Did you right-click the spell table? Also, that Keep Inventory bug is fixed in a later version, due to some other issues that came up.
I already Right Clicked the Spell table and the tooltip appeared about the coords and dimension but when I tried using it nothing happens, Already tried Relogging and Redoing the spell crafting but this still happens
The spell table needs to have the head on top and the blood altar in front of it containing an item. Looking at your screen shot, the second one (the right one) doesn't seem to have an items.

Both of them has a Head and an Item the first one has Glowstone Dust and the second one has a ghast tear and it is the only one that is working for me
I found out the fix, deleting the Unbound Crystal and Replacing it with a new Crystal with NEI and right clicking the Spell table makes it set the coords and effects. But still right clicking on the Head removes the coords and effect.

Hmmm. Don't know why a head removes it. I'll test it out, and see if I can provide an accurate fix.

Just curious, but is it intended that recipes using blood orbs consume the blood orb? Using 1.6.4 ATM.
If so, might I suggest otherwise? It's painful enough to craft a new Weak Blood Orb, I don't look forward to using anything higher.

Well, most of the stuff is supposed to be a gradual process. All items, although they are a bit expensive, are very very strong. The reason for having to use the orbs makes the player have to meticulously craft their altar how they want it, and because of that they can't simply have an altar for every need right off the bat. You pay with your blood, basically.
Is it a bit Draconian? Yeah, probably. Is it something that you can just jump into and be a master at? Maybe not. The blood costs can be adverted if you set up near a mob spawner or 3 with a Dagger of Sacrifice. The item costs can be mitigated by not just focussing on the mod. I know it is painful, but I do feel that the costs are justified currently considering the utility of all of the items that you obtain. And no, I am not just talking about this as the creater of the mod, but also as a user (just managed to complete a 3rd tier altar and make a Magician's Blood Orb! \o/). Some of the costs will be tweaked, but the orbs will still be used in the crafting.
If you have any suggestions about some of the stuff, I would be glad to debate them with you. I'm not a stone wall like some modders, so feel free!

I mostly meant the material costs are a bit high for the blood orbs if they can only be used in one crafting recipe before vanishing.

Ah, Idea! Maybe, instead of the blood orb being used up (for example, when I make basic blood runes) it instead drains 10,000 LP from the blood orb.

Well... apart from that being horrendous with normal crafting... What I was thinking was that once you have a 2nd tier altar, you could perhaps use a lower ingredient or something for those orbs. The better, upgraded runes however SHOULD cost the amount currently, I feel, because it is rather... necessary to properly gate the tiers.
However, as a counter argument to that, I suppose that the main "gating" of the altars come from the needed blood for the next orb. But, you should need to use the orb to craft the stuff.
I don't think the 10K LP cost would be good (the weak blood orb has only 5k anyways), and otherwise it still is problematic. I'm open to suggestions (using a gold ingot maybe instead of a diamond once you are 2nd tier, but upping the blood cost to 3k), but using the orbs should still remain.

Hm. Maybe if you had to have at least as much LP as the orb cost to infuse, it wouldn't be consumed but would instead drain that much LP from your network.I just find it crazy that the second tier for the altar needs 8 diamonds. Actually, every tier costs in diamonds. More and more. Every orb being used when you craft things is kind of crazy to me, I guess, because they aren't exactly in my mind, fragile. I mean, they're magical. And filled with blood.Though yeah, the idea to discount the recipe depending on what tier you have makes sense too. Assuming each tier you unlock makes all previous tiers cheaper.I'd honestly make the weak blood orb use a ender pearl, but that's used for one of the spell sets. Maybe a slime ball? No, too easy to farm. Maybe a cheap recipe for the weak orb could be a slime ball, but not the first tier...Ugh, I just wish I knew that they would be consumed when I first crafted some blood runes. I was ready to craft a bunch of blood runes, enough for my T2 altar. Orb vanishes. Also they don't stack, so crafting anything you use them for is a right pain even when you aren't poor.I guess using a diamond for the T1 Orb just irks me. For something you'll need tons of to get anywhere in the mod, diamonds seems a bit much to me. Plus, blood orbs don't stack.Maybe the blood rune shouldn't use the T1 Orb? Something expendable but not as costly. Blocks of Redstone, maybe? Nether quartz?Actually, Nether Quartz would make sense to me.

I have a couple questions about upgrading the alter.
1. How do you know when your altar is at a given tier (like say tier 3)?
2. How many Stone Brick Blocks are needed to make the tier 3 and tier 4 pillars? I'm asking because the picture doesn't show if there is a Stone Brick Block on the same level (Y axis) as the runes or if another block is there instead.
If I have anymore questions, I'll try to update this post if I can. Thanks.

