Most of the features of this mod are client side and don't need any support from the server, with a few exceptions:
If you have this mod installed on the server, special crafting tables (Forestry Worktable, ME Pattern Encoder, etc.) can set the recipe with shift+click even if you don't have the items on you. It will also be more reliable and less prone to lag-related glitches.
Seeing all bees, saplings, serums, pollen in NEI search requires NEI and CCC installed on the server. This is an NEI limitation that affects all items with NBT data.
Everything can be configured in /config/NEIAddons.cfg
There is a central section where you can disable addons if you don't want them, and separate sections for addon-specific options.
Read the comments, it should be pretty self-explanatory.

The mod is licensed under the MMPL-1.0, the source code is available on GitHub.
Yes this means you have permission to add it to any public or private mod pack.
If its not too hard can you release one for 1.4.7 since the modpacks are still for 1.4.7 and many servers will wait for minecraft 1.6 release?
Don't know about that, the mod was developed for 1.5 and pretty much everything i know about MC modding is 1.5.
I guess i could throw together a 1.4.7 environment and see how hard it breaks, but no promises...
a suggestion I'd like to make might be hard to add, I don't know, but it could be useful.
how about adding some more information to the bee species that you are looking up, like what their tolerances are, if they are notcurnal, flyer or cave, what their effect, pollination or fertility is and what biome they need to be bred in...
to prevent a wall of text you could try using icons for it, but again, I don't know how hard this is to code, or if it's even possible.

I too would support a 1.4.6/1.4.7 version of this mod, it looks insanely helpful for Feed The Beast users, which unfortunately is waiting on a couple other mods to update.

1.4.7 backport added, didn't require any real code changes, the hardest part was hunting down an old-enough version of the forestry API
Note that my testing of it was limited, use at your own risk.

Also heads up, there's a crash that happens if you try to look at the products of a bee that doesn't produce anything. Fix incoming soon.

Yes, any mod that registers bees with forestry will work, including Thaumic and Extra Bees.
