herobrine123x_, I think what TheNinjaBetaTester meant is to make the mod compatible with the 64 bit JVM, so 64 bit users don't have to downgrade their JVM, limiting RAM usage. As the mod developer says in the "Next Update" spoiler on the first page of the thread at the bottom, using Chromium (a 64 bit dll) to replace his current 32 bit dll for in game internet interaction would solve this problem (the 64 bit JVM is limited to only reading 64 bit dlls and cannot read 32 bit dlls). We can however assume that because it is in the "Next Update" section that the mod developer is attempting to get that working, hopefully sooner than later because I'm not getting it until its 64 bit compatible, as I'm sure some of us would agree.
I am fine with it being 32bit for the client, I just need to get a separate machine to run my server on and test if running it in 64bit can still be used normally by players using 32bit in their clients LOL. (reason is I need more ram for my server, but the client I don't. It works fine with what 32bit offers for now )

No one has that right, only you get to chose how you feel about something.
I have installed both java7 64 bit, and 32 bit. I have installed the most recent forge, and im using MC 1.6.4, Windows 8.1. When i change the java directory to C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe and push play, the green loading bar shows up, and goes away, and the play button refreshes, so minecraft never starts up, i then decided to use java 8 32bit , but the launcher would disapear, but the game would never start up. So im thinking its crashing some where but i cant find the report. I have done everything anybody has mentioned and it still doesnt work. ALso when i uninstall java 7 64bit, minecraft pops up an error, so i run as administrator, and it works, but my computer zooms in, and gets all @#$%#@ up. HELP PLEASE.

I had no luck trying to run anything in 32bit after I installed 64bit java, if anyone has a clue as to how to make both play nice with each other instead of one trumping the other and not letting anything addressing it directly, use it

When I right click my screen it seems to turn black if like it isn't working but as I break the screen, it leaves some squarelike black thing which can not be removed. Why it isnt working?
when you do all this, how are you doing it?? are you using the minecraft.exe to launch or some other method to launch the game like multiMC or Techniclauncher? gotta, know how before anyone might know why. lol

Would you mind making another one of those step by step posts on how to install in a modpack with 1.7.10? I manually make mine without any other programs. Still getting a black screen.

Thanks, but its still not working (getting black screen), even when building it with MultiMC. I hope the author addresses this soon.
you are using a 32bit java on a windows machine too right? (though when we did not it showed us a grey screen with text on it telling us that we had to switch to 32bit from the 64bit on our windows 7 machines) the black screen issue I only had the issue when I was using multiMC and only putting the files in the main window instead of in the minecraft folder inside the instances folder
what version of forge are you using too? that might matter,
I am using 10.13.2.1230 and FML v7.10.85.1230 (also something that has MCP v9.05)

