The Saturation Mod allows the player to check their food saturation. What food saturation is the hidden food bar that allows you keep full food bars for a certain amount of time, depending on the food you ate. I created this mod because of the upcoming Minecraft 1.6. In 1.6, to regenerate health, it will be consuming your saturation and food bars to regain health. This will show you how much saturation you have left. The saturation is show as the brighter food bars. The 6 furthest away from 21 exp is your saturation. This mod works in both single and multiplayer.

You may be able to remove that yourself if it gets re-added. Look inside the zip folder and see if there is something about that.
Or Spencie37 might be able to re-add the forge message on top of the one he/she made :3

I have removed it in the new version(s) of the mod. For version 1.0, its in there.
How does this mod work? Maybe you could at a menu that allows you to customize the color?
The Mod shows the hidden food bar that holds your saturation. When you saturation goes to 0, then you food bar starts going down. It just shows you the hidden bar. I'll see what I can do about a menu to customize the colors.

Thank you for liking this idea, please spread it around so others can use this mod.
I will be updating to 1.6.1 and I'll post when I have updated.
Edit: I'm trying to create the mod without using Forge. I want this mod to be simple. Please keep waiting until I can get the mod updated.
The Saturation Mod has now been updated to Minecraft 1.6.1 as well as Minecraft 1.6.2. Please go download it and check it out.
