So... if I want to use a specialized will type for my sentient equipment... how do I get large amounts of it?
Enemies only seem to drop Raw Will.
So I need to... collect huge amounts of Raw Will, burn it in a Crucible, hope my Crystallizers produce four crystals of the type I want, make a crystal cluster, then... keep the chunk flooded with 100 raw will, and wait a week?
Then tune a tartaric gem to the appropriate will type, stick it in a hellfire forge, burn all the specialized will crystals to fill it in the forge...
Then what?
It costs small amounts of will to attack with a sentient sword, and even if I'm using a Destructive Will sword, enemies only drop Raw Will, so I'm filling my Raw gem... and at some point my Raw Will stock will outstrip my Destructive Will and I'll have to go back to crystal farming?
Planting the crystals is hopeless -- I've had them stewing for a very long time with no sign of growth. What I eventually did was set up four crystallizers, and knock raw crystals off them until each crystallizer was growing one of the four types. Then the clusters will grow off raw will, and you can right-click them to harvest the growth. (Note: the clusters won't change immediately when you take crystals, but they will later revert to the single-spire form.)
At this point you can feed most of your raw-crystal stock into a tartaric gem, and refill or swap out that as you collect raw will.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
Never mind the posts about the book, found the recipe by watching the dev commentaries. (though the recipe is not showing in JEI)
One thing I feel should be brought to attention (if it hasn't been already), is that the sentient weapons once given agency, will attack any other nearby players. regardless of whether they attack me or not.
I just started it on the pack i play (hermitcraft) so started to use the sacrificial dagger but now every time i right click with the sacrificial dagger i got soul fray for 20 second and it pump all my life and let me at 1 hearth. It's normal ? Why it happen ?
Oh ok thanks, i'm really lost with this mod lol i hope the wiki will help me enough
It really will help to read through the in-game book -- and when you upgrade, look for new pages. When you're waiting out the night in a shelter is a good time to review the manual. Also, poking around in JEI/NEI can turn things up -- I just learned about Will Stone and Demon Eyes, which are otherwise undocumented. (It's also a good way to check "what is this good for"?)

Hey, WayOfTime,
I'm playing FTB Direwolf20 1.10 pack.
I'm doing the ritual of the falling tower (ore meteor) ritual. I've looked through this forum etc. Is the iron block the only meteor currently implemented.
I've tried tossing into the master ritual stone a gold block, diamond block, a diamond, a nether star, but the only thing that works is an iron block.
Was hoping the nether one would work for the resources I need.
Please clarify for me thank you! Awesome mod btw love the Living Armor and can't wait for my favorite sigil the Whirlwind get implemented I miss it.

Thank you! Just saw it in the code. Hopefully Nether star gets put back in for the nether quarts. I love automating the harvesting of the meteors. Thanks again.

Life if you give me one more batch of lemon i'm going to get a hammer beat them poor the juice into some water guns and squirt them in yours eyes.
Daniel5143, I am fairly certain that Blood Magic is free to use in a modpack, maybe double check with WayOfTime or TehNut next time they're on though. On another note, every time I try to type modpack it changes it to mudpack, I always have to fix it myself. For being so smart computers are still surprisingly dumb. lol

I hope someday there's more magic in Minecraft, though I know it's not likely to happen. In the meantime, I play modded a lot. I enjoy a lot of other games too, so don't expect me to be on the forums all the time.

I have an idea, or a concept really. Bear with me if it isn't good and be sure to criticize and issues with it brutally. So here it goes.
Flesh Magic
Flesh Magic would be a sub-form of blood magic which utilizes liquid life essence to run biological constructs which would perform various tasks for the player through a vast interconnected system that the player could physically "plug into" in order to directly manipulate said devices. All of these things would be physical, flesh based constructs that mimic parts of the human/animal body in both function and appearance. This would all be powered by liquid blood, which would be transported through the use of literal veins, arteries, and hearts to where they are needed.
Devices
All Flesh Magic devices cost pure life essence in creation, often in mid-large amounts. They would be placed directly into the world through the use of a special device called a Carnem (Appears as fleshy staff like tool, with a blinking eye adorning the top.)
Mentis-
A brain-like terminal that the player would physically enter in order to view, manipulate, and configure their Flesh Magic system.
Veins/Arteries-
These are what would transfer the liquid blood to any and all devices, They would appear as literal veins, branching across whatever surface they are present on until connecting to their destination point.
Hearts-
Veins cannot move blood on their own and would require a heart the flow. These act in similar manner to redstone repeaters but going in all directions.
Oculus-
When tapped into the system one can use the oculus as a sort of camera. It takes on the appearance of an eye, and may be placed on the floor, wall, or ceiling. It will also provide an alert if any movement besides it's creator is detected.
Gulge-
A stomach-like device with a toothy mouth on top which acts as a sort of chest, you can place an incredibly large amount of items in it, but this will cause it to slowly take up more space and require more blood to keep intact. If it has too many items and not enough blood it will explode in a poisonous acidic bile. Any who are not the creator of a Gulge will be bitten by it upon use. Causing significant damage.
Flesh Blocks-
These simply require veins with blood in them to maintain, with no actual blood cost. They act as blocks that will regenerate as a player is trying to break them, owner not withstanding. They also act as a surface that other devices may/must be placed on. Veins may travel through these blocks without difficulty.
Hungers-
Mouthed snake like tentacles that may be placed on flesh blocks. They will attack any unknown mobs/players that cross it's path. They do not cost blood to maintain, but when killed they become dormant and blood will need to be provided for them to awaken again after a certain time period. Any damage they deal however is added to the system.
Nips-
Spikes which come out of flesh blocks to stab foreign entities, collecting blood for use in the system.
Leach Hive-
Orifices present in the flesh walls which for a blood cost breed small parasitic worms which attack any unknown mobs/players. Collecting blood and bringing it back for use in the system.
Grippers-
Hidden mouths one may place on floors of flesh, with finger like teeth that trap a mob or player temporarily and drink of its blood.
Negares-
Spikes placed on the floor, walls and ceiling which retract into flesh to allow access to their creator and their creator alone.
Consumer-
Large mouths placed in flesh structures that creatures can be thrown into to add liquid blood directly to the system. (Think Sarlaccs from Star Wars)
Edit:
Carnal Beasts
Creatures you may create to serve you, they must be on flesh blocks to survive.
Epulone-
Small ghoulish diseased creatures that will try to eat the flesh of any foreign entities.
Manducare-
Spider like beasts that will whip tendrils at any foe, walking on finger-esq appendages
Malum-
Monsters of hulking muscle and boney spikes.
Ventus-
Bat like creatures made from ribs and spines that can hide in flesh blocks much like silverfish.

I like! You could end up with your own living or half-living castle. There should also be flesh golems or other mobile creatures, for both defense and utility.

Dude, if this doesn't make it into BM someone needs to do an addon. 10/10
Edit: and I totally agree that there need to be mobile parts, at least in the form of an arm that can reach out and do a fake-player right click on things.

You can craft it with a book, glass block and feather.
Creator of Blood Arsenal and Sleep! Contributor to Blood Magic!
thank you, it doesnt show a recipe in JEI for me.
Does anyone know where is his modpack permission please and thank you.

It sounds neat, but I think it's out of scope of the base mod. Would definitely like to see it as an addon, though!
In other news, the Blood Tanks are finally being implemented.
