I have install the last Sildurs Vibrant Shaders v1.164 Extreme-Volumetric Lighting with OptiFine_1.12.2_HD_U_C6.
All is fine and very beautifull but i don"t have the dark when the night is comming. I see in the night like at the day.
If you could help me.
I have a FTB DIREWOLF20 1.12.2 serveur (the last one)
Thanks
Try running vanilla with optifine only and check the night again. There's also an ingame option called moonlight which allows you to brighten and darken the night time even more.
I recently got my new and first gaming computer and I have issues having quite a low rate of FPS with shaders. I barely reach 70 FPS maximum and 48/50FPS minimum, the game goes around the 55/60 FPS.
I play MC in its 1.10.2 version, 1920x1080p resolution, 12 render distance and using the 1.165 Extreme Sildur's Shaders and I allocated 4Gb ram for the game.
Here's the beast's specs (it's a desktop)btw:
- Ryzen 5 1600 3.2 Ghz
- Inno3D GTX 1070 8Gb
- 16Gb RAM 3000MHz
- Windows 10 Pro (I recently installed the Fall Creators Update without any issue)
The mods used : (pretty much vanilla)
- Forge 1.10.2-12.18.3.2511
- Optifine 1.10.2 HD U E3
And my current driver is the latest, 388.31. I also tried the most recommanded one which is 385.69 but there's no noteworthy differences.
I really don't know how where the problem is, I run the vanilla game without the shaders at 600-700 Fps (and I spawned in a very dense forest) but I go sometimes below 45 Fps at worst cases with the Extreme Shaders.
If someone can help or improve the situation if would be a huge help!
That's weird, after reading your comment I ran through a forest on my high preset and got an average framerate of 100 (gtx 960, 1080p). There might be an issue with ambient occlusion on pascal gpus. Try minecraft 1.12.2 with optifine C6 without forge and set your view distance to 12 and use my high preset instead of the extreme one. Also make sure that render quality and shadow quality in the shaderpacks selection screen are both set to 1x.
If you're still suffering from a low performance a clean installation of your gpu drivers might help using display driver uninstaller (DDU).
Apparently some people got worse performance in pretty much any game after updating to the win10 fall creators update, so that might be the case here aswell.

Check to see if there is on board GPU it may be in use . Go to Nvidia 's control panel and add javaw.exe to use only Nvidia's GPU
You can safely run it without going into safe mode. It wont uninstall anything but your gpu drivers. However I'm not sure if it's going to do much if you had those issues before the win10 update aswell. It might be your CPU which holds you back. Is your framerate more stable if you cap it at like 65?
How could a Ryzen 5 series hold a GTX 1070 ?
The framerate is stable at 65 FPS with very rare drops to 64. But I was on field close to a savannah and desert so there weren't much things that could drop the performance tbh.
Having 60 FPS is perfect for me but I know that once I install RTG (Realistic Terrain Generation) and Biome O' Plenty + plenty of secondaries mods, i'll get a 20 FPS drop (worse I had was 26 or 27 FPS)
I would just try it with your mods on a locked framerate (like 65). I had similar issues like a year ago, my performance in minecraft was all over the place if I didn't lock the framerate. Not quite sure how I fixed that, reinstalled minecraft and used the standalone launcher which requires you to install java yourself, might helped with it.
In 1.12.2, whenever I look at any entity in Survival using either Lite, Medium, or Enhanced Default; my screen either comes VERY dark or the entire game turns blue like this:
Here are my PC's specs:
OS: Windows 10 Home Editon 64Bit
Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 4400
OpenGL Version and Build: 4.3.0 - 20.19.15.4531
RAM: 8GB

Strangely, it seems that the mod, RPG-Hud is causing these issues to occur. However, the issue only occurs when I have the Entity Inspect option in said mod turned on (the option makes a little gui with entity stats like OneProbe and WAILA). I created a little issue here under the mod's Github page.

Also.. that driver you gave me didn't install, my computer said that it wasn't the correct driver for my computer
This is the latest driver for an intel hd 4400. However your manufacturer most likely changed the device ID of your HD 4400, which is why the driver won't install the normal way. You have to force it once to get your proper HD 4400 device ID back. Download the 64bit driver that comes in a .zip, unpack it and follow this guide here: https://pastebin.com/93kQ5Lty
Generic intel drivers usually run alot better and are updated more often then the ones provided by your manufacturer.

Strange.. that didn't fix the issue. Like I said, I have a strong feeling it's dealing with RPG-Hud, as neither WAILA or One Probe has ever caused this issue

Yeah, it's a mod issue. Still a good thing that you updated your gpu drivers, will help in other games aswell. Also you're able to install driver updates the normal way now. (using the setup)
Say, what's the driver link for the Intel HD Graphics 4200? Lately my laptop has been REALLY laggy (with and without shaders and mods) ever since I completely formatted it

HD 4200? Same generation as the HD 4400, so it's exactly the same driver. To find future updates just go to intels website and search for your GPU model. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/

Oh wow! Minecraft runs MUCH better with that driver update.. HP hasn't updated my driver since 2015, that would definitely explain why the game ran so much slower. I appreciate the help alot
Why is there no moon cycle? I watched confused as all nights showed me the same full moon and even more confused after I haven't seen any slimes
There's an ingame option to disable the shader moon found in sky options. After that enable the default moon by editing shaders.properties found in the shaderpack zip file. Line 35, moon=false, simply set it to true and you're good to go.
Why does my Ender IO SAG mill look like this? (1.10.2.)
I don't know this mod, but I guess that block shouldn't be reflective. This has most likely something todo with the way that block (the mod) is coded, for the shadersmod to handle it like other transparent blocks. So can't do much about that.

Even in enhanced default? Are you using any mods other then optifine? Seems like a driver issue to me, intel had some in the past aswell. Is there something I can edit to make ice reflections flat again (no bumpy effect)? It's hard to see against water at night time.

This is actually a bug, transparent blocks shouldn't be that dark during night time.