Hey there,
1. The Altar doesn't visibly change it's shape or colour, but you can determine what level it is at by throwing in an item that can get transmuted at the given tier. Say, a gold block at tier 3. It might be a good idea if I add the ability for the Divination Sigil to tell what tier it is at by clicking on it, now that you mention it. May avoid future confusion.
2. A good rule of thumb that I follow is to never have any blocks hidden by other blocks. So, for the 3rd tier altar this would mean that it is 2 stone brick blocks per pillar, and the 4th tier is 4 per pillar. In fact, I can confirm these numbers via my source. So, no stone brick blocks on the same Y axis as the runes of the given level.
Thanks for your questions!
So, to the earlier discussion, without a huge change to the mechanics of the mod and upgrade system, what I think I'll do is have the Blood Runes output 4 runes per Weak Blood Orb instead of 2 each, and have the upgrade runes (speed and efficiency, specifically) require 2 runes. This will allow you to have the bare-bones altar if you so wish, but have the same cost if you want to later upgrade the altar. I should probably do a similar thing with the ritual stones (double it to 8 compared to the original 4 per Apprentice Blood Orb).
The reason I want to keep the costs of the Sigils themselves intact is because all of the items are very, very powerful. Even if it does cost a diamond for infinite water/lava ... well, it's infinite water in a convenient form. I'm not sure about you, but having that cost anything lower might be a little cheap. Sure, the cost of blood is a good way to balance it, but it cannot be the only way otherwise it cheapens the initial accomplishment of getting the item.
(Also, as a side-bar, diamonds are not as rare in modded minecraft as they are in Vanilla, so there is also that to consider.)

Huh, thank you for bringing that to my attention. I had a similar problem, but for some reason was looking at the wrong place. I was looking for the tile snow, not the snow block. This is now fixed in v0.5.1b for 1.6.2. Because of some stuff I want to add for 1.6.4, that update will be a bit later.

Might I suggest allowing for an increased LP buffer within the alter as it is upgraded. Early on the 10,000LP was plenty but it quickly became very difficult to continually offer mobs. Or maybe a rune that increases the buffer. Love the mod, very balanced having a fantastic time playing it so far, very good work!

Yeah, this is actually a good idea. The only two things I would have to balance it against is the difficulty I want each orb to take (done so by having such a small buffer in the first place) and how much each of said rune should give. Having a rune that rivals the Sacrifice runes in usefulness is something that isn't done nearly as well from the Speed and Efficiency rune. So, if we were to have the player choose between a larger buffer or more efficient sacrificing, it would be down to the player to figure out what they REALLY want.
Add to this a rune that will increase the capacity of a Blood Orb while you are filling it, and then we have something that can get really interesting. +1-2% per would go a looong way, especially on the Arch Mage's Blood Orb.
I think a good starting number per rune would be maybe +2.5% capacity per, perhaps+5%. We'll probably want it also to be 3rd or 4th tier, because otherwise it would almost make no sense. Perhaps require alchemy...?

i would put it at 3rd tier, alchemy would be a great way to balance it, 2.5% seems like a great number, that way max you hit like 80% increase, but at the cost of all other runes, this would slightly ease the transition between those pesky tiers like from 3-4, getting into tier 3 isnt so bad, but i think tier 4 transition should be slightly eased, maybe make it use an apprentice or a magicians orb to make? along with some alchemical reagents
Me again and I have 2 more questions and a comment about something I noticed when using the Runes of Self Sacrifice.
Q1 - What are the "Black" blocks used in the Ritual Stone and Master Ritual Stone recipes? I can't tell if it is Obsidian or Blocks of Coal.
Q2 - How much LP does it take to MAKE the Elemental Inks? (not use, make) It doesn't say in the OP.
Now on to what I noticed about the Runes of Self Sacrifice. I placed the runes when modifying my 2nd tier altar and noticed that they don't immediately give a boost to LP gained. It takes like 10 seconds (estimate) for the effect to apply. Is it suppose to be that way?

The reason it takes so long to apply is so that the Blood Altar does not have to constantly check if any of the runes have changed. The higher the altar, the more intensive this would be. Thus, just waiting the 10 seconds is a minimal task.
Onto the questions: I don't use coal blocks, so it's obsidian. Worse comes to worst, you can check the recipe through NEI, or try both sets.
Second, it takes such a minimal amount of LP at that stage that I didn't think it was worth a mention. 1K LP is all it needs!
