My computer sucks. Really, it only has 1.99 GB, so i shouldn't even be playing Minecraft, epically with my mods. FpsPlus helps a little, only 1-3 fps, and I was wondering what I could do to improve my performance besides FpsPlus, Optifne, removing mods, and buying something for my computer or buying a better computer. I play on 1.7.2 2 with ~26 mods. Hopefully this is the right forum to be posting this on. Please notify me if this is in the wrong place.
System properties:Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 3, Intel(R), Pentium(R), Dual CPU, T2370 @ 1.73GHz, 1.99 GB of Ram.

At this point, not much. If you're already playing on minium graphics, Razer Game Booster is probably your last hope. Also, you may try to prevent any unnecessary program to load on computer startup.
One last thing: Update to 1.8 as soon as you can. The performance boost is enormous.

Well, for starters, update to 1.8 (or 1.7.10 if your servers don't support 1.8 yet, that way you can keep optifine without waiting for an update). Helps with performance optimization (namely in the way of how chunks are loaded, adds VBO support, misc fps fixes), and of course gameplay additions. As for the system itself, there are a number of things you can do, though they will have varying results and your best bet is probably to get a new computer, or if you don't have the money you might be able to upgrade the GPU and the like, if you have a desktop (nowadays laptops don't offer much modularity for upgrades). You should start off by running CCleaner ('crap cleaner' is the literal meaning), cleans up unnecessary caches and such (and helps with overall system performance to boot). Then, you should ensure LWJGL is updated (since you use 1.7.2 which I don't think has the absolute latest version). Check your graphics control panel (if you have one) and make sure the settings are maxed for performance, not quality (which degrades performance). In addition, if you're not already running it (since Windows Vista was poison and Windows 7 was way better but isn't the greatest OS for low-end hardware), your processor has support for 64-bit architecture, so if you plan to upgrade memory past 3GB(which I believe is the 32-bit windows XP limit, it's typically 4GB but windows is written differently), you're going to need to upgrade to Windows XP 64-bit (or windows 7 64-bit if your system meets the requirements). You also COULD download Razer Game Booster, but I think it's unnecessary as it seems like it's much more bloated than it used to be, and can occasionally create small performance hits on some games. In addition, you should remove any mods that you don't ABSOLUTELY need, as mods can also reduce performance, especially if you have multiple mods with poor optimization. If you're on a laptop, you can also make sure your power settings are set to maximum performance instead of power saving, because power saving saves power by sacrificing overall performance (not sure if your rig has power settings, can't remember how XP handled it.)
@Waterposeiden - It looks like you have a laptop (T2370 processor). In your BIOS, if you have options for EIST, C1E, or SpeedStep, disable those. Then download ThrottleStop and make sure that both C1E and EIST are unchecked. That should help a bit.
There is also a 2nd alpha release of Optifine for Minecraft 1.8 now (OptiFine_1.8.0_HD_U_A2.jar).
I'm stuck with this in Minecraft 1.7.10. The problem is that I don't know how to install this mod correct for minecraft 1.7.10. I follow the instructions but when I launch minecraft launcher it does not work. Any tips how work with this version and any tips how work with the .fpslus folder?

IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME, I WOULD BE GLAD.
are you using the one that abadenz uploaded or the one that atomic uploaded? because if you are using the one that abadenz uploaded, then sadly, it is not compatible with forge

Paste these two arguments into the field: -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true
Make sure version is set to forge 1.7.10. Its most likeyly at the bottom of the list.
Save.
Run.
???
Profit!
Notice: If you are using OptiFine you must open the optionsof.txt file inside the minecraft directory and remove the line that says ofFastMath:false or true.

It doesn't seem like both abadenz's and AtomicStryker's uploads are benefiting my Minecraft.
I've tested this by putting only AtomicStryker's FPSPlus into my mods folder, then comparing the FPS. The same goes with abadenz's.
Anybody else noticing this?
P.S. Both versions don't show up in the mods list.
I'm pretty sure this mod doesn't work with the ShadersCore mod.

These may or may not help you:
1. Abadenz's version is not forge compatible
2. AtomicStrykers' is forge compatible
3. to install Abadenz's version, you must put all the class files in a vanilla jar
3. make sure you add the start up parameters
4. if you want AtomicStrykers' then just put the jar inside of your mods folder
5. if your running optifine, go to the "optionsof" txt document inside of your .minecraft and delete the line "FastMath=True/False"
6. add the starup parameters
7. don't install those two together
8. it's not really suppose to show up in the mod list.

Hello guys so i am making a modpack (it is going verry well) and i have been told by a few people that the modpack is awesome but laggy and i ended up finding this mod can anyone help me put this into a modpack for the technic launcher and how other modpacks have 120+ mods and run smoothly.
I tried this mod with 1.6.2 and i couldn't open minecraft. Like the launcher opened, but when I pressed the play button it would begin loading then stop. I tried changing the jar file, using magic launcher and putting it into the mod folder. All of them were tried with that parameter code the author supplied.
I then tried following in 1.6.4 and then minecraft would load. It would load and not have the "FPSplus+!" logo as seen near the end of the video. Further more, if I tried loading a world, sometimes the game would get stuck on the generating terrain screen. If not that, it would get stuck on the terrain screen when I was exiting and would not exit properly.
hi, i have a little question, does it works without forge or using optifine without forge? because forge have a little bug and you can´t use the beacon with forge installed, and i play on a server where i use so much beacons.

Update Forge. That bug was fixed a looooooong time ago.

Download that. Extract the FPSPlus jar file inside the zip
Download Forge 1.7.10 (Recommended or Latest it probably wont matter) from here: http://files.minecraftforge.net/
Install forge.
Go to your .minecraft directory
Make a mods folder if you don't have one already.
Drag and drop the jar file inside there.
Load the minecraft launcher
Edit the profile
Check Java Arguments.
