I just loaded up the new version... 24 redstone and 3 iron for 12 red alloy wire?
That said I do like the red iron compound idea, but what do you think I am made of red stone?
There is nothing wrong with the recipe. It now uses 2x the redstone, which isn't a big deal. You can still use a Tconstruct smeltery to reduce redstone cost back to 1x. You can also use Thermal Expansion induction furnace.
I'd like to ask if there is any particular reason why Project Red is incompatible with Liteloader (chained to Minecraft Forge of course)? I've tested this on both 1.6.2 and 1.6.4.
I just uploaded my Project Red Spotlight and thought I would share it with anyone reading the thread who maybe interested in Project Red. It is a super cool mod that is tons of fun.
Firstly, I want to thank you for taking up the torch where Redpower 2 left off. Secondly, I'd like to ask if there is any particular reason why Project Red is incompatible with Liteloader (chained to Minecraft Forge of course)? I've tested this on both 1.6.2 and 1.6.4.
FWIW, I'm using LiteLoader and ProjectRed, and the only issue I have noticed is that it messes up the lamp textures. I know it's possible to have Forge chain-load LiteLoader instead of LiteLoader chain-loading Forge, and I'm planning on testing to see whether this makes any difference.

great review i love your enthusiasm just a couple features that you did not mention.
the first is important to the technical aspect of the mod. red alloy wire will pass there redstone signal to the block they are sitting on while the covered wires will not
the second is important aesthetically. Try placing a cover on the framed wires. it will wrap the frame with whatever cover you have cut. if you do not want it to wrap you can just shift-right click:)
again great video this mod has a lot to cover and you did a great job just thought you and every one should know about these features.
Mr_TJP i think in case of blocks movement, frames should you(incluiding Chicken Bones and other cool Guys) do a open api."The movement API" as the same mode that Forge Multipart has done
When will you be adding machines like the block breaker? That's my favorite part.
If you need a block breaker, Random Things mod has a block breaker (and a "deployer", under the name of Auto Placer), but both are ... slightly weird. (Instead of placing or breaking when they receive a redstone signal, and placing or breaking a single block on receipt of a redstone 1 pulse, they break and place continuously UNTIL they receive a redstone signal. That means that if you want to place or break single blocks you have to send them a continuous redstone signal and send a 0 pulse when you want to place or break a block, and then you find that they don't reliably break or place on a single pulse.)
When will you be adding machines like the block breaker? That's my favorite part.
Im working on a highly experimental unique item transport system using tags and filters. I wouldn't count on them being in any time soon, or ever. The only hope machines has is if i finish this transport system and its good enough for me to consider throwing up yet another one. All i know is, tubes are gone, and unless RP2 updates, its never coming back. Not from me at least.
I'm having some insures getting the mod to load. Here's what I did.
Downloaded and installed Forge Installer
Downloaded and installed all for mods for PR from the main page (on the account that the download website is down at the moment of writing).
It automatically installs: (ForgeMultipart-universal-1.6.4-1.0.0.191) and (CodeChickenLib-universal-1.6.4-1.0.0.36)
I load up Minecraft on the separate Forge profile
MC freezes and says: "Forge Mod Loader has found a problem with your minecraft installation. The mods and versions listed below could not be found: CodeChickenCore : any"
However, when I go to Chickenbone's thread and look under the CodeChickenCore, it say that he changed it from CodeChickenCore-Public to CodeChickenLib (which is what the PR base mod auto installed).
And because Mr_TJP seems to have a lot on his plate at the moment, can anyone tell me what's going wrong and how to fix it?

Tree Puncher.
I punch trees! All tree should fear the name Eldest Wolf!

Ask the lite loader people.

If you are firm on the default recipe I will respect your decision.
Maybe a dumb question, in what way can I use To Construct smeltery to reduce redstone cost back to 1x?
Thank you for all your hard work, I thought after RedPower stopped getting updated I would never be able to play Minecraft again.
...anymore.
No, I mean when it is out, it will be compatible. You guys can also suggest if another big mod has some machine that combines multiple materials.
GregTech?
Also the Factorizatin Mixer would be good. Project Red and Factorization seem to be a good fit together.
Um, that doesn't make sense. But it seems that you are asking if it is possible to make PR run in any minecraft version, and the answer is NO.
But they are there and they do work.