WARNING: WARNING:
Now you can interact with screens using ComputerCraft
Hi everyone,
I'm happy to show you today my new mod: Web Displays, which adds a Web Screen Block and more! So, what do you think this block will do? Well, when you place a few of those blocks (144 in fact) in a 16x9x1 surface shape, and you right-click it, a real web browser shows up. You can go on YouTube, watch some videos or listen to your favourites musics, watch the stream of your favourite streamer, shows the news in your server's lobby and everything in-game.
For windows 1.7.10 client:
Because installing my mod on the client is a little bit difficult, I made an installer that you can download HERE !
After downloading the installer, double-click on it to launch it and click on install. You can click on the three dotted button to change the .minecraft folder. This is NOT needed in any cases if you are using the official Minecraft Launcher. When starting the launcher, don't forget to select the Forge profile!
That's it
For 1.7.10 server: NOTE: This works on ALL os with either java 32bits and 64bits.
Simply download the mod from HERE and put it in the mods folder. Start the server from the forge-xxx.jar and NOT the minecraft-server.jar!!!
And, if you want to play Minecraft with your friends make a BIG cinema/theater or something like that, I suggest you
For non-windows 1.7.10 clients:
Like I said, on non-windows clients, you won't be able to see screens it is just made so that you can join server that uses this mod.
Like the server installation instructions, simply download the mod from HERE and put it in the mods folder.
Manual installation for windows 1.7.10 client:
So, first, note that manual installation is complicated and is for advanced users, and I won't reply to any question about this guide. If you have troubles, please use the installer.
By the way, this manual will only work on the original launcher :S
What you'll need:
The raw mod from HERE
The libraries from there: WDlibs.zip
Minecraft forge installed.
How to install:
Go to your game directory (by default .minecraft in %appdata%), open WDlibs.zip you downloaded before and extract it in this folder. Open the mods folder and paste the WebDisplays.zip/.jar file you have downloaded before too.
If you have a 32bit windows, then you can play. Else, you need to do the following:
Start the Minecraft launcher. Check that the selected Profile is Forge and click on "Edit Profile".
In the "Java Settings" category, check "Executable" and in the text field put the path to your javaw.exe from your 32 bits Java ! Click Save profile and enjoy
To find your java 32bits path:
Usually it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe if this file can't be found, then open C:\Program Files (x86) if this directory doesn't exist, then you have a 32bit windows, just start the game. Go to the Java directory. If it doesn't exist or if there is no folders inside it, then please Install java 32 bits.
Now open the jreX folder or jdk1.X.Y_Z where X is at least 7 (can be higher but NOT lower. If it's lower, install java 7 32 bits). Open the bin folder. You have found you java 32 bits path. Copy it and past it in the "Executable" field, don't forget to add \javaw.exe after it.
For modders: API
You can download the Web Displays API from here: http://montoyo.net/wd2.php?t=api&v=latest
Basically, you can do anything while it uses my API and while this API remains unmodified. You can redistribute my API with your mod once compiled and reobfuscated by MCP/Forge. You are no able to decompile and/or edit the mod, or use reflection to access some fields/methods from my mod or access private fields/methods of my API.
The screen:
First, you need to craft some web screens blocks like this:
Then, build a little walll with them (minimum size: 2x2) and right click on the side where you want the screen to appear (check that you don't have any items in your hand). That's it, you created your screen. Shift-Right Click to change the URL. To click on a link/button, simply right-click it with nothing in the hand.
The minePad:
Ok, so you have a web browser in a block; now what about a web browser in an item? Here is the minePad: YAY!
Once you created it; you need to right-click a real screen (made out of web screens blocks) and you'll see what is shown on the screen but on your this tablet!
Peripherals:
Peripherals are blocks that can be connected to a screen using the Wireless Linker:
You have to right click the screen first and then the peripheral with it. Note that peripherals can be wherever you want in the world, there is no distance from the screen limit. It just have to be in the same dimension.
Peripheral #1: The keyboard:
To type things in the web screen, you'll need the keyboard:
After linking it to a screen with the linker, just right-click it with nothing in the hand, type whatever you want, and press Escape when you have done.
Peripheral #2: The Computer Interface:
If you want to use ComputerCraft to interact with the screen, here is the computer interface:
After linking it to a screen using the linker, place a computer next to it. You can access its functions using peripheral.wrap("SIDE_OF_THE_INTERFACE")
To know which functions are available; you can watch my little tutorial here:
Peripheral #3: The Repeater:
This peripheral is a little bit special; it'll repeat what a real screen will show (called "source"), but on another screen (called "repeater).
Build two 16x9 screen (using web screens blocks). Turn on the source screen (right-click it with nothing in the hand). Then, select it by right-clicking it using the wireless linker. Once the source has been selected, click on the second screen using the linker. That's it
Peripheral #4: The Remote Controller:
Crafted like this:
The Remote Controller once linked to a screen will enable you to change the URL of its linked screen wherever you want; this might be usefull to make a screen control room and change the URL from far.
Servers: Have you already tought about drinking some virtual beer, eat virtual food with your friends while watching a stream?
I suggest you Virtual Barcraft: http://www.virtualbarcraft.com
Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Common FAQ: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q: When I right-click my screen it says "You need Java 32 bits" or "Installation failed; please read FAQ."
A: Usually this happens because you don't use the default Minecraft launcher, or because you didn't select the Forge profile, or because you used the manual installation and it failed (then please use the installer). Else, please read what is in the next spoiler:
Start the Minecraft launcher. Check that the selected Profile is Forge and click on "Edit Profile".
In the "Java Settings" category, check "Executable" and in the text field put the path to your javaw.exe from your 32 bits Java ! Click Save profile and enjoy
To find your java 32bits path:
Usually it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe if this file can't be found, then open C:\Program Files (x86) if this directory doesn't exist, then you have a 32bit windows, just start the game. Go to the Java directory. If it doesn't exist or if there is no folders inside it, then please Install java 32 bits.
Now open the jreX folder or jdk1.X.Y_Z where X is at least 7 (can be higher but NOT lower. If it's lower, install java 7 32 bits). Open the bin folder. You have found you java 32 bits path. Copy it and past it in the "Executable" field, don't forget to add \javaw.exe after it.
Q: Where can I find my logs?
A: Minecraft logs can be found in the ForgeModLoader-client-0.log file that you can find in your %appdata%/.minecraft folder. You need to shut down minecraft to find this file!
Installer logs are generated in the WDI_x.y_Log.log file which is the same folder as the installer executable!
Q: MagicLauncher?
A: Magic Launcher is not supported. Please use the default original Minecraft launcher.
Q: It's says I need flash, or that Flash is not up-to-date.
A: Please download "Flash Player for other browser" from here. Select your operating system in Step 1, then select "Flash Player xx for Other Browser" (where xx can be any number) in Step 2, and then click "Download now" on the right. As well don't forget to install it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Other FAQ: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q: Why is your mod only available on Windows?
A: Well, the library I'm using to provide internet rendering, called Awesomium, is only available on Windows & Linux
Q: Now that I installed your mod, Minecraft says that I need a 64 bit Java Installation to set my render distance to "Far".
A: Yes, because my installer forces your Minecraft to run in 32 bits mode, because there are no 64 bits version of Awesomium.
Q: When I right click on the screen, nothing happens.
A: Check in the config file that the "create" option is set to false, or that the server you are playing on enables you to create web screens even if you are not OP. Else, there were a problem during the installation of the mod. Please send me your Minecraft log.
Q: I LAAAAAAAAG with your mod
A: Try a lower ppp (real Pixels Per minecraft Pixels) in your config file and check that anisotropicLevel is set to 0. You can increment update & render rates in your config file too.
Q: How can I change the home page / the language of the the browser:
A: You can do all that stuff in your config file in the misc category.
Q: I don't want to be allowed to craft screens / that you have to be OP to use screen:
A: Check your config file.
Q: Your installer tells me something about 32 bits / 64 bits java and bring me to the java download page
A: Yes. You need a 32 bit version of Java to run my mod. Simply follow the instructions given by my installer. I'm sorry about that.
Q: I want to put your mod in my mod pack:
A: Well, if it's a private server mod pack, be free. Else, please ask by sending me a PM.
Q: Now that I installed your mod, I can't allow more than 1 giga of ram to Minecraft.
A: Yes. This is because you need java 32 bits for my mod. This is horrible I know, but I have no way to fix that.
Q: MAC?
A: Maybe.
Q: Linux?
A: Coming very very soon.
Q: Fullscreen YouTube videos doesn't work
A: Yes. I'm not sure that I can fix this bug.

Awesome Mod
