There wasn't, but that's a good idea I think people can already if you dig into the MyTown code some and find the correct functions, but it would be a little tedious probably.
I am also thinking about changing ForgePerms into a permission, chat, and economy system instead of just permissions. Central location for everything is always nice. The question then is, what should I rename it to?
I'm not sure I understand how forgepermscbbridge works. I have forgeperms /w pex, vault, and forgepermscbbridge installed. Should the permissions I set with forge pex be visible on the bukkit side? I'm trying to use 'ontime' to autopromote players, but it keeps coming up with the error group <x> not defined in SuperPerms. Does the bridge only work one way? Meaning do I have to use pex for bukkit? Many thanks for whoever can clear this up for me.
If your running a Bukkic/MCPC+ server ForgePermsCBBridge just lets MyTown (and any other mods that use ForgePerms) to acces Bukkit permission plugins. Basically, use ForgePerms without PEX, then vault, the bridge, and a Bukkit permission system of your choice in the plugins folder like usual. Then configure the Bukkit permission plugin. I haven't found a clean way to use SuperPerms inside of Forge PEX, so it only goes one way currently.
That's not a bad idea, I think that would work well. Now I just need to figure out how in the world I am going to make it so item based and currency based economies can share the same API. I have some of it done, but i'm not 100% satisfied yet.
I think MytownBridge would work. Dynmap has its own bridge and just calls it DynmapCBBridge, I assume the CB is for Craftbukkit, but its not really needed. I think keeping it simple works best with something like MyTownBridge, as that is basically what it is and does, bridges forge and the Bukkit system.
The MyTown essentials does sound nice, but I can already see the confusion people will have with all the essentials plugins and either thinking they are needed or it is only needed if you have essentials, etc.

Also, just a quick question, I am not sure if I can easily re-implement the right-click to confirm when you run certain commands (/t new, /spawn, /home, /sethome, etc) would anyone be upset if I remove that feature and either make a command to confirm it, or make it not require a confirmation? I will try and add it in, but its up to all of you to chose
I would agree, I never new such a feature was there in the first place, and it seems a bit pointless as it is not like this is a map editing utility or such where accidentally running the wrong command can wipe out chunks or something.
If you do want to re-enable it, just make it command line, though I would make it configurable, such as confirms: true/false.
I would only see it really being needed for town/nation deletion though, and I am pretty sure we have those already other than that, I think it would get annoying depending on how many commands have it. I defiantly would not want to have to confirm each time I claim a plot or change a perm.
Suggestion, anyway to add an entity off perm in the town/plot permissions setup like the mobsoff perm? It is nice that I can keep creepers out of my spawn, but it is being overrun with cows and sheep currently.

aPerf will take care of that.
By the way Lego, you should release aPerf without the PacketLimiter feature. Everything else works.
I have never used aperf, and I would rather not add another mod to only use one feature in it, espically when the feature requested would fit better in the MyTown mod which already supplies a similar function for mobs.
Besides aperf is listed as broken with no download.
I agree but in the mean time its an alternative. If you sift through the comments I posted a copy a while back. I think the link still works. If not I have a copy I can throw on dropbox.
Hi Legobear,
Thanks for all your work in maintaining this mod, it really is appreciated.
Looking forward to the release of aPerf, my other favourite mod of all time. The entity lookup and removal tools, tile entity lookup tools and chunk loading ticket lookup tool are what dreams are made of if you are a Forge server owner! If the tick rate ever drops below 20, aPerf will be able to explain why with just a couple of commands 90% of the time. In fact, if a player so much as throws a carrot on the ground you could find that carrot's exact coordinates from the console.
Also Legobear your ForgePermsCBBridge-1.1.7.jar, running together with forgeperms-1.5.1.0 WithoutPEX.jar seems to have reawakened the console spam!
Anyway, thanks again, I'll be keeping an eye out for new developments!
Edit: Wups, just saw that I'm not even running the latest version. You do work quickly.
Just for clarification, what I mean by the confirmation is when you run /t new <name> it asks you to right click with the diamonds (or whatever is set in the config) to buy the plot. I think /home, /sethome, and /spawn can do it as well if there is a cost set.
Released aPerf 1.5.1.1! Packet Limiter is re-enabled so long as the Patch included in the first post works correctly. I have not tested it yet, and am starting work on the 1.6.x version now.
One last edit... Just released aPerf 1.6.1.0! Packet Limiter patch wont work, the file that makes the patch is for Windows and I am running Linux. If someone would like to try to create the patch, feel free to. I will rewrite it as a Linux script later. The stuff for the patch can be found here https://github.com/legobear154/aPerf/tree/master/patch
