It's possible there's a memory leak somewhere in either forge or liteloader. You shouldn't be using up 1G with no mods installed. Try using default resource pack. (delete the resource pack line in options.txt)
When I started I had the problem that they would work fine in eclipse, but wouldn't run in an obfuscated build. It keeps looking for the mcp names of methods.
I added this to the build.gradle and the problem went away.
[pre]
mixin {
defaultObfuscationEnv notch
}[/pre]
But now the problem's mysteriously reappeared and I don't know what's causing it.
I also get this message when compiling 1.6 despite the method obviously being there in the mappings and the sources:
[pre]Note: Writing searge output SRGs to C:\dev\gradle 1.9\BlazeLoader\build\tmp\compileJava\mcp-srg.srg
Note: Writing notch output SRGs to C:\dev\gradle 1.9\BlazeLoader\build\tmp\compileJava\mcp-notch.srg
C:\dev\gradle 1.9\BlazeLoader\build\sources\main\java\com\blazeloader\event\mixin\common\MEntityTrackerEntry.java:15: warning: Cannot find target method for @Inject in net.minecraft.entity.EntityTrackerEntry
@Inject(method = "createSpawnPacket()Lnet/minecraft/network/Packet;", at = @At("HEAD"))
^[/pre]
Though I suspect that has something to do with the fact that the method has a generic in its return type now. (Packet<?> vs just Packet)

I'm using a build.gradle based on the one killjoy posted with a gradlew I got from forge. If you need to see exactly what it looks like you can find it over here.

Yup this is the key line I was wondering about. I just checked and I was able to reproduce the problem straight away. I think it's to do with the wildcard generic in the source signature. I can fix this easily in the Mixin AP.
For the time being you can actually just remove the signature from the injector and it'll work just fine. I will fix it when I get a second.
@Inject(method = "createSpawnPacket", at = @At("HEAD"))
private void onCreateSpawnPacket(CallbackInfoReturnable<Packet<?>> ci)
Thanks, I guess the new build of liteloader fixed things. It threw me that the filename was identical so I didnt think anything had changed. I must have just missed the new one yesterday.
Clone Project with eclipse (set git "base dir" to ${workspace_loc} first)
Import using Import -> Gradle -> Project, it'll let you choose which version of gradle to use, choose 2.9
Once you import the project, run setupDecompWorkspace from the gradle tasks panel
When that finishes, run eclipse from the gradle tasks panel
Refresh the project if necessary
Basically if you want a visual guide, watch Link Removed but wherever I mention cloning sponge, just clone the example project instead, since the procedure is exactly the same.
The build folder being invisible is correct, buildship just adds the generated gradlestart stuff directly into the classpath anyway.
I will be releasing a proper MDK pretty soon but this is how to do it in the meantime.
I'm getting a crash in LiteLoader for 1.8.9 when adding AppleCore to my mods (required for Spice of Life mod). The crash happens at Minecraft startup, and removing AppleCore from the mods folder lets me start up without issues.
Given how few details the crash log seems to provide I'm posting in both threads to figure out where a solution needs to be implemented, I have no clue which side is causing an incompatibility. Thanks for your patience

If it's failing on getCommonSuperClass, the most likely explanation is that a transformer is generating bad stack map frames or invalidating ones which exist without having ASM regenerate them. What's weird is that the class it's bitching about isn't touched by LiteLoader, and it seems that the MinecraftTransformer is actually choking because another transformer failed somewhere upstream, but my guess is that the exception got eaten somewhere.
Since it's FML, you should look in the /logs/fml_<side>_latest.log and see if it has any more detail, it might shed some light on what's breaking and why.
To add to the mystery, I don't see anything in the AppleCore transformers which even touches classes that LiteLoader does and vice versa. If this is their transformer set then there isn't anything I can see here which looks problematic, though I may be missing something.
The FML latest.log gives me nothing different, just the same crash sequence as the pastebin I provided. The Liteloader.log stops right before the crash itself.
Is there any other way I could make it crash, or options I could enable to force it to say more? (Too bad OpenEye hasn't been updated for 1.8.9, might've been useful?)
I tried launching Minecraft with the Mojang-supplied Java version (1.8.0_25) instead of 1.8.0_77 for fun, made no difference.
Random idea, do you think I should report this on the Forge forums--I'm afraid of the reception this would get there without a better idea of what's causing what though T_T;

Applecore's author replied on their thread with an existing bug that might be related. I'll use those switches with any other crashes I find though, much appreciated
Edit: The author provided a dev build that plays nicer with the latest Forge recommended version!

It's possible there's a memory leak somewhere in either forge or liteloader. You shouldn't be using up 1G with no mods installed. Try using default resource pack. (delete the resource pack line in options.txt)

That worked
Thank you.
Mumfry, could you help me a bit with mixins?
When I started I had the problem that they would work fine in eclipse, but wouldn't run in an obfuscated build. It keeps looking for the mcp names of methods.
I added this to the build.gradle and the problem went away.
But now the problem's mysteriously reappeared and I don't know what's causing it.
I also get this message when compiling 1.6 despite the method obviously being there in the mappings and the sources:
Though I suspect that has something to do with the fact that the method has a generic in its return type now. (Packet<?> vs just Packet)
If you want to contact me, try going through Discord or you can find me on GitHub where I am still updating the below mods (and more):

I will investigate, I assume you're using MixinGradle?
I have no idea.

@Sollace should be fixed now.
Thanks, I guess the new build of liteloader fixed things. It threw me that the filename was identical so I didnt think anything had changed. I must have just missed the new one yesterday.
Clone the ExampleMod as a starting point:
I will be releasing a proper MDK pretty soon but this is how to do it in the meantime.
Hello guys,
I'm getting a crash in LiteLoader for 1.8.9 when adding AppleCore to my mods (required for Spice of Life mod).
The complete launcher log is here
Version info:
-forge-1.8.9-11.15.1.1855
-LiteLoader 1.8.9-SNAPSHOT-r08134E7-b8-2016-04-14_16-33-58
-AppleCore-mc1.8.9-1.3.0
Please let me know if you need more details.

Random idea, do you think I should report this on the Forge forums--I'm afraid of the reception this would get there without a better idea of what's causing what though T_T;

JVM options you can add to increase verbosity are:
-Dliteloader.debug=true
-Dmixin.debug.verbose=true
you can also try (though it probably won't help)
-Dmixin.debug.verify=true
All of the above are case sensitive.
Thanks Mumfrey!
Applecore's author replied on their thread with an existing bug that might be related. I'll use those switches with any other crashes I find though, much appreciated
Edit: The author provided a dev build that plays nicer with the latest Forge recommended version!

If you find anything conclusive please open an issue here so I can track it more easily.
Looks like the server's fault. It's sending bad entity properties.
