Does anyone know if silver dungeons have been added yet? and what bronze keys are for? ive been searching for a silver dungeon for forever now and still cant find one.
thanks for the help
Bronze keys are for a locked chest when you defeat the Slider. I do not believe that silver dungeons are added yet, and I am pretty sure they aren't, even thought my game fails to start up and crashes. Hope this helps.

I used the Minecraft version player to change my version from 1.5.2 to 1.5.1 & then followed a tutorial on how to download it but it keeps crashing my game. the video link: .
it should help a lot of people who want it but not me. Aether staff, please make a 1.5.2 soon, hopefully by tomorrow
There are a lot of problems with the Skyroot buckets.
Filling them while stacked will fill all of the buckets.
Placing any type of liquid is laggy, especially while placing water over lava.
Water placed by the buckets does not seem to work with the Aqueous Accumulator from Thermal Expansion, and it won't work until you pickup and replace the water with a normal bucket.
Seriously, what is up with this mod? None of the items or blocks seem to follow the unwritten rules of Forge and they don't seem to co-operate with anything. I'm not hating or anything, because it's a great mod, but I just don't understand why everything Aether-related is so 'exclusive' to itself.
you should also put a version I so people who cant get Aether II can at least play Aether I
No upgrades necessary, maybe except for bug fixed
Aether I stopped working a long time ago, and it would take longer to update it than it would to update Aether II to the newest version. Just have patience and the Aether team will work it out.
I suggest using MultiMC to install Aether II. Just pick the version of Minecraft when creating a new instance and you're ready to go after you install Forge and the other mods.

