This mod boosts your FPS by changing math functions in Minecraft to be a faster. Originally based on FishTacos Fps++ but now goes further in optimization.Suggestions Welcome.
Before installing this mod:After installing this mod:(I let the game sit there for about 5 minutes each time)
FpsPlus+: Contains the version D, and a few fixes that can improve fps in certain scenarios.(Enchanted items lag fix, Reverted to the classic main menu, Enchanted armor lagging when wearing) FpsPlus version B: Uses Rivens SinHalf/CosHalf methods. {http://www.java-gami...?topic=29853.0} FpsPlus version C: Reworked the MathHelper class again. Seems to be more stable. FpsPlus version D: Uses Libgdx Sin/Cos methods. {https://github.com/l...MathUtils.java}
You must use the newest forge installers from http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and install the Forge profile. If you use OPTIFINE put Optifine.jar into the mods folder. Go to \AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions then select the folder which forge just installed. Then open up the Forge.jar in that folder with winzip/7zip and 1st: Delete META-INF 2nd: Open up the version of FpsPlus you downloaded with winzip/7zip and drag the class files into the .jar. THEN add these Start up parameters "-Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true" OR: you can load the mod with MagicLauncher. Its alot easier. Or you can just put it in the mods folder. All of them should work as long as you add the startup parameters.
Want to support me?:Buy me Minecraft and then pm me the code... I still haven't bought it:PP
If you are trying to make your server run better then the best thing you can do is use spigot http://www.spigotmc....about-spigot.3/ . Spigot is a highly optimised Bukkit server. If you run Forge then use http://www.mcportcen...hp?topic=5490.0 . Mcpc+ Is a Spigot and Forge combined so you can use Bukkit plugins and Forge mods seamlessly and have a extremely fast server.
You can add a few startup parameters that might make that game faster for you. "-server -XX:+AggressiveOpts -XX:+UseFastAccessorMethods" These may or may not work for you.

Thanks, there shouldn't be any bugs or problems, but its the first release so im sure one will show up somewhere.
I get 20+ FPS increase. Really awesome.
Get 40 / 50 FPS in a PC with a Intel Atom and a integrated Intel GMA 3150 card it's really the most awesome thing that I've never seen.
Thanks a lot.
Also, it's fully compatible with Optifine, ModLoader, CheatingEssentials, LumberJack, etc, etc

Thanks! yeah fps increases come down to your computer really on example i got around 12 fps boost but fluctuates more. So glad to hear it works really well:).

Notice the FPS + the holy lot of Chrome tabs open + a YT video (not playing, but Flash running)+ Forge MCP installation program running.
Really awesome.

Good to hear it. I will also make FpsPlus for any version of minecraft just needs to be requested and needs a bit of time.

Now let's a comparison, the same, but without this mod installed (Same mods as before but without FpsPlus.)
Ive updated OP with your images thanks, and its nice to see some good fps boosts, also how did you install the mod? I only ask because im not a fan of 1.6.2 and don't know what the recommended way of installing mods is anymore.

I use Magic Launcher.
Here you are:
But I have a normal launcher installation for some mods, like OldDays.

Ok good to know just wanted to make sure i gave the right directions
Right Directions? What means it?
Anyway, I get a bug, when MC try to render more than 10 entities (E: 10 rendered entities / x total entities in F3 screen), the FPS get screwed out and will drop to 15 - 8 FPS
(The most probably thing that this it's PC-Specific due to my crappy PC :))

Just wanted to make sure i gave the right directions to install the mod. That most likely is your computer, since this mod just edits 1 file and just changes the math in that one file, it shouldn't conflict with any mod. If you are on a server i would download and use spigot { http://www.spigotmc.org/ } instead of craftbukkit, its exactly the same as bukkit just alot faster. I would even say if you play single player that you should switch to spigot and just use that as single player, I do it sometimes and it saves me fps (a little bit) but just stops my computer from being really slow.

It could help, usually you will see big improvements if you have a dual core cpu and run spigot. but you are welcome to try. spigot is made to be as fast as it can be so it could help only thing is that it is based on bukkit. they also have a version for a forge server called MCPC+

Now I'm going to sleep (3:02 AM right here)
Tested the mod a while. It works perfectly fine for me
I went ahead and used a decompiler to verify that the mod does what the author says it does. As expected, it did not seem to change anything on my machine (it is sufficiently powerful). EDIT: Since it might be useful to some, my specs are 2.7Gz i7, 16GB RAM, NVidia GeForce GT 650M. I confine the Java VM to 4GB though.
I appreciate the efforts by the author to re-implement previous work for the purpose of being compatible with updates. However, ever since the original fishtaco release, I have been quite skeptical about the effectiveness of these mods. Rendering is by far the most intensive process, followed up by chunk loading (dependent on storage device and OS activity). It simply does not make sense that changing the sine and cosine functions can have a significant impact. I will admit that any difference that does happen to exist would more so be present in a significantly low power machine (likely with integrated GPU; e.g. netbooks).
I would like to see some proper benchmarking and testing at this point. How often are these functions actually being used in the game? Where are they being used? Are they relatively intensive at all in respect to the grand scheme of things? Just modify the code to include a counter for these function calls that prints to console every 10 seconds or similar. Instead of having users load up clients and claim "ZOMG 200% FPS BOOST", demonstrate that such an improvement is even possible due to this modification. Did you even test to see if your newly implemented functions actually are faster to a noticeable degree (not in Minecraft, but raw execution)?
Now let's a comparison, the same, but without this mod installed (Same mods as before but without FpsPlus.)
Edit: Now I see that the log it's here. But it doesn't matter. You can view the huge FPS difference
P.S: Tested and I get 25 - 48 FPS in practically all biomes. Excepting Tundra and Jungle, will be for obvious reasons
From your log, I can see that your game was in the process of saving chunks. You did not even give the game enough time to initialize everything. I suspect a lot of the difference you are seeing is exactly this. I suggest comparing more carefully.

Assuming you do not have an SDE, a Java Decompiler will allow you to read the code. Even though it is obfuscated, it is very straight forward.
Why did you bother to make this post? He will receive your message and see that you sent him one. No need to inform everyone else.
The fps increases are entirely dependent on the users machine, and yes changing around something like this wont give a big increase in fps (or maybe it will idk). I only get around 4fps increase but I get alot less stuttering when playing minecraft. I've only made this because I was updating fishtacos version and decided just to make my own. It would be nice to do some proper testing but honestly for such a small change, I wont be making time to test it. When I use the mod I get some fps and a lot less stuttering so that's all I need. It should help things a little bit but don't expect a Optfine or anything close to it. And it seems that most people who use the mod get some type of boost in fps.
