Introduction
Price of Progress is a mod that will give you some very fine items, but there will be something you have to give in return. Be it a debuff for you or straight life loss, there's a way you have to pay for being on the top. Progress comes at a price.

Flat Bedrock
Because non-flat bedrock is just too mainstream.
Bedrock modes are: 0: Classic - no changes are done to bedrock 1: Flat - bedrock is flat in the Overworld as well as the Nether 2: Nether - bedrock in the Overworld is changed to Netherrack, upper bedrock in the Nether is changed to Stone and lower bedrock is flattened
1 Dimension - Exile
A void dimension where nothing can hurt you. And there's also no way of getting there.
Being in the exile grants you flying and immortality ... but you can't get out.
4 Server Commands
Default commands just won't cut it anymore. You mad about a kick bro? Ever been forced to exile? /murder <player> - kills target player /exile <player> - moves target player into the exile dimension. The player is stripped of all his XP and items. Careful, doesn't persist after the server is turned down!!! /pardon-exile <player> - returns target player from the exile to the place he was exiled from. All his XP and items are given back to him. /tele <player1> <player2> - a cross-dimensional teleport /tele <player> <x> <y> <z> <dimension>
Configuration file
You can configure the bedrock type, block ID prefix, item ID prefix and exile dimension ID right now.
0.11.2 - Pyroclasm
[new] added Infuser. Infuser infuses an item with another item. It used Silver Dust, Gold Dust, Diamond Dust and Glowstone Dust as a fuel.
[new] Pyrosteel Ingot. This ingot can be crafted by infusing Tungsten Ingot with 8 pieces of Blaze Powder.
[new] Pyrosteel tools. These tools are less durable than Enriched Uranium, but offer a blazing fast speed. They also repair themself slowly while you have them selected in lava. If you have them selected in water however, they are damaged at a rate of 2 per second.

Nope, but the title gives me the idea of each time you get stronger the harder the game gets, that would be cool but impossible. :/ Yet, I think it "should" overwrite some vanillas to make the game harder.

No. I didn't add all the info yet. But for example the Ferro-Tungsten sword applies weakness potion effect on hit (100% on target). There's a 20% chance it will apply this debuff to you. Same goes for Enriched Uranium Sword. It applies wither effect to your target, but there's a chance it will be applied to you as well. And wearing Enriched Uranium armor (the whole set) will randomly deal a little damage to you.

It wouldn't be impossible, but would be hard. Right now I'm experimenting with some stuff like giving the mobs a chance to spawn with some of the armor I added.

Even though there are a lot of mods that add in some biomes, ores, and simple things, this is no different, but it seems a lot cooler than the others. good job.
The Obsidia biome looks out of place in the overworld and could be cool if it was put in the Nether, making it harder to get to and harder to survive in, also giving something for the Nether to actually be cool. And the Obsidia water could give you debuffs and you're not able to place it in the overworld making it only useful in the Nether. and you could do something like make it evaporate with particle effects of the fire in minecraft when the water touches lava, solving the question of what happens when you mix the two. And no, I don't think obsidian armor or obsidian tools/weapons should be in this mod, that way you have more diversity. Something else I haven't seen too many people do is make mobs scale depending on the biome you're in, that would separate your mod from others. Like creepers would have a bigger blast radius in the emerald biome than in the plains biome or even enderman do more damage and can spawn in the Obsidia biome more frequently than like in the forest biome.

Don't worry, there are more cool features coming, I just don't want to release them all at once. I release a part, improve the balance, add new stuff, and so on ...
But thanks for some interesting ideas.
What I can tell you now is:
- I definitely have more plans for the Obsidia biome. The thing is ... it's supposed to feel out of place. There will be some kind of a connection with something else. Currently, nothing should spawn there ... there will be something else to spawn. The night is dark and full of terrors
- As to the Nether. I actually don't have plans for the Nether. Only a few minor things maybe, but it's definitely not anything I'd want to focus on right now as I have tons of ideas for other things now.
- Obsidian tools and armor are not coming. They were never even planned or considered since I don't think they are a meaningful thing to add.New version has been uploaded. Here's the changelog

I love exile. It's so much better than just banning someone. You get mad at someone you can just exile them instead. Definitely makes this mod worth downloading.

New version has been released. There is a new device for you to utilise and a new armor and tool set. It's crafted with Tungsten Ingot and Blaze Powder.
There's also a new biome - Snowlands, the home of snowmen and wolfs.

1 Dimension - Exile
A void dimension where nothing can hurt you. And there's also no way of getting there.
Being in the exile grants you flying and immortality ... but you can't get out.
4 Server Commands
Default commands just won't cut it anymore. You mad about a kick bro? Ever been forced to exile?
/murder <player> - kills target player
/exile <player> - moves target player into the exile dimension. The player is stripped of all his XP and items. Careful, doesn't persist after the server is turned down!!!
/pardon-exile <player> - returns target player from the exile to the place he was exiled from. All his XP and items are given back to him.
/tele <player1> <player2> - a cross-dimensional teleport
/tele <player> <x> <y> <z> <dimension>
Configuration file
You can configure the bedrock type, block ID prefix, item ID prefix and exile dimension ID right now.

Nope, but the title gives me the idea of each time you get stronger the harder the game gets, that would be cool but impossible. :/ Yet, I think it "should" overwrite some vanillas to make the game harder.
No. I didn't add all the info yet. But for example the Ferro-Tungsten sword applies weakness potion effect on hit (100% on target). There's a 20% chance it will apply this debuff to you. Same goes for Enriched Uranium Sword. It applies wither effect to your target, but there's a chance it will be applied to you as well. And wearing Enriched Uranium armor (the whole set) will randomly deal a little damage to you.
It wouldn't be impossible, but would be hard. Right now I'm experimenting with some stuff like giving the mobs a chance to spawn with some of the armor I added.

But thanks for some interesting ideas.
What I can tell you now is:
- I definitely have more plans for the Obsidia biome. The thing is ... it's supposed to feel out of place. There will be some kind of a connection with something else. Currently, nothing should spawn there ... there will be something else to spawn. The night is dark and full of terrors
- As to the Nether. I actually don't have plans for the Nether. Only a few minor things maybe, but it's definitely not anything I'd want to focus on right now as I have tons of ideas for other things now.
- Obsidian tools and armor are not coming. They were never even planned or considered since I don't think they are a meaningful thing to add.New version has been uploaded. Here's the changelog
