It adds a "admin tool" item to your Creative inventory, which you can right-click on reinforced blocks with to show their owner and password. Usually good to leave it disabled unless you're on a server.

I have reason to believe it may be related to the camera breaking when the attached to block is destroyed "addition". Maybe we can find a way to disable that for now?
It happened when I clicked on a frame with a bound monitor. The frame briefly showed the scene from the camera then my client crashed. On restarting my client crashed straight away in the same place in the code. Thankfully I had a world save from before installing SecurityCraft to go back to.
Hmm... there seems to be some kind of incompatibility between SecurityCraft and BuildCraft. Try removing BuildCraft and tell me if you get a crash again.
Think you are right about the incompatibility. I have just tested the following:
1. Buildcraft installed, I setup a new camera/monitor/frame - no crash - however this time I was in a different location in the world
2. Moved to the location in the world where I previously experienced the crash
3. Setup another camera/monitor/frame -> crash
4. Removed buildcraft
5. Setup another camera/monitor/frame in exactly the same location as 3. -> no crash
I've tried doing that as well, but it STILL dosent work, even though the R key is now not red.
I've tried putting a redstone block behind, on, in front and under the camera, but it still dosent work. Prehaps the emitting is a WIP?
Try putting redstone under the block where the camera is placed and keep pressing R and quitting the monitor to see if it emits signal.
Well, with the new camera's, my Minecraft runs fine. No crashes yet.
But, the problem is is that when I hook up a camera to a monitor and right-click the SecurityCraft frame with the monitor, the frame dosent display the monitor's screen. My camera is properly hooked, because I can access it by right-clicking the air. But I cannot view the monitor using a SecurityCraft frame.
Does anyone have a fix to this? Its an awesome mod!
That's because you very likely don't have LookingGlass installed...

Any chance that FunkyLocomotion support gets added ? It'd be nice if I could watch what my quarry is up to.

Wow so WOW I wanna download this right now but P.s are there security cameras in le 1.8 version
Brady
Yes.
I have confirmed that this 1.8 version clears up the issue with Ultimate Unicorn. Everything seems to be working well in my tests thus far. Great job!

Thanks! I'll see what I can do.
When I press R I can't toggle redstone signal. Also the phrase is pink, am I doing something wrong? (Screenshot included)
I like this!

I don't know how to exit the camera monitor. The only way I could find was to exit and reopen the world. Please help!
Simply press left-shift to exit the camera.

My response won't be as straight-forward.
If you read the message carefully, it'll say that you were mounted to the camera. Now tell me, how would you dismount, say, a pig or horse?
Try putting redstone under the block where the camera is placed and keep pressing R and quitting the monitor to see if it emits signal.
Thanks it worked! But does the camera always need to be connected to redstone or can it emit a wireless signal?

Well this is now an Error:

I blame your mod if i have to delete my chunks...
Update SecurityCraft.
can you make a camera monitor that you don't have to go and connect a different camera or don't have to switch to a different camera monitor
