Rocket man: Knock-back fire projectile spell. Designed to set target on fire and send them flying.
Lift off: Similar to rocket man, but effects on the user and sets the ground around them on fire. Were going into space with this...
A Madman's gamble: Projectile spell that gives both the user and the target a strong slowness and blindness debuff as the clouds open up and lightning strikes the area around them both. After that, you had best hope your lucky...
These are only a few of the crazed ideas I've had. I would love a way to set spell traps, and I might have a few silly effects for spells in mind...

Am I right in that it takes at least two hits with a bound sword to get a Weak blood shard? That you need to apply the debuff before killing the mob not at the same time as? Because, if so, there might be a wee problem with enchanting the thing. You get Smite V on that thing, most mobs just die in one hit...
Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in for the spell system overhaul. One effect (like Fire or Ice) could be Death. As an offensive spell just does straight damage, maybe ignores armor or applies 2 seconds of Wither. As an environmental spell, converts grass, mycellium, etc. blocks into plain dirt blocks and destroys lillypads, tall grass, flowers, and leaf blocks (maybe wood blocks too, but converting trees to dead trunks and branches could be even more aesthetic) within whatever radius (could be buffed and modified as you said). I feel like a death effect for a spell would fit in nicely with the atmosphere of a system of blood magic.
To piggyback, I had a great idea for a new Sigil; the Sigil of death. Think of it as the spiritual counterpart to the Rite of the Green Grove; with this sigil active, it continually pulses death, turning grass to dirt and eventually sand (given enough time), trees to dead trees, water to sludge, etc.

Yes that's correct. I personally use enchanting plus to put looting 3 and nothing else on it. Actually, that just gave me an idea. Another spell that there could be (or ritual, for that matter) would apply the special weakness buff either within an area of the projectile (if spell) or within the area of the ritual (if ritual).
What about some sort of pipe or tunnel where you can transfer the energy from one Blood Altar to another, as long as they are connected. I'm sure you could have some sort of operating system where you could control whether it goes from Altar A to Altar B or vise versa.
Also, a Ritual of Propelling, to send a Blood Mage directly up. This could be a cheaper way to travel up a tower. Standing within a few blocks of the Master Ritual Stone would send anything straight up for so many blocks.
I've just made myself a Master Blood Orb (I've had the Tier 4 altar for ages but too many projects on the go, you know how it is). Is it not meant to be filled from a lower tier altar? I've got several altars set up, with lesser altars specialized in Self-sacrifice and Sacrifice pumping blood into a store-room for my largest altar, and I've found that I can fill my soul network via the Master Blood Orb in my Tier 4 altar, but not any of the lesser altars. Is this deliberate, or a bug?
Intended, as to prevent you "Skipping" stages if a friend gives you a higher tier orb. An orb needs an altar at an equal or higher tier to fill from it. Test for yourself, an apprentice orb can not fill from a T1 altar.

I'm a bit confused at the directions for upgrading an altar to the third tier. Are there runes under the pillars? If so, by my count that still only makes 24 runes, not the 28 stated in the post - each side is seven long, but each corner counts twice.

Nothing in the corners, no. The amount of runes also includes the 8 runes that were used to upgrade to a Tier 2 altar.

Ah, okay! Later tiers don't include the ones that came before, so it kind of threw me off. That distinction could possibly use some clarification in the OP.
Edit: would someone who already has a membership on the FTB wiki consider editing the Dagger of Sacrifice page? The Wiki page claims that it needs a whopping 30,000 LP to craft (well, whopping for a tier 2 altar), but the OP here says 3,000 and that's what my own experience seems to suggest.
i have 4 tier altar and master blood orb full 1 mill lp iv made bonde ritual it worked fine now iv made ritual of sommoning meteor it looks same as on pitcure i have awakend crystal and weak one iv tryed to activate that ritual but i cont do i maybe need 5 tier altar and best orb plz help i realy put alot of time in ritual making it took forever to colect all the stuff i needed and i was realy happy about summoning it
Remember, there are two part to summoning a meteor: Activation, and selection. You need to drop a stone, iron block, diamond, or a nether star to select the meteor you want to summon.

yes but my problem is i cont activate i dont see particles when i click with activation stone like i did when i was doing binding ritual and then i droped dimond sword i was thinking it works the same
It should, but try dropping an iron block anyway. You might not have noticed them.

Idea: Instead of upgrading your altar and making a new orb, why not make a rune of the orb and socket it into your altar? This would get you above the needed LP for the ritual.

You know, you'd be surprised how easy increasing the buffer of my altar was for me. I simply made a tier 5 altar, filled the bottom ring with dislocation runes, added a few liquid translocators and 36 resonant tanks. Done! Another point, did you know that SpitefulFox made a ThaumCraft 4 wand core using LP to generate Vis in his TC4 addon 'Forbidden Magic'? You probably do, huh?

