Yeah we have tough the custom keyblade options a some time now. (as planning the way it to work in good way might be an issue but that might just be me.)
It might be hard to do but I believe in you guys.
The God Blade is a X-blade that is half light and half dark. The handle has on Angel Wing on the light side and a Dark Dragon Wing on the dark side. The gap within the X-blade is replaced with a Kingdom Heart that is half light and half dark. The player has to be Lvl 100, have all the spells and drives, and has maxed out all of the spells and drives. The description of the blade is "This blade is the ultimate Keyblade that is the combination of a pure heart of light and darkness to form a heart that is 100,000 times stronger than a Kingdom Heart." To obtain this blade you must have 10 X-blades, 100 of all Crystal Materia, and 11 Kingdom Hearts. But to get the crafting recipe you have to get 10 Kingdom Hearts to unlock a door to the Dive to the Heart dimension where you have to kill 10 Giga Shadows that are guarding a chest that's locked and can only be unlocked by an X-blade. This blade is so strong that you can destroy everything in your way. It's the hardest blade to obtain but it can unlock every locked kingdom keys chests and has 100 base strength and 100 base magic.
This is the story of the what the God Blade is and how it's obtained. Love this mod and I hope to see this mod reflect all of what Kingdom Hearts is.
You guys can design the blade however you like but I would like the things that I said it looks like can be in the blade.

custom keyblades are interesting in concept, and i really love anything that adds customization
but i dont think they'd work out in the long run, since it'd mean there'd be no reason to collect or use regular keyblades if you can just make stronger ones yourself
plus most of the keyblade parts kinda don't mesh well together, if you look at each keyblade's hand guard, shaft, and teeth individually most of them wouldn't look right on each other
unless you made lots of custom parts to use for custom keyblades, but that would take a ton of work...
however, to compromise, maybe you could spend points you earn from leveling up to modify the stats, add enchantments, and change the colors of your favorite keyblade? like for example, if you really love Lady Luck, but it's one of the worse keyblades, or if you really wanna have a blue Rumbling Rose or something

No you would have a limit and to make a custom Keyblade it would cost at least one of each keyblades that you took the parts from plus 10 of each Crystal Materia to make a custom keyblade. plus the strength and magic properties of the keyblade would have to be balanced. Lastly it to have the ability to create them you'd have to find a secret recipe that you would get from reaching lvl 100 and have all spells and drives. thats why I put in the requirments of the God Blade. its how you would get the recipe to craft your own keyblade. I meant this function to be used on a server or for those solo players that want to make a roleplaying aspect in Minecraft. It would be a great aspect because you would have the regular keyblades that youed use until you get to lvl 100 and have all the drives and spells.
I do like your idea though. its a great comprimise, but I really would like a Kingdom Hearts mod that allows you to have a custom Keyblade unlike in the game Kingdom Hearts you can't make a custom Keyblade.
If we were to make the custom keyblades it would be in the later future because I'm working on all the organization weapons with the remaining keyblade (which are almost done for keyblades) and if I were to do it it would probably have to be something a majority agrees apon with the idea for everyone has their own idea of a custom keyblade

that is true. I accept that. It was just a suggestion though. Maybe you should make a pull asking if people want custom Keyblades making in this mod.
Man I wish this was back ported to 1710 as very few mods I use are on the latest versions. Oh well I'll work with what I can get. Glad to see this one mod is still carrying on strong after being away for a while.

well i feel its a much wanted feature with thing like custom gummy ships and everything but keep in mind that it will take time for me to make the models with what im already doing for wehavecookies

If they were implemented, maybe they should be only as strong as Kingdom Key or Wayward Wind or the other "default" Keyblades. Besides, I'd rather see other things before then, like naturally spawning Heartless (or another layer or two of glowstone beneath the Dive into the Heart so people don't fall out of the world, which happened to me the other day).

Yeah but as you level up you would get upgrade points that you can then use to upgrade your custom Keyblade. But you would only get one upgrade point for every 10 lvls.
I also agree with that heartless naturally spawning should come first.
