I am loving this mod, I truly am, there are but two things that would get me to move completely away from using the Damage Indicators mod....
1. Mobs - Need to have the indicators display when you are looking at a mob. (really best way to describe is look at DI)
2. Would really like it to display even when in creative mode. (but #1 is really the only thing preventing me from a total switch over)
Optional #3 - Ability to just move the HUD components around similar to the Ars Magica 2 mod where you can type in a command and just use your mouse to reposition everything on screen)
The first one is planned. Same for the second. But I just don't see the point in activation it in creative :/ Why would you like to have it in creative as week? Also this mod is compatible with DI (using it myself - with a skin by me though)

Good to hear! I know, I am actually using both my self, but in my case ONLY because of the mob thing. As for the creative thing, reason I said optional. I am a bit wierd at times and it would be nice to see the hud while in creative mode not for any other reason, just personal preference, the mob thing, that's the big one and would make it so I only needed yours.
I'll be honest, I like yours much more, seems to be more well-thought out from my perspective and much easier to skin if only because you include them rather than having to upload to a special folder, but again, just personal preference on the skins as well.
Suffice to say, your mod is excellent and very happy with the progress so far!
Brilliant mod, using it all the time - excellent for pvp.
One question though - how does the Full Texture setting work? I don't see any information about it in the OP besides appearing in the changelog.
You have to change the Hud Type to Full-Texture. That one can be edited (edit the image file or add it to a resource pack). I was asked to make the possibility to change the textures in resource packs.
And how would one go about using the texture in a resource pack?
What is the file path for it, and would you be able to provide a handy template?
Open the modfile with a program like WinRar should do the job. "assets/spellcraftgaming/rpghud"
There you'll find the two image files. Do you really need a template? It shouldn't be that difficult

Ok, been awhile, but have a request for a layout.
Unless you have started work on being able to move the hud by dragging on the screen, could you add an option to have it centered at the bottom. So basically the hotbar version in the center of the screen and the mob portrait (when you add it) to the right side opposite the player head?

I'll add position changing (and mirroring of the stuff) within the next 1 or 2 versions. but currently I'm working on something else huge.

I just started using this mod, and I found two bugs, the first is that the health bar (the vanilla hearts) won't go away when I enable the RPG Hud, which is really annoying having two health bars. The second one is that the armor status or what to call it won't even show in the first place which is also weird, however that is not as important as the vanilla hearts wont go away.
Other than that, great mod, looking forward to further updates, would like to if you could skin the UI like in the damage indicators mod.

If it helps Kuroda, the issue I have found is not with your mod but other mods that impact player health. If they force the hearts to be static for some reason your mod can't overcome it. Tinkers used to but they removed that function when I told them about your mod.

I could implement a "force" feature which will most likely remove the hearts - if the mods are coded properly - but Iit can also cause bugs so it will be a feature that every user has to activate himself (via options).

yeah the maxHealth is taken directly from the maximum helaht variable. And everything that changes it will change the variable so yeah. You're right^^
