Super Crafting Frame is a simple mod that helps with repetitive crafting tasks during early game. Place it, set a recipe, and right-click it to craft the item from your inventory or an attached chest, barrel, etc.
Download and install Minecraft Forge. Toss SuperCraftingFrame into the mods folder inside .minecraft or your server's mods folder. In Minecraft 1.6.x and later; mods can be installed to separate sub directories to organize mods for the different versions. i.e. /mods/1.6.2/ or /mods/1.7.2/
Notes:
There is a config option to check attached inventory for items before crafting new ones. This may cause the amount of items recieved to be less than expected. i.e. It will toss the one 1 wooden ladder in the chest instead of the 3 you would recieve in a proper craft of the recipe. This may cause slight confusion when you click three times and get 1, 1, 3 back.
When crafting it will try to pull ingredients from a chest first before the players inventory. Just keep that in mind if you have ingredients in an attached chest that you don't want to use for crafting.
I don't recursively look into any of the backpacks or bags for items. If there is something you don't want to use for crafting, you can hide them in there.
Usage has slightly changed in 1.7.2. In previous versions: right-click crafted item, control + right-click crafted a full stack, and sneak + right-click with fist opened the gui.

The dust still hasn't settled from the 1.6.1 update. This is likely to be pretty unstable until forge finalizes a recommended build. There is no guarantee this will work.
It works out pretty good. It's simple and is a great in between solution before you build your complex sorting and crafting system. Even then I find I still like to use them for food things like bread or berry bowls. I can just dump all my wheat into a chest and then quickly refill my food stack as needed.
Nice! Now I can put my chests into a wall without having to break the block above it!

Ha, this is indeed pretty neat. If you can make it work with AE [if it doesn't] it would be specially awesome. Gonna give it a try and see if it works or not, BRB.
EDIT: Nope, doesn't seem to work. Tested with the frame placed on a ME Chest, Crafting Terminal and Access Terminal.
I took a look at AE. I haven't used it all that much. I tend to play mostly hardcore and die before I get setup enough for an ME system.
I really thought that applying a conversion matrix to a storage monitor would allow you to craft items if their count reached zero. That would serve a similar purpose and I didn't want to mess with AEs balance by having a recipe that takes 8 planks do the same thing as their much more expensive monitors and conversion matrix recipes. Guess they don't work that way(though, it would be really cool if they did).
One way to get the crafting frames to work with AE is to place the crafting frame on a ME interface and set the interface to export enough items to cover crafting. ie export 8 planks for a chest, or one stick and one coal for torches. It should work fine then. Though, one thing I noticed was that the me system takes a few ticks to export new items for the next craft, so if you spam the crafting frame fast enough, it may not refill the interface in time and will complain about missing ingredients. Give it a half second and it should be fine.

Fantastic mod! It makes such an easy add on for almost vanilla gameplay and heavily modded stuff. I like to keep my worlds low-tech so this is something that fits perfectly.
Ditto to what spavo said. I like magic and low-tech, so avoid stuff like BuildCraft, AE, etc. Having a way to deal with incredibly repetitive craftings without having to delve into the depths of a tech mod is extremely, extremely nice, and this fits in perfectly. (After installing this, I made several thousand stone bricks with this mod's help to rebuild my home base... so, so, so helpful.)

Good call. I'll look into the redstone and probably update the recipe in the next version. I wasn't sure what to make it. Dropper seems fine. If anyone has a better suggestion for the recipe, let me know, otherwise I'll probably just change it to the dropper.

I think I need to tweak the drop code as well. In a rough testing, the items want to land near the edge of the block and slide to the center, which causes it to bounce off hoppers.
