The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
This mod is by far the best Minecraft mods I have ever played. The music in this mod is unexpectedly nice. Can't wait for the next update! :)Since this is an RPG mod, I suggest a levelling and a skill system with quests from NPCs. The party system is great though.
You have the right versions. Try using forge build 22.214.171.1249. Do not install aether, just install CCC and NEI (and whatever else you may be using) Then run the game and see if its working, again without aether. If it works, then add Aether mod last. And try.
BTW, are you using any launchers (magic launcher?)
It fully worked when I installed the mods using Craften Terminal (Minecraft Version Changer). I'll see what versions of each mod it installs with that and use those then with the new MC launcher (because on that version changer, when you click "start minecraft", it runs the old MC launcher).
AHA!!! That was the problem the WHOLE time!! LMAO...You must use the old launcher!! The new launcher just won't do it right!! Have fun!!
i don't know if someone told you guys yet.
NEI is not working with Aether. Since i installed aether i don't have the NEI list on the right side anymore, it will not come up if i press 'O' to blend it in/out.
maybe it got something to do with the aether gui for the inventory.
"Screenshot or something please? Could be an error because your running out of GPURAM!"
well I just had to reload mc to fix it nvrmnd about that, but now I'm having an issue with lag and idk how to fix it... it might be due to not having optifine, which for some reason won't work with this mod at least for me.
Just asking, is the Aether mod 2 just a rename of the Aether?
And also: is it a forge drop into the mods folder mod, or not?
If the changes to the default inv. still exist, please make a seperate GUI for that, and also make a collab with Galacticraft where in some way you can reach the Aether through PlanetSelectionGui
TIP: Read the thread before posting, can save you some infractions, not to mention being polite.
Aether II is more than a rename, it's a rewrite, and plenty more things too.
It is a jar-mod, just drop it into the folder.
I'm not sure on the Galacticraft idea though. But you could change it a little, and say, as you leave the Overworld, you see the Aether as you fly by. Then you could bind a key to a "Bail-out" event, if you bail-out at the right time, you hit the Aether. It's a rough idea, and you may not entirely agree with me, but the thing is, the Aether is a bit more 'Mysticism' and Galacticraft is a bit 'techno' if that's the best way to put it. But I think something like that sort of fixes that problem. No matter what, that's a good idea you have there me' boy!
Well, I don't need to play this mod anymore. It is so laggy, and I wont wait, it still is in 1.5.1, when I last checked the post a month ago. I would enjoy to play it, but there is so much weird and not fitting things in the mod.
Personally, I don't like Aether I or II.
i dont see why people keep on begging for "herp derp update pls" when all that is what made them stop updating Aether 1 in the first place. Also, it adds nothing to the thread. It is kinda just there sucking up space for no reason
Ahhhh Aether *w* This has always been one of my favorite mods. I just recently updated to 1.6.2 and am gathering together a bunch of mods for it so sadly I can't play it right now. ;w; Can't wait for an update though, I loooooove this mod guh.

Minecraft exited with code 1.
Minecraft has crashed!
First, go into your "versions" folder in your .minecraft folder. Find the 1.5.1 version folder. Copy that folder, but keep it in the versions folder. Then, rename the copy to something else. For this example, "1.5.1Aether". Rename the copy to that. IF YOU WANT TO NAME IT SOMETHING ELSE, MAKE SURE THAT YOU NAME EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS TUTORIAL THAT SAYS 1.5.1AETHER TO THE SAME THING.
Then, open up the 1.5.1Aether folder. There should be 2 files: 1.5.1.jar, and 1.5.1.json. Rename these to 1.5.1Aether.jar and 1.5.1Aether.json. Open up the .json file with notepad. There should be a lot of random text, but look at the beginning of the first line. You should see a spot that says "1.5.1". Replace that with "1.5.1Aether". DO NOT REMOVE THE QUOTES AROUND IT. Then save and close the .json.
After that, install Forge, Player API, and Render Player API like you would normally do onto the 1.5.1Aether.jar file. Run the Minecraft Launcher.
In the top right of the launcher, click "New Profile". Set the name to something (it doesn't matter what you name it). Open the "versions" dropdown list and select "1.5.1Aether". Then click save. Run Minecraft on that profile to make sure everything is working. Then close Minecraft.
Go back to your .minecraft folder. You should notice that Forge created a lot more folders, including a "mods" folder. Place the Aether's .zip file in there. Then run Minecraft on the new profile again.
If it works, congratulations! You've installed the Aether correctly. If it fails, you probably missed something in this tutorial.
Two things to note, though:
1. The "mods" folder is shared throughout profiles. A few things that could happen with other versions being used:
If the version is 1.5.1, it will use the Aether.
If the version is NOT 1.5.1, it may crash the game or ignore the mod.
If the version does not have forge installed, it will ignore the "mods" folder completely.
2. If you are not using separate folders for each profile (you can set what folders profiles use when editing the profile), then worlds may have some problems. Make sure that if you're NOT using a 1.5.1 Forge profile that you do NOT open a world with Aether content on it. Doing this could result in the deletion of all of your Aether items, the portal, and the entire Aether dimension itself (in that world).
