Looking at an itemduct (from Thermal Dynamics) while holding a cover from the same mod (created with a structuralduct) freezes the game for about 5 seconds and then crashes the game.
The problem does not occur with vanilla shaders. It should show a transparent layer depending on which side of the itemduct the player is facing, without having to actually place the cover.
The problem occurs with both opaque and transparent itemducts, regardless of their content.
The problem occurs with both opaque and transparent covers.
Your shaders are especially good for playing with modpacks because they don't mess up particles and other effects that are often used in modpacks. Also the chunkbounds are clearly visible!

I'll provide more information if required.
Hm, shaders shouldn't crash the game, if anything it's optifine/shadersmod causing this. Maybe the preview versions are more stable, latest one for 1.12.2 is E4 Pre4.
Just wanted to say that I really love the way your shaders look! However, I was wondering if there was a reason that even underground, with all settings I can think of to make it as dark as possible, and its still very bright, so much so I'd never need a torch underground outside of keeping mobs away. Is it possible there is a setting I don't understand, or is it just the way your shader is? or maybe something with optifine? Regardless, thanks again for the shader!

Thanks for quick comments. I just tried optifine E4 Pre4 but the crash is still happening. The error log is identical. Also,
Update:
It looks like it's not specific to a shader.
I tried SEUS renewed 1.0.0 to see if it's a specific or a general problem with shaders, and the crash is still happening with SEUS too.
Yes, it looks like it's optifine causing this. I'll just leave this here for anyone coming across this problem.
finally its back, all thou im waiting for a next update! that the water are super realistic like wisdom shaders, but i remember its laggy NVM, but I wish there is!. Thank you Sildur!

It's happened with different versions of the shaders, these errors appeared when using the Vibrant Shader v1.20 Medium. My GPU drivers etc are all up to date. I'll also try attaching a screenshot of what's happening... can anyone help me?
Edit to add: I'm using Windows 10 Home x64bit (10.0.17763 version), 16GB of DDR4 RAM, a GTX1050 (driver is 399.31), also there's an Intel GPU which shouldn't be used by Minecraft if my settings there are correct. Everything in game works fine except for the shaders.
Check the minlight setting in the emissive lighting screen again, it goes both ways, lower and higher. Adjusting that should make everything darker.

Yeah you must use optifine with it's inbuild shadersmod instead of the standalone. Because optifine improved the existing shadersmod and added new features for us shader devs. Only other thing you could do is run an old version of my pack, I think something like v1.166 would still work. Found in the legacy tab in the main post.
I'd like to give your latest shaders (1.13.2) a go, and if you have something for 1.14 then that would be awesome too. Can you PM me a link to a download? Thanks!
Thank you for the suggestions, I tried using it without a shadersmod, which didn't work, but then I tried a few legacy versions and the 1.5.3 worked almost perfectly (while using the Shadersmodcore as well). Not totally perfect, but still a huge improvement to vanilla minecraft textures
- Added support for MC 1.14+ (waving entities, new emissive blocks)
- Updated shadows code and reduced shadow acne. This might improve performance on lower end systems slightly.
- Added an ingame option to adjust the volumetric clouds height, found in the sky and lighting section. (yes you can also fly through them)
- Updated water color slighty, made it a bit more blue.
- Added a new ingame options section called Colors.
- Added an ingame option to adjust water color found in the new Colors section.
- Added an ingame option to adjust color contrast, found in the new Colors section.
- Added an ingame option to adjust color brightness, found in the new Colors section.
- Removed ingame option colorboost. Contrast and brightness allow you to fine tune colors better.
- Added waving water and an option to toggle it.
- Added an ingame option to adjust the amplitude (height) of water waves.
- Updated waving lilypads to be in sync with waving water.
- Added an ingame option to adjust the noise amount of rain reflections. Higher values mean less noise.
- Added a new ingame options section called Shading.
- Moved Ambient occlusion to the new shading section.
- Added an ingame option to adjust the ambient occlusion strength/amount.
- Moved Celshading to the new shading section.
- Updated celshading code.
- Added an ingame option to adjust the border thickness of celshading.
- Added an ingame option to adjust the search radius of celshading.
- Moved option Moonlight to the Sky & Lighting section.
- Reduced buffer accuracy resulting in a small perfomance increase!
- Expanded values range of option minlight. (0.002 - 0.02)
- Fixed broken reflections on MacOS with amd cards.
- Fixed broken parallax mapping on amd cards running linux drivers
- Updated overworld fog color slighty, gave it some of that blue color back, like it used to be in older versions.
- Volumetric lighting now auto disables godrays since they're not compatible.
I'm so sorry to be a bother, I am a complete idiot when it comes to these things and I'm JUST learning how shaders work.
Does every version of your shaders work with Minecraft version 1.7.10? Or are only some versions compatible with that Minecraft version? Again, I'm sorry for the stupid questions.

Hi, so here is the screenshot after your update, and little changed, the water is still too transparent and there is a natural color.
You said that in your next update you would have improved the water color, but I didn't see big changes, to have a darker color I have to enable from the options water structure, but in doing so we see the small squares, and it is not very realistic, " see second screen shot "
why don't you put the same color of the second image but with the realism of the first image?
Great, when the next update comes out is there a date?
I just found a bug that crashes the game.
Environment:
Description:
Crash log:
Encouragement:
I'll provide more information if required.
Kinda waiting for optifine to support 1.14, so once that's done an update for my packs should drop.

Also,
Update:
Yes, it looks like it's optifine causing this. I'll just leave this here for anyone coming across this problem.
finally its back, all thou im waiting for a next update! that the water are super realistic like wisdom shaders, but i remember its laggy NVM, but I wish there is!. Thank you Sildur!
Hi! It's my first time using shaders or minecraft with mods in general, but I'd really like to use your shaders. I'm playing a Modpack called "After Humans", which is Minecraft 1.7.10, Optifine HD U D6 (I also tried using version E7, didn't work either) and the appropriate Shadersmodcore version (2.3.31?). Check the minlight setting in the emissive lighting screen again, it goes both ways, lower and higher. Adjusting that should make everything darker.
