I installed the renderplayerAPi but when i add this mod it crashes my game here is the report
Looks like you might have two old versions of the mod installed. Delete all the versions of the mod you have installed, including the utils mod, and then follow the installation instructions very carefully.
I would be interested in doing this, but the problem is I don't currently know of a way to tell if an item is a gun. I suppose I could add a config option that would contain the IDs of the guns you want rendered this way, though. I have been working on my own gun mod anyway, and I do have something set up ti use the RenderPlayer API to hold guns properly, though I still haven't figured out how to rotate the player to hold the guns properly without making it look glitchy... Of course, with a coremod, I could just make it modify the player entity's update method...
I don't know, how did it break them?
(Also, it's a little hard to believe a mod that is completely client-sided and does nothing with the world could break a map. Are you sure it wasn't a different mod?)
Well, the maps were offset when I lost the mod (due to 1.6.2) and veiwed them in vanilla. Could have been an update issue, or whatever. Point is, this bug hasn't been reported with your mod, so I think it should be fine!
I'm currently working on updating my other mod, which is going okay, but it might take a while. I'll get to work on IFP as soon as I can, and if I'm right (which I often am not), it shouldn't be too difficult to update.
I've been working on my other mod, which has been giving me significantly more trouble than I expected. It took a while for me to decide this (because I had to try to find workarounds), but I'll probably have to drop a feature because of something Mojang changed.
Also, it turns out that GuiApi may have been dropped by its owner, meaning I'll have to figure out another way to implement my in-game options menu.
