Broadcaster _ This is used to allow other parts of the network to browse the inventory of the adjacent chest, such as the request pipe and crafting pipes, so they can request the items to craft.
The filtering system allows you to choose which items are visible or invisible.
Stock keeper _ This chip will attempt to keep the inventory supplied with whatever you specify by means of direct requesting or crafting. This will only work if the chest that supply the chip have a broadcaster chip in them.
Item Terminator _ No idea
I'd be guessing the Item Terminator is a "last stop" kind of destination if there is nowhere else to put the item it stuffs it in there, so lowest priority destination available.
So odd issue...Have a player on my server, uses backpacks a LOT. Has found that sometimes, with the newest version of Red, that she'll click items and they either won't go into the spot in the backpack...or won't let her remove them.
There a chance you know what's going on, or is it likely I screwed something up and need to fix it?

It locks the slots sometimes, fixed in next version.
hey does anyone know a way to automate the black stained trees? since forestrys tree farm wont accept them and steves carts 2 is super expensive i can find a good cheap reliable way to automate it.
and help is much appreciated thanks.

what can i do to fix it??
PS: im using 1.6.4 and this isnt the full detailed error msg.
So far I've had no problems with any part of project red but last night, after re-installing NEI (with NEI plugins), every time I interact with a multipart block (covers and hollow covers, both cobblestone... because that's all I have around) the game locks up completely on me after about 2 minutes. It just freezes completely. No crash, no log, just a hard, nasty freeze that requires task manager to kill.
This happens if I place a cover, break a cover, right-click my empty hand on a cover, and even when I put covers in my inventory from a chest.
A dozen times I loaded up my world (from desktop, not a load from within the running game). Six of those times, I went straight to a cover and interacted with it (I did *nothing* else) and the game froze all six times. The other times, I avoided the covers like they had plague that could start the zombie apocalypse and I used teleporters, went to the nether, went to the Twilight Forest, and otherwise carried on normally with no freezing.
This morning, before work, I fired up the game again and pulled all covers out of the chest they're in. The intention was to dump them in a TE3 nullifier. But before I could even get to the nullifier, the game froze. All I did was load the world, pull the covers, and walk across the room.
I'm using the latest version (I redownloaded and installed every mod I have last night because of this) of everything.
Up until last night, I have had no issues with these things (indeed, I used them extensively in a thaumcraft distillation room). I could place them and break them all day long without any problem.
Anybody know what could be causing this? The only thing different is NEI Plugins is new to my mod collection.
at the moment crafting pipes can only be configured to craft one item.
So my proposal is that the crafting pipe can accept crafting chip and only crafting chips.
These chips have the same interface as the pipe has currently, next to each chip slot will be a slot for a data card which will link that chip to the extension pipe where the crafted item will enter the system.
So one crafting pipe can regulate multiple furnaces, pulverisers, or Assemblers (TE), at the cost of more extension pipes and chips.
The best in this idea is that one crafting pipe attached to one machine will be able to craft multiple items. With current design each recipe requires separate machine.
There is a big problem with the latest update. Lamps turn off, when i go about 100m far from them. And i did not found any solution for that in the config!
They're not off. They still emit light. They just don't have the transparent box around them because that part is rendered by the tile entity, not the block. Tile entities stop rendering after exactly 64 blocks from the player. The same thing applies to chests. They disappear after the same distance.
May I suggest a lamp that changes color based on the wire that it receives power from? Orange wire makes it orange, red makes it red, etc...Oh, and if receives it from more than one, it swaps after time intervals, for a strobe effect.

I know people must hound you. It's an awsome mod, but to say "When its ready, don't ask. The more people that ask, the longer I will wait until releasing it." isn't fair. What about all the fans who are politely waiting and saying nothing? They have to wait longer because one schmuck can sit still and wait?
This is a simple idea that introduces a new pipe, called a tesseract interface pipe. It will be a pipe that will work with tesseracts from thermal expansion, thus allowing you to transport items over long distances.
The tesseract pipe would allow two parts of a network to communicate aver long distances, and dimensions.
The pipe would detect what state the tesseract is in such as if it is active, whether it can receive items or only send them,
No, the tesseract is the thing that does the teleporting, but the pipe i am proposing is placed next to the tesseract to allow communication across tesseracts.
Basically the pipe acts like abridge between the tesseract and the pipes.
I did some testing and you cannot with the current setup request item through a tesseract. This is to allow this functionality and more.
Aaaaaah, so, not a tesseract-alike pipe, but a pipe that can extend a ProjectRed sorting/request network through a tesseract link.
Ahh, the power of PR and texture packs! Had designed those lamps with multipart long ago and decided to make them functional (day and night switching) for the price of making magenta insulated framed wires invisible preventing jumping around lamps. In my eyes it is totally worth it to make something nice to look at that has the working charm to it. (If the image comes out in full size forgive me, I tried resizing but it seems to keep going back to default by itself)
I was sad when RedPower was not being updated.

... this mod is frickin amazing.

If you mean jacketed textures over framed wires, then just get a cover, and right click on the wire. It will take that texture. (see wiki for info)
and help is much appreciated thanks.

Alrightie. Any idea when next version is out, or is it out already? I'll warn my users about it.

I made my own shader pack, by the way.
Why not just use a tesseract?
