All downloads for the 1.8 version of the mod were removed due to their very incomplete state. The MCF list is not maintained by modders so I don't bother with it. Use NotEnoughMods in the future.
Back again, and as you might expect it's another Symmetry of the Omega issue. I followed a chamber-building tutorial someone made with the glyphs after they spent about six hours testing how they worked (because frankly I can't make heads or tails of them), and I've finally gotten it to where an activation stone will actually get the silly ritual to activate.
There's only one problem: when it activates it takes the huge LP cost and all, and the result of it? Absolutely nothing happens. Nothing comes out of the belljars, the Bound Armor I'm wearing doesn't change, nada. The ritual isn't blacklisted and I very clearly have a setup that can activate it so... What's going on?

I was on the roof of my house, had just come from a mountain testing the Air Sigil. Wondered wat would happen if I used it straight up, obviously flew upwards and ridiculously fell on the spot to my death. I just had my inventory items (I think some sigils like water and lava as well as carrots, maybe iron ingots, my blood orb, wood and I don't recall anything else particularly, besides my iron armor). Is this error due to an item glitch? I'm at a loss honestly, don't know what to do.
Well, I really don't know what happened. Restarted my computer a few times and suddenly the world was working again. I even collected all the items I had lost when I died, no problem whatsoever, and neither since. Thanks for the help, anyways!
Hello everyone! I've been having a lot of fun with Blood Magic recently, but I recently stumbled across an irritating issue with two of the sigils; the Whirlwind and Haste sigils. Both of them crash my game upon activation. Each save will continue to crash on load while the sigil is active in the inventory. Log: http://pastebin.com/Fu1Z6mXT
This is in a relatively small modpack, with utility mods alongside Blood Magic, Thaumcraft, Botania, OpenBlocks, Witchery, and Ars Magica 2. Blood Magic is up-to-date (1.3.3-17 for MC 1.7.10).
There are no potion ID conflicts that I know of, but the error appears to have something to do with the potion effects those sigils apply. All other obtainable sigils work spendidly, including those that apply vanilla potion effects. Soul Fray works correctly.
I've looked through the logs but I'm not particularly java-literate. Anyone willing to help me out?

Whirlwind is 149; can't tell which potion Haste is suppored to apply but the rest span from 135 to 150, with the exception fo Soul Harden and Soul Fray at 115-116. I think I might see what you're getting at; can BM handle potion IDs over 127?
Edit: after futher investigation, the potion ids were the issue! I installed a potion id extender and it all functions correctly.

Out of curiosity, what potion extender? I have DragonAPI because of Reika's mods, which extends the potion array, plus I think another mod does it as well (I think Witchery?)

One simply called Extended Potions. All it does is extend the potion arry; in limited (20m) testing, no trouble so far. I haven't tried Dragon API.
Witchery specifically and adamantly does not use extended potion ids. I've put it under 127 just to be safe.

I'm having the weirdest issue with Blood Magic on a friends server, where rituals just don't work properly at most times. I first noticed this with my Well of Suffering, which will at times let mobs sit for a minute at a time without dealing them a single tick of damage. It does occasionally kick back in, but there's a lot of downtime involved, and it'll still be slower than usual. I recently noticed that the WoS isn't the only ritual affected, either. I wanted to use a dome of suppression to do some building underwater, but the water just comes back a second after activating the ritual. While all this is happening, rituals also do not show the red particles they should on the Master Ritual Stone. They do sometimes randomly show up for a bit, at which point the rituals will be working as intended (for maybe a minut if I'm lucky).
Any ideas what could be causing this issue? Any troubleshooting steps for me to take? Anthing at all would be of help because I'm seriously dumbfounded by this.

Er...how is this an error due to an item glitch?

What IDs do you have the potion IDs set to?

Do you have enough LP in your network?

Pretty sure I do, there's around 2 million in there at this point.
Is doDaylightCycle() on? If it is, it causes the world time to not increase and things such as altars and rituals will fail to operate properly

Welp, that explains it. Our server is using command blocks to make a full day night cycle take 2 hours.
Just letting everybody know that the first release of the 1.8.(8/9) alpha was released about 2 hours ago.
Any chance of there being an official or otherwise texture pack for 1.7.10, with the new 1.8 textures? They're so pretty.
