Simply extract inside your minecraft.jar or new launcher equivalent (Delete META-INF too) and press Ctrl+F11 to turn on windowed fullscreen mode. If you don't want the menu opening when you alt-tab, press Ctrl+Alt+F11. For help for inside jar mod installation with forge read this post
I'm here to congratulate you on a job well done with this mod.
I knew more and more people would find this useful as it's not only a Performance boost to Minecraft.
Any game that runs in a bordered window has to work harder to fit it's own content in a smaller rectangle than the set resolution 2~3 pixels for each border and another 10~12 pixels for the title bar, not to mention that within a Bordered window, Windows 7's Desktop Aero takes up even more unnecessary resources from the GPU which makes Minecraft run like in a Maximized Window, Not to mention that in a window, it pre-renders the background images that are behind the window as well for a smooth transition between open windows, which IMO is ... really unnecessary (those with High-End GPU's won't be able to tell the difference).
This mod fixes all that with a Simple Twist, Borderless FullScreen Window.
No more Ugly Borders/Title bar
No more reverting to default resolution upon switching windows
A Bit better performance due to less wasted resources with the FullScreen setting of the window
This is like the Cheze within a Chocolate Coating of a Chocolate Cheese cake ... mmm cake.
Been using this mod since it came out, I'm proud to say it's on my list of things to look-up as soon as an update comes out.
Cheers.
If this mod create conflict with another mod, simply post a comment.
Capable of extending to multiple monitors or to select the size and position of the window.
There is a little bug in 1.5.1, you'll have two Minecraft window opened. I don't know from where it is coming from. I'll try to find a fix, but it is not a priority since it doesn't make the game crash or anything bad.
Adding a little GUI. The fist button "Menu" is to toggle if the Menu opens or not when you alt-tab. The second is to toggle the Windowed Fullscreen. (Old controls still remain.)
Working throught reflection, so I can say that almost all mods should work with this one. =3
The windowed fullscreen mode is having your game/application at fullscreen resolution but as a window. In Minecraft, you don't have this and when you're in Fullscreen, you cannot alt-tab without disabling the fullscreen. =3

I dont fully understand that i guess i will just try it when i get a chance.
Can't you do this already?
Just hit the box in the middle of the x and the -?
A fullsized window and a windowed fullscreen aren't the same thing. With this mod, as a videomaker, you can alt-tab easily without exiting fullscreen.
For example, if you are recording in fullscreen (1080P) and you forgot to mute Skype, if you alt-tab, Minecraft will exit fullscreen and your video will be screwed up. =3

EDIT: I had Optifine and Better Sprint installed on my client, and taking better spring off seems to have solved the issue.
2013.05.22.1
*Simplified code for simpler implementation.
*Changing controls. F12 is changed to Ctrl+F11 and Ctrl+Alt+F11 toggles the noMenuOption.
*Option to disable the menu opening when alt-tabbing. (Ctrl+Alt+F11)
If you were in full screen, you can hit F11 instead of alt-tab. I believe that's what people were saying.
Besides, you can just maximize your minecraft window if you wanted it to cover the whole screen.
2013.06.09.1
*Correcting Magic Launcher console appearing while exiting windowed fullscreen.
*The mod doesn't touch the Minecraft.class directly, so all versions of Forge
should be compatible.
If you don't want the menu opening when you alt-tab, press Ctrl+Alt+F11.

What this mod do by UnDrac:
The windowed fullscreen mode is having your game/application at fullscreen resolution but as a window. In Minecraft, you don't have this and when you're in Fullscreen, you cannot alt-tab without disabling the fullscreen. =3
I dont fully understand that i guess i will just try it when i get a chance.
Because we cannot alt-tab without exiting fullscreen in Minecraft. =P
Guess I'm not the only one who should receive it. =P
It still disable when you alt-tab.
I added a Forge port. =3

I love you so much. Oh my god. You are fantastic.
P.S. Non-forge link is broken

Fixed the links problem, sorry about that.

Could you give me a list of mods you're using ? I'm pretty sure it is an incompatibility.
Besides, you can just maximize your minecraft window if you wanted it to cover the whole screen.
The newest version (2013.05.22.1) fixes this incompatibility. (We used the same class.)
