please help. Thanks to everyone! Have a nice day!
Make sure the downloaded file comes in .zip format. If it doesn't try a different browser like chrome or firefox.

Yeah, you have to open up shaders.properties in the shaderpack zip file and set moon=false to true.

Ah shucks, now I see you've said this before. Worked like a charm, ty!
Can anyone help?
My shader doesn't appear in shaders option!
I tried everything but it doesn't appear!
Please help!!
Check if your folder structure of the shaderpack is correct. In the .minecraft folder should be a shaderpacks folder, in that needs to be the shader.zip. Inside the zip the folder structure should look like this: shader.zip -> shaders -> (lang, world1, world-1, and a lot of .fsh / .vsh files)
recap:
.minecraft -> shaderpacks -> Sildurs.. .zip -> shaders -> (all shader files)
also check:
1. if it is the correct ,minecraft folder
2. redownloading the shaders
3. if you have a ressourcepack active which for some reason hides the shaderpacks
