....er, why not just pull the source back down from your github repository? That's one of the advantages of using an offsite repository--it doesn't melt down when your computer does ;-)

The re-written sources are on the Github right now. That is the problem :P.
Here is the "official" gameplan, so to speak. The busy streak I have been in should be over now. So, this is what will happen:
-the Enhanced Books re-write will continue onward, adding some mod support along the way and making everything nicer. When it is back to where it was originally, I will release v1.8pre1 for MC 1.6.4. Yay!!
-v1.8.0 will be for MC 1.7.x, FYI
-that does come at a sacrifice, though- More Building Blocks will continue to be neglected until the disaster that will be the 1.7 port
Hopefully this answers some questions about how the mods are going right now. Feel free to ask any more questions while I have the time to answer them
So I am working on this mod pack of mine and am notifying all mod owners of the issues I am receiving so that I may use these mods.

hello, I wanted to give some suggestions for books, one suggestion is to merge the hollow book, and the book keeping levels
also what you can do instead is to merge them to create more different kinds of books, and each with a different utility for example:
1st book levels to exchange items easy to get for example 5xp = iron. 10XP = gold, 15XP = obsidian ...
2nd the same as the first but in reverse change objects by level, a diamond = 3xp iron = medium level or less ... (Very little to object level, because it would have 100 levels for iron stack)
3rd hollow book but functions as the ender chest hide an object from the other people and if it breaks the book does not go away content
4th I have no further ideas xD
ahhh and one more thing ... levels book this as it were a little uneven ... let's say I get a level and put it in the book and then get another level and put it in the book and so on, would come to 100 levels in less than an hour or half ... what I mean is that makes the book levels, function as another player and keep the same experience I did, I mean that to get to level 1 need 50 experience, 2 need 100 experience, and 3 need 300 experience, if I keep my experince that will be 100 and after it a level to save more because the book has 2.50 levels, not 3 levels
not if you understand me xD
sorry for my English and greetings xD
No problem! I get what you are saying just fine
The issue with the xp books is known, I am in the process of re-writing how the book handles experience to prevent that and various other exploits with them. It will also be able to store individual experience orbs once I am done.
Exchanging items for experience is an interesting idea, but I don't know if it has a place in a mod such as this. That seems like something that would be found in a more magical mod. But... if I do add it, I already know what it would be called- the Transmutation Tome. Aw, heck, I should make it so I can use that name :P.
An ender chest version of the hollow book would be a good idea; it would be interesting to see what people would think when pranked with it.
I will not merge the hollow book into the same item as the experience book; they are seperated for the sake of balance.
Thank you for your input!
Now, I was hoping to have a picture of the redone bookshelf here by now, but I have been swamped with schoolwork. Hopefully soon!
Hallo thar! I'm having some trouble installing both of these mods. I installed both of these mods as instructed, but More Building Blocks doesn't work. It doesn't show up in the mod list in-game, and the blocks don't show up in the item list in creative mode. In addition, Enhanced Books just crashes the game on launch. Can someone help me fix these problems?
since it looks like you're still unable to get your pc with the old sources back, i've been wondering, how about trying to deobfuscate the existing version, then fix the 1.6.2 names and reobfuscate it using 1.6.4?
unless of course the updated version is close enough to release that doing the above wouldn't have a point anymore.
Maybe... I could try that. I have been trying to learn more of the Forge API and have been unable to really work on any of my mods, for that matter. Winter break (for 2 weeks!) comes up starting this Friday, and I have a plan for how I will make everything work out just fine... I think :P. Only time will tell.
I was looking to see if you had plans to port Enhanced Books to 1.6.4, just to see that you're already hard at work there! So just let me say thank you very much for the hard work, and best of luck to you.
The xp level storage system it's a little cheat, may be it's intended, but it would really nice if we could change the system for xp points instead of xp level, you know, the needed xp points for higher levels are greater than lower ones.
This is a very nice mod zombiepig333! It does what it says: adds bookshelves that can actually hold books (I'm suprised this isn't in vanilla actually)
I have a suggestion though: A bookshelf that emits a redstone signal when a book is placed in a particular slot in the shelf. It would allow players to create some really cool secret doors and such.
Anyway, great mod! I look forward to seeing this updated

Bibliocraft has the redstone book that can be placed in the bookshelf and it emits a redstone signal depending on book location in the shelf. I'm currently running both mods, and they both work PRETTY well together, however XP book and Hollow book won't go into bibliocraft bookshelves like books from other mods do. I'm running 1.6.2. Otherwise, glad to see the mod back up and running! Great job!

Nope!
