Are you positive they are on 1.6.1.7? I swear I'm not trying to be annoying but I can not get that version to work, no matter what I try. Even just pushing enter in the console of the server will get you "[INFO] You do not have permission to use this command". I am running a plain forge 828 server with only forgeperms-1.6.1.0, MyTown-1.6.1.7 and MyTownLib, just starting it with out touching anything nets you that. Using the '*' node works on 1.6.1.5 and I even set up a 1.5.2 server and tried my very same set up there on 1.5.1.9 and it works fine. Its only 1.6.1.7 that's giving me any issues. Hell, I can even use /ta and make the towns that way, its only /t, not even the server console can use /t. I'm not trying to be that guy, I'm just tying to understand why its not working on this version, as I just don't see how its something I'm doing when it works on all other versions, except this one.
Now I don't know the whole problem (to lazy to go back and read the whole story ) but I think I had a similar issue with the not enough permissions error. What I did was go to my SERVER/config folder, open PermissionsEx.cfg and change allowops to true. Save the file, then op yourself. the console will still give you that error, but if you join the server, everything should work then. That's what I did, Idk if it's the same issue your having but give it a try! the only thing is that it's more of a Band-Aid and if you want to have moderators and things along that line, it might get a little bit more tricky! I hope this helps and sorry if this is not even close to fixing the problem, just woke up and haven't had my coffee yet
Ok, try this one, I think I messed up when I did the other one. It checked the nodes, but I didn't return from the function so it still thought you had no access, I think. My bad https://dl.dropboxus...own-1.6.1.8.jar
D3va5t4t10n, I have no clue the number, but I am really close since I couldn't post the aPerf stuff

That seems to have fixed it, even works with mcpc now. Thanks!
On a side note, do I just have to deal with the lack of ChatManager for the moment? I really want player chat colors.... lol mytown chat channels will have to do....
You could disable chat formatting in the MyTown config then use ChatManager. Or, if you mean you want players to be able to use chat colors themselves, you could give everyone the permission node for it mytown.chat.allowcolors
Varka, I will look into adding support for the Metallurgy TNT, sorry I didn't respond sooner, I have had a rough past couple of days.
LegoBear, I dont use MCPC+ so I can have full compatability. I did however find an amazing solution for both my MOTD and the player name.
Question though, does anything in MyTown affect player name color? I might have to remove that then.... (the second /u007a)
For anybody wondering, Formatting codes can be used in the motd line in a server.properties file, as well as in the permissions.yml file, but the section signs must be escaped as §
For reference, go here http://www.minecraft...ormatting_codes
to do §c which is Red, I must use the escaped version, which is the same as doing §c but works with servers and internal stuff.
Red, for MOTDs and Permissions, for example will look like this: §c Note the C, as the § is the § sign and the c is the color from the formatting codes page.
§cGbox Gaming §eGround Wars 2.0
Result on the server list and while loading
prefix: "§b[Default]§a"
Result while ingame and how it works with MyTown
Woah! on a wierd side note the normal way is working!
prefix: "§2§f" for example
Hi, I've been trying to get MyTown set up and working with MCPC+. I think there must be a piece I'm missing, or something I don't have hooked up right. But for the life of me, I can't figure out what it is. For point of referance, I'm running Feed the Beast Unleashed, which is minecraft 1.5.2
Here's what works. I can use vanilla FML, the MyTown mod (with MyTownLib), and the ForgePerms *with* PEX, and it works. However, if I don't change *anything* except use the MCPC+ server jar (instead of vanilla FML), this configuration doesn't work. I've tried adding the appropriate entries in the permissions.yml file in the server root, but that doesn't fix it.
So, then I tried using MCPC+ (again with the same permissions.yml file as linked above), ForgePerms (non-PEX), the ForgePermsCBBridge, Vault, and the Bukkit version of PEX. Still didn't work. I was able to verify that *something* was changing when I add ForgePermsCBBridge/Vault, because before adding them, I'd get kicked from the server when I attempted to say something in chat, and once I added them, I didn't get kicked anymore.
What am I missing? I thought that the path of perms was basically MyTown->ForgePerms->MCPC+->ForgePermsCBBridge->Vault->Any Vault supported permissions plugin.
Makermod1, when users use colors in chat, it uses the $ symbol.
jakimfett, you have to add the other permission nodes as well. The ones in your permissions.yml file are specific to MCPC+ only, but to get commands to work, you also need the mytown nodes as well (eg: mytown.chat.allowcolors, mytown.ecmd.spawn, etc) Hope that sorts out the issue. And the path is actually MyTown->ForgePerms->Vault->Vault supported perm plugin. The reason for that is, ForgePermsCBBridge just registers Vault with ForgePerms when the server is started, then ForgePerms handles it all from there.

Alrighty, there must still be something I'm messing up. I'm running MCPC+ build #738. I have the latest versions of MyTown, ForgePerms (non-PEX), and ForgePermsCBBridge for Minecraft 1.5.2 from your download page , MyTownLib from the google download page, Vault from BukkitDev, and I'm using PermissionsEX for Bukkit, which is one of the Vault supported permissions plugins.
I am targeting the "/homes" command, because if I can get a single command working, I can get the rest of them working. My config files for Bukkit PEX and my root permissions.yml file look like this, and I'm not running any additional plugins (so there shouldn't be conflicts). Any clue what I'm doing wrong? I still get the same "I'm sorry, but you don't have permission to perform this command" error.
What is the max number of characters for a topic?

Getting an NPE running MCPC+ 1.5.2 build 635 and a few mods/plugins.
I THINK I've installed everything correctly.

Ah, so my permissions.yml file also needs all the mytown permission nodes in it? Eg, like this? Or am I understanding that completely wrong?
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks!
