Are you aware of any setting within the Servertools.cfg file, that would prevent ForgeIRC from loading? Reason I ask about that file specifically, is before I changed some of the OP require settings, our IRC relay worked and loaded, now however, it is not loading.
I plan to run through the cfg myself, and see if I can find the issue, but thought I would post here, incase anyone else has had this issue, and perhaps knows the cause.
I know that $PLAYER$ is the only argument that is currently in use in the MOTD.txt file, but it is possible to change the color of the text? Currently it shows up as a dark grey, which, most of our users have reported is rather hard to read, and makes the MOTD get completely missed in most cases.
Great mod man. Very useful on my server. I run this on a heavily modded server (Feed the Beast) so one thing that would really help me is the ability to regenerate chunks. Sometimes they get corrupted so... Obviously this would require a fair amount of work I'm sure so this is for farther down the range but just a suggestion.
Thank you,
Bensawsome
Love the mod so far. I have had a few minor issues though.
1. # Colors op's usernames yelow in chat
B:EnableOPUsernameColor=false
This does not work for me. Ops names are still in yellow. I would prefer to keep them not known but it is not a big deal. Also I use a mod that allows us to use the "/nick" command. Ops cannot use this command now which I think is related to your mod overwriting the text output.
2. Autosaving is turned off on /backup. Is there a way to turn off autosave while it back ups then back on afterwards?
This mod works nicely on my small home server, I do have a request though is it possible to include a check to see if the server is actually running with auto backup enabled?
I have a nasty bug atm where the server will crash due to a ticking tile entity error (chasing up the authors about it atm) and since the backup module has no running check, I had to mcedit the offending items out to recover my server this morning as the backup module had cheerfully backed up the corrupted world a few times overwriting any "clean" backups after the server had crashed a few hours earlier.
Hey, great tool, but i cant change how often the backup runs. i edited the config from 1440 minutes to 180 minutes but nothing happens. the config also mention a /ReloadConfig command but the command dont show up ingame even when it is set to trueso was the /ReloadConfig forgotten about or is it coming in the future?

Works for me...
backup {
# Enables automatic backups at specified intervals
B:AutoBackupEnable=true
# Auto-Backup interval in minutes
I:AutoBackupInterval=60
# Enable the world backup module
B:BackupEnable=true
# Wildcards are %MONTH, %DAY, %YEAR, %HOUR, %MINUTE, %SECOND
S:BackupFileName=%MONTH-%DAY-%YEAR_%HOUR-%MINUTE-%SECOND
# The path where backups will be stored
S:BackupPath=Backup
# Set to -1 to disable day limit
I:DaysToKeepBackups=-1
# In Megabytes, Use -1 to disable size limit
I:MaxBackupDirSize=-1
# The maximum number of backups to keep, set to -1 to disable this check
I:MaxNumBackups=50
# Send backup start-stop messages to ops
B:StartStopMessageOP=true
# Send backup start-stop messages to all non-ops
B:StartStopMessageUser=true
# Comma separated list of users to always send backup messages to
S:StartStopMessageWhitelist=
}
Backups server every hour, with a maximum of 50 backups at a time.
If I understand the config right, you need to set both "Enables automatic backups at specified intervals" and "Enable the world backup module" to true.
Just released 1.6.4 build 21:
-Hopefully fixed a CME when saving worlds
-Completely rewrote the home system. You now have a home in each dimension
-Added a blacklist for files in the backup
-Fixed op's names always being coloured regardless of the config setting
-Changed the MOTD from gray to white to make it easier to read
Thanks for the updates and work you put in on this mod! This is exactly what we were looking for but we can't seem to be able to use the /spawnmob command from the server itself, the message "You must specify which player you wish to perform this action on." is all we're getting.
It would be useful to be able to specify the player from the console, we're looking to rcon mobs onto players on our server.
Is it possible for you to add some kind of world border into this?
i want to stop people from exploring too far.
not found a mod that will do this yet, used to use it alot on our bukkit server
Greetings! I am currently trying to figure out a mob spawning issue that recently cropped up on my private server. The mob spawns became overbearing (as in tons of mobs everywhere always), with groups of around 3-5 witches spawning together constantly, etc.
Here is a screenshot with REI Minimaps' Entities Radar activated:
As you can see, it is a bit overboard. So on to my thoughts on the issue. I am convinced it is ServerTools because I added both Thaumcraft and ServerTools at the same time. I cannot really disable Thaumcraft, so I disabled ServerTools, and the mob spawning seemed normal. The problem is that nowhere in ServerTools did I see anything in the configs about mob spawning. There is the kill commands, and entitycounting and whatnot, but I dont see how it is affecting the spawning.
Has anyone else seen something like this? Is it perhaps a bug, that ServerTools shouldn't change anything about spawning mobs but does? Or maybe I am way off base and this mod has nothing to do with my issue?

Hmm. ServerTools doesn't touch anything related to mob spawning so I'm fairly sure that it isn't at fault. Thaumcraft does add a lot of mobs and spawning mechanics. I would look at that.

I'll look into this. Right now I'm working on ServerTools 2 and possibly a permission system.

Question for everyone who uses ServerTools. Should I keep working on 1.6 or move on to 1.7? http://strawpoll.me/989076

Thank you matthew. I would agree with you, after another day of playing without Server Tools the mob spawning still seems to be broken.
I will post in the Thaumcraft 4 thread for help, as I can't find anything related to mob spawning beyond "allowing" angry zombies and such to spawn in the configs.
Thank you for this mod!
However, I found one problem. It appears that folder with server must contain no more than 5 characters.
My server was in folder Alderaan (same name as the world), and backup failed with just this message "[SEVERE] [ServerTools|Backup] The backup did not complete successfully".
I looked in backup folder and found a 75 byte archive. I openned it in text editor, and among other characters it contained strange path to the first file of world: "eraan\.\Alderaan\chickenchunks\loginTimes.dat".
I renamed server folder to Al, and the problem disappeared.

I don't think the folder name caused the problem. Please check your server log and post a pastebin of the stacktrace that is in there.

Try adding the logintimes.dat file that is causing the problem to the new file blacklist in the config. It's not an important file.
Fixed, CurseForge seems to be derping and the download widget had disappeared.
