Weird, I made a quick MultiMC instance to try this out, got that line about the FpsPlus non-mod file in my log, but enchanted stuff still seems to be reducing my FPS. I used the method of dropping the file in the mods folder and adding those startup arguments, by the way.
Does this mean I'm one of those unfortunate people who are unaffected by this? Oh well
Is there any other Forge-friendly way to remove the lag on enchanted items I could try?
I've been having a really weird problem... I'll load up minecraft and start it, but it crashes before a window even pops up. There is no crash report, and i have put in the parameters. I've been doing some testing and I've found that the crashing occurs when i remove the meta-inf from forge. Anyone know how to fix this?

try installing the mod in the mods folder instead of in the .jar still use the startup parameters though.

This seems only to make my FPS worse, it especially seems to make the enchanted item lag more noticeable. I appreciate your efforts but it doesn't seem to help me for whatever reason.
I'm guessing this only works for certain computers, much like Optifine?
Specs, in case you were wondering - Intel Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz, nVidia GeForce 9800 266 MB, 5GB 1067 MHz DDR3.
Yeah, some computers do not benefit from a less L2 cache intensive Sin\Cos implementation and others do. Although If you had any other mods going that could be a cause for enchanted items stilling lagging. Unless it was 1.7.2

In case you are wondering why we did not update MCP for more recent version than 1.7.2 - we will update for 1.7.6 once it's released.— Searge (@SeargeDP) April 1, 2014

Kinda late here, but nope, it was on the 1.6.4 version.
In the end I managed to make the enchantment lag go away anyway, by replacing one of the classes in my 1.6.4.jar. But then I noticed what happened with Thaumcraft 4 and gave up on it

Hmm that makes me think its not my mod, while granted the way I get rid of the item rendering glint is a bit "hacky" it should not lag more ( it should crash, spam errors, screw up textures etc), If you can run FpsPlusverD for 1.6.4 and run optifine and use their option for getting rid of enchanted items as there implementation is cleaner. I still think my FastMath has a few benefits overs Optifines.

Can you please attempt another beta for 1.7 with proper installation instructions.
Not until a stable mcp is released. My mod already has weird phantom bugs that are very hard to reproduce except on that computer, I've already run into problems with random in explainable crashes on beta 1.7.2 I will not update until a stable version is released and I my self can test it with out it crashing a few times.

What I wouldn't give for a "down vote" button for people who clearly didn't read any of the similar posts and the responses to them...

Then check the box for JVM Arguments and add them to that line:
Once saved, you can play with the new options in place.
