/restart? Something like Spigot. I don't believe in "its not possible". It IS possible. You just need the server to execute a batch/shell script on running that command, which starts the server again.
Updated to 1.6.4 build 13: Rewrote how the /removeall command works, it will now spread the load over multiple ticks
This is a drastic change to how Minecraft handles the /removeall command. While lag is still possible with a large enough range, it shoul be a lot less now.
Will this work with Forge Essentials? There seems to be a lot of overlap between the command sets, but you have several I'd like to incorporate on my server...
Updated to 1.6.4 build 12: Added world backup feature to servertools, added flat bedrock generation option
The world backup feature creates zip files of the world directory. You can turn on automatic backups at a specified interval, or use the /backup command. It also has the ability to limit the size of the backup folder, as well as how long to keep backups for. Everyting should be self explanatory in the backup section of the config.
The flat bedrock feature is enabled by default, and will cause the bedrock layer to be flat and only one block thick. This only applies to newly generated chunks / worlds.
the backup file your mod creates is not openable (i can't open it with 7-zip or the normal windows thing) and i am pretty shure it does not work properly, cant check since i can't open the file at all...i had set the place for it do backup in anotehr disk, the server is on disk C and where i want my download is on hardisk D.

Could you make this open source? It would be really sad if you couldn't update it at some point, as it's a truly great mod. Also, the no derivatives thing in your license would interfere with opensource-ness.

Any chance that the backup fails for any specific reasons?
I've been getting this error about once/day (I have the settings to back up 4x/day)
The drive has plenty of disk space, so I think I can eliminate that as a possible problem.

Anyway to get this to work with MapWriter's teleport system? I changed the mapwriter config to use the "teleport" command, but your mod wants to use names for teleportation instead of cords.
Basically, trying to make it so non-OPs can teleport using the in-game map instead of commands. Thanks.

I'm not really sure how mapwriter works, but it's a client side mod and servertools is a server side mod, so I don't know how they would integrate. If mapwriter wants to use cords couldn't it just the vanilla /tp command?

It uses the tp command, but it can be configured to use any command. I tried to set it to the same command servertools uses "teleport" but servertools doesn't like it.
Servertools seems to teleport based on name instead of cords? Standing on (let's say..) 60,60,60 and typing /teleport set TEST then typing /teleport TEST to teleport works. Now if I stand on the same place and create a waypoint in MapWriter, then click to teleport on the map, mapwriter sends out the command "/teleport 60,60,60" which doesn't exist according to servertools because it wants "TEST" instead of coords. If I leave it on /tp, I get permission issues when not an op. Anyway to get it to use cords for the command, or set the vanilla "tp" command to usable for non-OPs?
Anyway thanks for the mod, I've been looking high and low for an automatic 1.6 server backup mod. This replaces ForgeBackup nicely.

I see what you're saying. I have a couple of ideas, I'll either add the ability to specify coordinates in /teleport, or overwrite the vanilla /tp command and add a config option to allow non-ops to use it. I'm on thanksgiving break now so it may take a few days, but ill definitely do something.

The ability to allow users to use the vanilla tp would probably be best, then we don't have to mess around in other config files for compatibility.
I tested this on my server, and even after setting up the MOTD it is not sent aurtomatically when I (or anyone else) log in... only seems to work when we type /motd.

I see that it has worked for me, but it did not save the other dimensions (folders DIM1, DIM-1, DIM7), just the main world and the other sub-folders.
Any chance there's just a setting I missed?