sorry if this sounds a bit bossy or rude
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but green bread? Not only is that an odd and uninteresting idea, but it's also imitating an aspect of vanilla Minecraft, which Aether II is trying to avoid (I'm assuming).
I completely agree, and the party system as a whole is pointless on SSP. I preferred them in Aether I when you could just walk in and out of them as you pleased. I do however like the new design though I feel there should only be one of each miniboss (kinda like the sliders guardians) and only one entrance on the surface, Maybe make them a little bit smaller as well.
Yes, I definitely love the new layout of the place, and the new mobs implemented are also well used. But it's a bit big. You'd never be able to lug all the loot out in one trip, that's for sure. And from what I've seen so far, you have to fight 4 minibosses to open the door to the Slider... Most games that I know limit to 2 minibosses before the main boss. But like I said before, they're built with SSP out of mind.
I've got two questions, which may or may not have been answered somewhere else in the comments, but who has time to read through 2k+ comments? Definitely not me...
1. Does Optifine work with this at all?
2. Which of the official servers lags the least/has the ability to jump right into the Aether without having to deal with going through the Vanilla routine? As in, the portal is available to start, and you don't have to go through digging for diamonds and obsidian and getting Glowstone out of the Nether.
But I have come to the conclusion that the mod is "unplayable" in its current state. At least for me. I am going to wait for future updates to fix all the horrific bugs that contribute to my conclusion. I understand this is in alpha... but I can't do much testing if I can't even play it.
Everything was going fine. I spawned on my island and mined a bunch. Gathered resources. Started a nice little farm.
But once I started exploring... everything just went to hell.
Every time new chunks would load, I would get a horrible lag spike. My game would freeze for at least 20 seconds before resuming play. Sometimes I would be forced to quit it would freeze so bad.
I saw a dungeon. It had a tower and a couple buildings surrounding it. When I was near it I got another lag spike, so while I waited for it to pass I could still walk around and I was surprised when I stepped on a blue aercloud and it worked. I bounced a couple times and then I got stuck. In mid air. The kind of stuck that you sometimes get in vanilla, where you twitch around and you can't really move your cursor. I relogged and it didn't fix it. I began breaking blocks around me. It didn't work. Then I started placing stone so that I had a block under me. Then when I placed the last block under my feet I quote: "Hit the ground too hard" and died. I was annoyed, but I shrugged it off, still confident I could have fun.
So I went back in my portal, harvested my farm, and began my way back. I really hadn't went too far to find the dungeon, so I was there rather quickly. I was almost to where my items were when I stepped off a 1 high ledge onto some normal land and.... I got stuck.... the same way.... again. I tried the same things. Breaking and placing blocks. Then again when I placed a block under me I "Hit the ground too hard" and died again. I was aggravated.
I got fed up and headed over there again, and went to my items a different way. I ran into this invisible wall that made me twitch when I stepped into it. I saw all my items. But the wall stopped me. So I went into creative to try and get them. This is where it just gets screwed up...
I still couldn't pass through the wall. So I flew up and I could pass through while I was higher. But when I dropped down I would get stuck and twitch again. So I flew back up and kept trying in different areas. The weird part was that random sections I could drop into. But most of it I couldn't. I gathered most of my items but the rest despawned. (LIKE MY NEPTUNE GLOVES!) I couldn't go near the dungeon because of this "wall", so I flew higher and past the wall so that I was facing the dungeon from the other side. I gave myself back what I thought I had lost in this glitch, and tried to keep my cool.
I approached a small building with my chin held high, excited to at least conquer a dungeon and get some badass loot.
And boy, I couldn't have been more disappointed...
I right clicked the big black door. A prompt appeared to name my "raid". (Kind of a weird concept). I happily named it "Leroy Jenkins" and clicked go, fingers at the ready for some hardcore combat.
I really had my hopes too high.
My screen quickly flashed what looked like the inside of the dungeon. It had the stones as the floor. But I didn't get to see much because the time wasn't even a full second.
I then appeared under the Aether. I could see some large cloud patches slightly above me.... but I was stuck again. Even worse this time. I couldn't move or look around. I was so angry. I tried reloading the world and it didn't work. I restarted the game and it didn't work. I then just went into creative and flew up and out. But there was a problem...
Where the hell was I!?
I was in a whole new area of the Aether that I had never seen before. New land was loaded, and I could not find any traces of land I knew. I flew around looking and looking. I couldn't find anything. New land began loading and when I flew over it... it stopped loading. The land was cut off in a straight line. The further I flew it got darker, like I was falling into the void. Then when I flew back the land started unloading beneath me.
I tried relogging and it didn't fix anything. Then my next relog was taking too long so I just gave up, deleted my .minecraft folder, and decided to write this.
It seems like everytime I logged in it took longer. A lot longer. Actually.... I am sure of it.
I know this is in alpha.... but seriously?
Needs A LOT of work. Better get squashing bugs. Seems you have a lot to fix. I really hope this is all solved soon. This is such a fantastic mod.
to the Aether II devs -
I like the little things you put in the aether that have nothing to do with it, such as an Item I got that you can only get from the continuum orb from what I think, deadmau5 ears on the first Continuum orb :3
Well, first of all, this is actually a pre-alpha, similar to Minecraft's INDEV stage. As with exploring it's more of Minecraft's problem, it's chunk-saving/rendering/loading system. The Aether has MASSIVE generations and is very taxing on the CPU and your RAM. And Minecraft's system for the chunks is just horribly optimized. (it was NEVER intended for anything but terrain generation)
I believe when you logged off you corrupted your save file in a way where Minecraft couldn't find the true location of chunks, causing further load times trying to overwrite chunks in weird positions. (which gets gradually worse the further you go)
As for the "invisible wall" these are actually phantom blocks-- sometimes part of data corruption.
For the log in times getting longer and longer, this is actually completely normal even for Vanilla worlds, Minecraft loads the chunks that your player is in, but the larger the file gets the more difficult it becomes. The Aether mod only caused this to happen MUCH quicker because it has much more to store. (Nether also speeds up this save loading time degradation, but quite a bit slower than the Aether)
I could really understand the "invisible walls" being phantom blocks. But the thing is this "wall" was like 16 blocks high and EVERYWHERE! What would it even be? It was open land.
Well, the dungeons when activated create a barrier to keep you in (notice how you can't destroy the blocks inside a dungeon?). It could have been the chunks overwriting themselves but the barrier staying.
Well note that this "wall" stuff all happened before I even activated a dungeon. And no, I wouldn't know that because I never was even in the dungeon.
Yes, I definitely love the new layout of the place, and the new mobs implemented are also well used. But it's a bit big. You'd never be able to lug all the loot out in one trip, that's for sure. 4 minibosses?!?! Do you know how long it takes me to find 1?!
Bronze keys are for a locked chest when you defeat the Slider. I do not believe that silver dungeons are added yet, and I am pretty sure they aren't, even thought my game fails to start up and crashes. Hope this helps.

No upgrades necessary, maybe except for bug fixes & the version
Aether I stopped working a long time ago, and it would take longer to update it than it would to update Aether II to the newest version. Just have patience and the Aether team will work it out.
I suggest using MultiMC to install Aether II. Just pick the version of Minecraft when creating a new instance and you're ready to go after you install Forge and the other mods.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but green bread? Not only is that an odd and uninteresting idea, but it's also imitating an aspect of vanilla Minecraft, which Aether II is trying to avoid (I'm assuming).
I like the little things you put in the aether that have nothing to do with it, such as an Item I got that you can only get from the continuum orb from what I think, deadmau5 ears on the first Continuum orb :3
I could really understand the "invisible walls" being phantom blocks. But the thing is this "wall" was like 16 blocks high and EVERYWHERE! What would it even be? It was open land.
Well note that this "wall" stuff all happened before I even activated a dungeon. And no, I wouldn't know that because I never was even in the dungeon.
4 minibosses?!?! Do you know how long it takes me to find 1?!