When shift-right clicking to activate any of the bound items (sword, pickaxe) etc, any chance you can make a few sparks fly from the hand? Like, cosmetic stuff, but thought it would look awesome. Perhaps, also a little message at the bottom in chat, saying something like "come forth!" or "summon!". Just the little things in life (Edit (Again...): Still instant, just pops up)
A way to still use obsidian on a teir 3+ altar, instead of it changing to the inscription tool (unless I've missed something completely obvious)
Having a teir 3+ blood orb able to do teir 1 and 2 stuff. It's kind of annoying, having to run back and forth to get different orbs to make stuff for my altar. Unless you've made it that way. And once you have a tier 3+ orb, the 1 and 2 kind of become redundant after a while >_<
Sigil of destruction: A sigil that destroys the selected block, but the user doesnt get the block back? Sort of like the creative mode block destruction?
Bound Hoe: Exactly as it sounds. Perhaps has the pick's area of effect?
Enryuu/Rizen (Swords): Enryuu, the sword of fire. Might be created using a new ritual, and causes fire damage when used? Same as the bound sword in terms of damage, but perhaps a little faster? Rizen, the sword of thunder. Same as the Enryuu, but with lightning. Perhaps, a little weaker but faster? Maybe you could make it so that they can get speed/damage enhancements?
Oni Orb: An orb that could be used to create Enryuu and Rizen? Might be created through a new ritual, and then it's spawned? Perhaps created through the use of several demon blood shards and some alchemical powders? It could use the owners blood pool to change to one of the swords (perhaps an attachment to the current bound armor?). You could make it one for each sword, and the ritual for each is different? Perhaps created at the 4th tier, or the 5th? (Onimusha, anyone?)
Bound Arrow/bow. Pretty straight forward. Exactly as it sounds. Made the same as the bound weapons?. Does alot more damage than the current bow. The arrows could be made the same way. perhaps, 1 in 4 out?
Demon Arrow/bow: An upgrade to the bound bow/arrow. Perhaps transmuted using a demon blood shard?
A new weak ritual that forces it from night to day? Perhaps created with a block of gold? Works well if you cant get to bed, or have too many mobs around (my case).
Blood bag: An enderchest like bag, that connects to the OWNERS Blood chest? Red. Looks cool. . Perhaps created by sticking a normal bag in a tier 3 altar?
Blood Chest: A larger normal chest that has enderchest like properties. Perhaps created by sticking a chest in a tier 2+ altar?
Bag: A standard white bag that acts like a portable chest. Created using string and an a blank slate?
Sigil of Death: A sigil that sends out your LP as damage, damaging any entity in a radius? Could be quite costly.
Sigil of Life: Opposite of the sigil of death. Heals any entity in a radius (except the current user)? Could exempt enemy mobs, or make it a server sigil only and have it heal everything?
Blood barrier? Could be set up using a new block? Perhaps could set up a blood force-field, killing any enemy mobs inside, and keeping them out? Made at a tier 4/5 altar?
Blood Doors/wood: exactly as it sounds. looks blood red? Created by putting wooden planks in a level 1+ altar? Blood door created like a normal door in the crafting table with blood wood? The blood wood might give the altar special properties?
Porta-stove: A portable furnace, that uses blood to cook? Perhaps created at a level 2 altar with a furnace?A ritual for a portal to the demon realm? Instead of summoning them to this world, sends the player to a nether-like place, but the mobs are the demons? Gets different items there?
Sigil of the alchemist: A sigil that increases the chances of an effect being put into a potion? Could have a slot added into the potion stand to put the sigil? Every time a potion is made, the sigil activates if its in the alchemical stand? If its not, well it doesn't activate?
Bloody Slimes (yes, they are): A slime that has a large quantity of blood inside? Perfect for sacrificing? A natural mob? Perhaps spawned by a new ritual?
Iced coffee: has absolutely nothing to do with blood. Just might be a nice addition. Perhaps created the same way as a potion? Gives a temporary haste boost? Perhaps a temporary sigil of haste? Maybe it needs blood to activate? Or, when in use, starts to take the users LP?
that's all I can think of for now, undoubtedly I'll think of more (Edit: I'm adding them as I think of them. This is what, my third update? I don't know how much of this stuff you've already thought of, or if it's already been posted, but hey, never hurts to write it myself)Really looking forward to whatever you put in the next update. Remember, there are two part to summoning a meteor: Activation, and selection. You need to drop a stone, iron block, diamond, or a nether star to select the meteor you want to summon.
