Bit of a catch 22?
Still not seeing how you can have 43 animals (minimum) all within 1 block of the altar lol. Is there some quantum physics mod I need to use for this?
*edit. If anybody has a video of them crafting the magicians blood orb could you kindly post it I just checked on youtube and the only thing I could find was somebody failing at it.
Minecraft:
That's how.
I personally have a full self sacrifice setup with a few potions of instant health.

Question not the mad-mans ways, for you may begin to see logic in his actions, then find yourself mad as well.
You may call me The Madman, as there is no name that suits me better.
I happen to make modded survival maps, if your interested see my latest: The Asylum
Here is it using self-sacrifice runes (set to show at the right time):
I prefer self sacrifice before the ability to make rituals, to do it with sacrifice runes you might want to have some way of feeding animals towards you, mfr conveyor belts, openblocks fans etc.
Thanks Ako. Im actually guy who commented on your video regarding this today
Will take your advice and hook up all the self-sacrifice runes, then perhaps get some ars magica regen going.

To feed my altar I'm using Enh Portals 3 portals the input is at the base of my rather excessive cursed earth spawner (20x20x4 layers) and I can swap the output between the grinder room and dropping them directly ontop of the altar block itself (or as a safety cutoff I can disable the portals and give them a nice lava bath). Where I can cheerfully whale on them with the dagger of sacrifice (or once I build it, ignore them and let the ritual of suffering do the work).
Hey, guys! I've heard some complaints that the opening post is not that... organized. So what I propose is that those well versed in the mod take a little bit of time here and there to add onto a wiki for the mod. To make it extra easy, what we'll do is use the FTB's section of the mod, found here: http://ftbwiki.org/Blood_Magic
I will also work on the wiki now and again, however I feel that the more people that help the better the information will be!

I've encountered a bit of a problem, I tried summoning the earth elemental and this happened:
[Minecraft-Server] Wrong location! EntityEarthElemental['entity.AWWayofTime.EarthElemental.name'/87, l='Fiend Domain', x=-Infinity, y=-Infinity, z=Infinity]
Also I'll see if i can help out with the wiki as well

Alright, I have risen to the challenge.
What I have added( So far)
An alchemy page(Needs more info, but will work for now)
All of the blood orbs
Blood altar page
Rune page(Crafting recipes and all)
Alchemical chemistry set page
Alchemy page
Ritual page(Every Rite and ritual. And pictures. And I created a "Grand Ritual" Tier to make sure people know which need an awakened activation crystal)
A binding page
All the sigils(They still need crafting recipes)
Teleposer page
Spell system page
Mostly pictures and info that was Copy-pasted from the OP, but what else do you expect?
Now then, I need a soda after all this...
Edit:Most of my pages will need some changes from someone who actually knows what there doing and how to write wiki pages. I don't think I did too badly for a first timer.
I've been adding as well, Hopefully by the time i'm done all the reagents, catalysts, etc...will be finished.
Two things i've come across that i could use a bit of clarification on.
1. What exactly is the "element" of crepitous? I put grinding and rasping.
2. Is Incendium supposed to be able to be made with a weak blood orb? I tested all of them and they all seem to require an Apprentice Orb except that one.
Kinda wondering, is the Water Elemental meant to hit you through Bound Armor with a Water Sigil in it?
Elementals have been given a few extra abilities. While the effect "Drowning" will not affect someone with the water sigil upgrade, the effect on the Elemental called "Reciprocation" will. This buff reflects damage, so you better be careful!

Alright, thanks. I've tried the Fire and Holy Elemental, and neither of them were able to kill me, which is why I was wondering.

Crepitous means "explosion," so if you think that's an element feel free to add it!
Um, it shouldn't... I'll check the code in a bit.

Alright, I have the wiki looking nicer. My current pride and joy is http://ftbwiki.org/Ritual. (Please look at it, as it took a long time to make. And it looks nice.)

I have a couple of noob-ish questions that I was hoping for some direction on. I've setup a small alter (tier 3) in a tucked away corner (Blood Magic makes the natives restless), but I don't know if I have done it correctly. The first post doesn't mention if all of the non-rune blocks were needed, or had to at least be of the same type.
The black lava blocks are actually Netherbrick after being had at with the Chisel mod.
The half-slabs are courtesy of the Project: Red mod.
Secondly, when mousing over my weak blood orb it is not telling me how much is stored in it (like the screenshots in this thread do). Instead, all it tells me is that I am the current owner. Is there a way to tell how much is stored in it? And in the alter for that matter?
And last, my fluiducts don't appear to want to pull from or push to the alter any longer. It did work when I had a tier 1 setup (which is why the portable tank has a bit of fluid in it), but not any longer. I can push and pull from the tank into the fluiducts themselves, but no interaction appears to take place with the alter. Might someone have an idea of what is happening?
This is all on a multi-player FtB Monster server (v1.0.3 with Blood Magic v0.7.0a and Thermal Expansion 3.0.0.0).

Hey!
You were probably looking at some older pictures. To tell how much you have in your Soul Network and in the altar, you have to craft a Divination Sigil.
Also, the issue with fluids in a blood altar are fixed with Blood Magic v0.7.2, so if you would like to have that working I'd suggest upgrading your instance with it. Also, look up the Runes of Dislocation, to pump in and out faster!

Given that FtB Monster itself is still technically a beta test pack, a need for a version update doesn't surprise me at all. Will mention it to the server host.
And thank you for the heads-up on the Divination Sigil. Finding a reliable source of information has been a bit harder than usual, likely due to this being such a new mod that is currently under heavy development (not bad things in my mind!).
Update: Well, that and I need to learn to read more than the first few entries before getting frustrated. *sigh*

O-kay. This is weird.
I updated from 7.0c to 7.2 and now my blood altar glunk-glunk-glunk drains over time. Is that supposed to be happening? I can't find any mention of it in here.
Also, leads are lost when animals are sacrificed. May wanna fix that.

It's a vanilla minecraft bug, I was telling the guy who had trouble keeping enough leads so he couldn't complain anymore.
