So glad I found a mod like this, I like doing things by hand as much as anyone else but I like being able to set up machines to do the tedious stuff, too.
Hello guys,
I'm busy working on the new Update, where have rewitten about 80% of my code.
So it's the perfect time to suggest new features I could implement. Currently I've already added new tiers of the breaker, like diamond, silktouch and fortune.
I'll also implement the features in the planned for the next update.
There will be also bug fixes and stability and speed improvments (like no fake players at crafting and a lot of configuration).
So feel free to suggest your wanted features and you'll find rhem in the next update.

I have two suggestions. One is with the breaker item: would it be possible to have it pull in the block immediately following the block touching the breaker's active face? Sort of like an inverted piston, constantly pulling the blocks towards it rather than pushing them away.
The other suggestion is to add an additional item that siphons items from chests/breaker and able to direct them to another holding device (chest/place/dispenser). I realize this is very similar to the wooden tubes from Buildcraft, but I like your much more simple and compact mod.
An "attacker" block - put a sword in its inventory and it will use it to attack the square in-front when triggered with redstone. Sword enchantments would be applied.
The damage source would be treated as "player", meaning that the mobs drop xp and rare drops. To balance this, the sword would lose durability and eventually break, meaning that the process just saves the player from standing in one spot and clicking endlessly.
The attacker would pick up drops automatically, placing them into its internal inventory, a nearby inventory, or destroying them if there is no available place to put them (since masses of dropped items could cause server to lag).
Optionally, do away with an internal inventory for items, only having a slot for a sword. Instead, drops would be placed into a chest below/beside the block, or destroyed if no chest was present. Hoppers or pipes could then be used to freely input and output swords from the attacker.

To emulate this, just use a piston to push the blocks in-front of the breaker, using obsidian/furnace to make the piston stop pushing past a certain point.

I know you can push the blocks into the breaker, but eventually you would still have a segment of the blocks still showing as the piston pushing would no longer reach and the breaker would only have the single block in front of it. The exact situation that I'm talking about is a gate. On the top you have the placers putting out the gate and this is pushed downward towards the bottom. Once fully in place you then activate the breakers that are at the bottom. If they could pull the blocks towards them it would pull the gate in. The extra tube item I suggested would then funnel he items back from the breakers to the placers.

Hmmm... I can think of a way to do it with slime blocks after 1.8 comes out... You could also make a vertical gate using gravel or something.
For the default breakers it would probably be a little overpowered... perhaps suggest it as a new feature - "Drawbridge block" which is specially designed to pull and push rows of blocks.
For example, you want a 6 plank draw bridge. Place the drawbridge block in the place that you want, facing the direction that you want. Now place the number of blocks you would need for the drawbridge into the block (aka... 5 planks). The block would now remember that it has 5 planks in it (max 5?).
When powered, it would then place and push the blocks just as a piston+placer would do. When not powered, it would retract the plank blocks and place them back into the inventory.
The block would have 5 inventory slots.
The player puts their drawbridge into the slots, mirroring exactly how the drawbridge will appear in the world.
When powered, the block takes the last filled inventory slot, places the block, then pushes like a piston. Next it takes the second to last filled inventory slot, places the block, then pushes like a piston [could start from the first slot, but this would reverse the block layout). After placing a block, the slot gets grayed out, with a ghost block indicating that a block was stored in the slot [this is important].
When retracting, the block checks the drawbridge. Starting from the first inventory slot; it cycles through the slots that had blocks in them, ensuring that the bridge is intact. After the entire bridge is accounted for, it starts to retract (breaks 1 block, then pulls the other blocks towards it). It would be able to deal with blocks in the bridge being broken or changed, however if you removed the third block of a 5 block bridge, the bridge would only be recognized as being 2 blocks long.
Recipe - 1 breaker, 1 placer, some redstone, and 2-4 pistons/sticky pistons.

@wolfschlitzen
As mentionend in the "Planned for future updates" section an own transportation-system is in work.
I also want to make a system of block like the Frames in RP, this should be a good solution for automatic minin, etc.
@4HeadTiger
to kill enemies will be part of the User (you only have to give a sword)
Planned for future:
Transportation System with cableway cars
RivenCraft to go with our MystCraft? I would love you forever.

The inquisitors were torturing Harry.
First, Ignatius used the rock.
Then Billy asked Harry if he wanted to read his BDSM blog. Harry was so surprised that his pants flew right off. He was wearing women's underpants. The inquisitors were wearing them, too.

That will be a pretty massive project...
Coder to coder, your best option is probably to make something like an upgraded slime block that can carry more blocks, and be disguised as other blocks etc. Though you might have to add things to allow say, redstone, torches etc, to not get destroyed when the blocks are moved...
While I think of it, another suggestion;
A piston that, instead of pushing and pulling blocks and items, can slide them across its face, kind of like a conveyor belt? Not only would this be really handy in general use, but it would also work very well with the slime-block-frames thing.

@Gyro
I tought about a smaller version just for items, but i will look for what i can do.
@4HeadTiger
I kown about the huge complexy but I want to try and I want to dive deeper in Minecraft coding than Blocks and Items.
But as said before first there will be more Blocks and then I will make my cablewaycars.
I just read a couple of older post and so I lnow it is ok. You should update that in the OP. Otherwise people will keep asking!
I'd also like to report a bug: Only one item stays in crafting field of the automatic crafting table. If I put several in, close the GUI and open it again only the item in the most top left position is left. This makes it rather useless. Please fix it!
Hello, I'm back with the first Beta-Release of the new Version of my Mod. You can find the link in the Download section.
I also moved to Github (link in the FAQ), so my Mod is now open source.
Why do I upload a beta-Version?
It's currently only the old Version with bugfixes and new Tiers for the Breaker, currently you are not able to craft enchanted Breaker, you can only get them in Creative mode. But the main reason why I released a beta Version is the big bugfix in the Automated crafting table. It should work now properly.
So, fixed last multiplayer issues, now 100% MP compatible. So along there are no more known bugs in my mod, so i can proceed to make the awsome new content
3rd Beta-release is out there and ready for downloading.

This actually is an awesome idea. Simple and still balanced.
